Our Journey in This Life

All Too Often

Wisdom in decisions, is what I ask,
For oft I encounter, difficult tasks,
All too often, I will choose the wrong paths,
Bringing down upon me, your righteous wrath.

Love in my heart, when I face enemies,
For I must consider, eternity.
All too often, when I am hurt, I hate,
This my Lord Jesus, does not appreciate.

Patience in my life, sometimes I do lack,
I ask Lord, that I stay on the right track.
Quick temper, not thinking before I speak,
Let me be like Jesus, patient and meek.

All too often I think and do wrong things,
Leading me away from the Lord’s blessings.
The devil steps in, and tempts me to stray,
Oh! Lord, please keep me on that narrow way.

Oft I consider, pleasures of the world,
As Satan tempts me, with riches unfurl’d.
I clearly do need You Lord, by my side,
If I in Heaven, e’er want to reside.

I claim Your Promise, that You won’t forsake,
For when You are near, less errors I make.
Give me wisdom Lord, to walk in Your Light,
For the devil can’t stand, Your path so bright.

As I journey, thru’ this world of sin,
Jesus gives me vict’ry, I know I’ll win.
He paid the price, He redeemed my soul,
But of my life, I must give Him control.

As I journey, I see such wickedness,
There’s so much evil, and so much stress.
Ev’n those who say “Christ is my Lord,”
Turn day by day, farther from His Word.

As I journey, I see apostasy
As we speed onward, to eternity.
They rebel against God, they transgress,
Then from God, they expect blessedness.

As I journey onward, day by day,
I get closer, to my Home far away.
I feel in my heart, sadness so great,
For O so many, the Lord Jesus do hate.

As I journey, I know Earth’s not my home,
I know one day, I’ll no longer roam.
I’m headed for that City so high,
And then for e’er, my Lord I’ll glorify.

As I journey, close to Christ I walk,
And I have peace, when He and I talk.
He’s guiding me, to my mansion above,
Where for e’er I’ll know, His amazing love.

As you survey your life, what do you see?
Is it constant stress, or serenity?
Consider, does worry always plague you?
Think . . . are your dishonest, or are you true?

Do you gossip and backbite, or say good things?
To others, are you a curse, or blessing?
Does love in your heart, to others o’er flow?
Do those around you, the true you know?

Do you cheat others, with thoughts just of greed?
And feelings of others, you never do heed.
Coveting, will bring God’s wrath down on you,
Love of money is simply the wrong view.

Do you deceive others with trickery?
Do monstrous lies, flow from your lips so free?
The deep hurt you inflict, could last for years,
Causing your victim stress, to the point of tears.

As you survey your life, what do you see?
Are you on your way to life eternally?
Are you walking on the Lord’s path of light?
Are you living, what God considers right?

If we want God’s heav’nly Home, as our own,
Love to God, and our neighbors, must be shown.
We must have faith, we must trust and obey,
We would surely be wise, to live God’s way!

Be Still, He Tells Me

Be still, He tells me, and know I am God,
As the narrow road, with Him I trod.
Things of the world, do not mean anything,
For great comfort and peace, the Lord does bring!

Be still, He tells me, don’t rush to and fro,
Rushing won’t get you, where you want to go.
Relax and enjoy, what Christ offers you,
Peace and serenity, and Heaven too!

Be still, He tells me, and stay close to Me,
As you walk the road, to eternity.
Without Me, there’s nothing you can do,
This He tells me, and I know it is true!

Be still, He tells me, and the world forget,
Staying by My side, you will not regret.
For when you stray from Me, Satan will tempt,
But when you are with Me, you are exempt!

Be still, He tells me, and always do pray,
For strength and wisdom, in every new day.
Pray that the Spirit, may always guide you,
In everything that you think, say or do!

Be still, He tells me, when My Word you read,
Let it take hold in your heart, and pay heed.
My Word is indeed, such a great treasure,
To those who obey, it gives great pleasure!

Be still, He tells me, and listen to Me,
Great is your reward, in eternity.
To love and obey Christ, is how you should go,
For just He can keep you, from Hell below!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
Scriptures for this poem: Psalm 4:4  Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (KJV) Psalm 46:10  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (KJV) (Mat.5:12; 16:27; Jn.3:15-18, 36; 14:2; 15:1-5; Phil.4:13; Ps.98:1; 1 Cor.3:14; 15:57; Col.3:24; 1 Pet.1:4; 1 Jn. 4:4; 5:4; Rev.15:2; 20:15)

Blind and Deaf Sinners

Adultery is a sin, you must beware,
Friend, it’s wrong, to think it’s just an affair.
God sees the lust in your eyes and your heart,
Immorality is sin, you must depart.

Murder is sin; “But I’ve killed no one” you say,
But God looks at things, a whole diff’rent way.
If you hate your brother, Heav’n you’ll not see,
Far, far from you, is life eternally.

God’s Word clearly tells us, we must not lie,
Or in Hell, we’ll eternally die.
When we tell ‘white lies’, it is strictly wrong,
We must not go along, with Satan’s throng.

Thou shalt not steal, God so clearly tells,
Robbery is a sin, that leads to Hell.
Men start work late, quit early ev’ry day,
And steal from their boss, in so many ways.

Coveting, what to another belongs,
Is for all God’s children, dreadfully wrong.
God’s Word absolutely, forbids man’s greed,
If we are wise, to our Master we’ll heed.

When we disobey, we sin against God,
It’s a path of rebellion, that we trod.
There’s not any other, to whom you can turn,
When you anger the Lord, make His wroth burn.

O’ blind and deaf sinner, you must awake,
Or you will wind up, in Hell’s fiery lake.
Commit your life, to Christ Jesus today,
For you can’t reach Heav’n’s gate, no other way!

Bumps, Bruises, Blessings

Do life’s bumps and bruises, plague you each day?
Do trials and temptations, come your way?
Does the devil and his tactics, deceive?
Do you shut your mind, to what you could receive?

Life’s bumps and bruises, are a certainty,
But our Lord has blessings, for you and me.
Do you from Christ, foolishly turn away?
When He could help you, in so many ways.

Life’s bumps and bruises, can make you afraid,
But, if you are wise, you’ll run to Christ for aid.
Christ offers abundant blessings, indeed,
If you will just admit, His help you need.

Thru’ bumps and bruises, Christ will not forsake,
If we walk with Him, blessings we’ll partake.
He doesn’t promise, to make troubles flee,
He does promise His Spirit, eternally.

His blessings, make bumps and bruises look small,
He will always lift us up, when we fall.
His amazing grace, is what we should seek,
Great blessings will be poured out, on the meek.

Driving Him Away

You may without knowing, drive Jesus away,
And when you do, you’ll have a troubled day.
When you drive Him away, you’ll lose His grace,
You will not feel that love, from His glorious Face.

If you drive Him away, your Friend will be sad,
You must know by now, a better Friend can’t be had.
Trials and troubles, now alone you must bear,
For you drove away, the Lord Jesus who cares.

If thru’ carelessness, you happen to lose Him,
Great will be your sorrow, your joy will be dim.
Greater love hath no man, than our precious Lord,
Driving Him away friend, you can’t afford.

Just how can you possibly, drive Christ away?
My friend, it is a sinful life you display.
God is so pure, and always righteous and just,
Repenting and confessing your sin is a must.

If we confess our sins, He will forgive us,
He’s faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Your unconfessed sins is what drives Christ away,
It’s best to have Him, on your side all the way.

Please consider your thoughts, and actions too,
You do not want to drive Christ, away from you.
To drive Him away, would be a big mistake,
Keep Him close, honor Him, a wise choice to make.

Doubt is just one way, old Satan will tempt,
Not one single saint, from doubt is exempt.
Doubt starts out so small, so we must beware,
Or soon we'll be caught up, in Satan's snare.

In a flower patch, doubt is like a weed,
Stifling out the beauty, if we don't pay heed.
We must rip it out, as fast as we can,
On the sin of doubt, we must put a ban.

Doubt is like a flea, on a dog's back,
Ready at any moment, to attack.
Not one little chance, should it be given,
For doubt and unbelief, keep you from Heaven.

Satan will tempt you continuously,
And doubt he uses, frequently.
We must beware, and always be on guard,
For old Satan, is a deceiving fraud.

Submit to God, and the devil will flee,
Only the Lord from doubt, can set you free,
Trust Him, believe in Him, walk the right road,
You'll be relieved from doubt, the devil's goad.

Doubt, disbelief, distrust, uncertain, skeptical, rebuked by Christ: (May.6:30; 8:26; 14:31; 16:8; 17:17;, Mk.4:40;, 9:19;, Lk.8:25; 24:25; Jn. 20:27; Jam.1:6). James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (KJV)

Enemies of God

To the cross of Christ, many are enemies,
As they speed head-first into eternity.
“I’m a Christian” many of them profess,
But in their heart, Christ they do not possess.

For His enemies, God shall reserve His wrath,
Ev’ry one of those, on that big, broad path,
To be a “Christian,” you must trust and obey,
You must turn from your sin, and go the right way.

The Lord’s enemies, take His Name in vain,
With vile blasphemy, ever so profane.
They talk His talk, but refuse to walk His walk,
They give in to temptation, as Satan stalks.

From the cross of Christ, many turn away,
Apostasy is rampant, this very day.
Pretending to be Christ’s, is hypocrisy,
Judgment shall be yours, like the Pharisees.

Do you say with your mouth: “Christ belongs to me,”
Are you at all concerned, ‘bout eternity?
When you talk the talk, you must walk on His path,
Or on Judgment Day, you shall feel God’s wrath.

You must repent of your sin, and it forsake,
Or the gates of Heaven, you’ll never make.
To continue in your sin, you shall see Hell,
And there for eternity, you will dwell.

The faults in others’ lives that I see,
I hate to admit; there’s many in me.
Help me, that these faults, I recognize,
That I may live my life truly wise.

We’ve just one life; let’s learn to live right,
For best results, we must walk in His Light.
I must confess that weakness is mine,
Each time I resist, strength from the Vine.

We get discouraged spiritually,
When we treat our Saviour carelessly.
Faulty doubts and fears assail our soul,
Only Jesus can heal, and make us whole.

Our daily faults can bring us sorrow,
If the steps of Christ, we do not follow.
Spiritual treasures we should hold dear,
As we live our life, holding Christ near.

From the Pit to the Palace

Joseph’s brothers looked on him with hate,
They would be his destiny to fate.
His many colored coat, from far away,
They saw coming closer, that v’ry day.

Joseph’s brothers dreamed up evil things,
Far from their wicked hearts, were blessings.
Into a deep pit, him they did throw,
Joseph looked up with tears, from below.

Slave traders came thru’ and bought the boy,
Sold him into Potiphar’s employ.
Joseph was good and honest and pure,
Serving willingly, he did endure.

It was soon, great temptation set in,
Potiphar’s wife, wanted him to sin.
When he refused, revenge she did seek,
Imprisoned, this godly man, so meek.

Dreams of the butler and the baker,
Interpreted thru’ Joseph, by His Maker.
Then the great Pharaoh had a dream too,
Joseph was called, interpreted it true.

Seven years of plenty, seven years of need,
Joseph’s wisdom, many people would feed.
Storing grain in the plentiful years,
In the famine, it would ward off fears.

From Pharaoh’s palace, Joseph did rule,
Second in command, nobody’s fool.
From the pit, into which Joseph was cast,
To a huge palace, with pow’r so vast.

Genesis chapters 37-50

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (KJV)

The fruits of the Spirit, our awesome God describe,
These wondrous blessings, for us He does prescribe.
The fruits of the Spirit, are indeed a blessing,
Our awesome God gives to His children, such grand things!
The love of God, is beyond comprehension,
Sending His Son, to save us, from perdition.
Since God loves us so, we must love others too,
For then one sweet day, we shall see Heaven’s view.
Joy is something, so much more than happiness,
In His presence is the fullness of joy, and gladness.
Although we see Him not, yet we still do believe,
And by believing, joy unspeakable, we receive.
When we become God’s children, Jesus gives us peace,
From worry, strife and Satan’s snares, we have release.
Our heart is no longer troubled, and we have no fear,
For the Presence of our awesome Saviour, is near.
If we hope for Heaven, then we patiently wait,
And one sweet day, we shall walk thru’ the pearly gate.
If we patiently endure, His Promise we will obtain,
Our inheritance in Heaven, one day we shall gain.
He gathers the lambs, carries them so tenderly,
Those in His flock, He leads and guides very gently.
God’s wisdom is full of mercy, gentle and pure,
And the pasture of His flock, is safe and secure.
Great is His goodness, for all those who fear Him,
He lights the pathway, so it is never dim.
His goodness and mercy shall follow me, all my days,
And one day I shall see, Heaven’s glorious display.
It is the will of God, that we have faith and believe,
We must believe what He says, and His Son receive.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God,
We must trust Him, as the narrow road we trod.
The meek shall live and be satisfied, ev’ry day,
The meek He will guide, and these will He teach His way.
These shall inherit the earth, and in peace delight,
For they humble themselves, before His great light.
Let us be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath,
As we control our self, and stay on the narrow path.
Do not let sin reign within you, or its lusts obey,
Jesus is there to help you, each and ev’ry day.

The fruits of the Spirit, are in His Hands alone,
He produces them, and in us they are grown.
To quench the Holy Spirit, is wrong indeed,
Always allow Him to work, and to Him, pay heed!

Discouragement comes after fruitless tries,
God knows your problem, and He hears your cries.
Into His bottle, He puts your many tears,
God knows your troubles, your worries and fears.

When you feel as if, life has passed you by,
God knows and cares, on Him you can rely.
No matter what you think, life is ne’er on hold,
God is in control, His answers will unfold.

When you do something, that you shouldn’t do,
God knows, for He is always watching you.
Cast out hatred, gossip, lies and blasphemy,
And disobedience and idolatry.

All evil must be far from you and me,
We must overcome, to have victory.
God knows when you’re tempted, He’ll see you thru’,
He’ll speed strength and wisdom, quickly to you.

God knows His children, sees deep in their heart,
Tho’ you may backslide, He’ll never depart.
With His true children, He will reside always,
Thru’ this life, and all eternity’s days.

If your name is written in the Book of Life,
Heav’n shall be yours, as the Lamb’s perfect wife.
God knows and loves you, and to His Home you’ll go,
And a “mansion” up there, He shall bestow!

Have you reached out your hand to Him for aid?
Have you turned to Him, when you were afraid?
Have you, your worries, taken to Him?
Have you trusted Him, in shadows dim?

In your confusion, did you ask Him to guide?
Did you ask that your daily needs, He provide?
Did you ask that your doubts He remove?
Did you ask that you live a life, that He approves?

Have you thanked Him for removing your fear?
Have you thanked Him for His Presence, near?
Have you thanked Him for His guiding light?
Have you thanked Him for making darkness bright?

Have you thanked Him for taking pain away?
Have you thanked Him for every new day?

His Arms are around me, I have no fear,
No matter where I go, He’s always near.
Although trials and troubles, may come and go,
His Presence is a blessing. This I know.

His Arms are around me, worries are gone,
I am no longer, the old devil’s pawn.
With His Presence near, my troubles subside,
The Holy Spirit within, does reside.

His Arms are around me, in day or night.
He lifted me up, from an awful plight.
The many temptations, simply persist,
But knowing He’s close, helps me to resist.

His Arms are around me, I’m truly blest,
He ne’er strays from me, what e’er the test.
Walking that narrow road, is hard to do,
I’ll keep on, for one day, I’ll be with You.

His Arms are around me, I have great joy,
This feeling I have, no one can destroy.
His awesome Presence, within me resides,
I’m grateful this blessing, He applies.

His Arms are around me, is peace of mind,
He leads and guides me, and right roads I find.
His near Presence, is a blessing indeed,
Lord, give me wisdom, that I may pay heed.

His Arms are around me, I have this hope,
Salvation is mine, I don’t have to grope.
God promised this to me, ‘fore the world began,
Since He cannot lie, He’ll fulfill His Plan!

This earthly life will always be bright,
When our hearts, by Jesus, are made right.
If we walk where He guides us, each day,
Burdens will be lifted, along the way.

If we were to walk, on a city street,
That’s O so busy, with so many feet,
He’s there, no matter how huge the crowd,
And His Voice is soft, tho’ theirs is loud.

If you walk on a lone mountain path,
Out away from man’s, unholy wrath.
All you hear is a bird’s cheery song,
His Presence is there, as you stroll along.

No matter where you go, or what you do,
His Presence will always be with you.
An awesome feeling, to know He’s there,
His amazing grace, shows He does care.

His Presence, so much peace provides,
For we know He’ll always lead and guide.
His Presence, is from God, a blessing true,
A great privilege we have, me and you.

If you don’t know Jesus, you miss so much,
You’ll never know His love, or tender touch.
The bliss of Heaven, you will never see,
For Christ Jesus, holds Heaven’s only key.

Do you want His Presence, e’er so near?
Do you want Him, to comfort and cheer?
Open the door, to your heart today,
And Jesus will help you with each new day.

How Long???

Many more years, or an hour more,
None of us know what God holds in store.
All of us have an alloted time,
I do not know, when death will be mine.

We all dream dreams that never come true,
They just vanish, with the morning dew.
Instead we should think of eternity,
Because our time to go, is a mystery.

Some friends’ trust o’er the years, I could not reap,
Left alone in sorrow, I did weep.
But there is a true Friend, who does care,
In all pain and sorrow, He’s always there.

Tomorrow for you, may ne’er arrive,
Today may be your last day alive.
Dear Lord, teach us to number our days,
Life is so short, guide me in all right ways.

Our days are like a shadow that declines,
Life on Earth tomorrow, may not be mine.
Like cut grass, we all will wither and die,
We know not the day, we cannot deny.

Let’s apply our hearts to wisdom each day,
Let’s spend our time wisely in all our ways.
Many more years, or just an hour more,
Not one of us know what God has in store.

Ps.37:2; Ps.9:4; Ps.102:11; Ps.103:14,16; Eccles. 6:12; 1 Peter 1:17; James 4:14;

Let us realize how brief life is, let us use the little time we have more wisely and for eternal good. We never know from one day to the next what may happen. Take time to number your days. Ask yourself: “Is there something specific I should do before I die? What can I do to make this a reality? Am I right with God?”

I Could Run

I could run, but I can ne’er hide from You,
You see where I am, and know what I do.
You know the thoughts of my mind, ev’ry one,
You know the end of things, ‘fore they’ve begun.

How could I hide anything from Thy sight?
With You the darkest night, is brilliant light.
When I try to hide, myself I deceive,
Your stern correction, is what I’ll receive.

Running from You O Lord, is foolishness,
When this fool runs from You, You will not bless.
What makes me think that I can outsmart You?
My actions are ne’er, hidden from Your view.

Why can’t I learn that I can’t run and hide?
But instead let You always, be my Guide.
Life wouldn’t be as hard, if I’d obey,
Change me from a fool to a wise man this day.

Continued wrong decisions, and wrong roads,
Will ne’er lead me to Heav’n’s blissful abode.
‘Twill simply bring down, God’s vengeful wrath,
As I try to hide, on that big, broad path.

Running from God, is of no use at all,
In the end, we’ll all hear, His judgment call.
God is so good, WHY do we run away?
When all He wants is to bless us each day.

I must have close fellowship with Him,
Or my chance of Heav’n, is very dim.

I must consider, how others feel,
I must serve Jesus, with love and zeal.
Faith in my Saviour, must persevere,
If I am to feel, His Presence near.

I’ll stray from the narrow path, I know,
But with wisdom from Christ, back I’ll go!
Satan will tempt me, day after day,
I must trust Christ Jesus, all the way.

I must stay on that strait, narrow path,
If I am to avoid, the Father’s wrath.
I must stay away, from the broad road,
That leads to Satan’s fiery abode.

Most of the world, to the broad road flock,
But to them, the gates of Heav’n are lock’d.
The lone gate of Hell, will let them in,
For the God of wrath, condemns their sin.

Unbelief is a terrible thing,
Satan blinds the eyes, to God’s blessings.
Making folks think, the broad road is right,
Blindness keeps them off, the path of light.

Help me Lord, to stay on the narrow road,
That leads me to my eternal Home.
I must stay close to You, I must obey
I know dear Jesus, there’s no other way.

Without Christ, I have no pow’r at all,
In ev’ry hour, on Him I must call.
O’ how I need, His strength ev’ry day,
And His guidance, to show me the way!

I need Him, when temptation sets in,
His pow’r alone, can keep me from sin.
Satan comes at me, from ev’ry angle,
Christ makes me strong, when with him I tangle!

I need Christ Jesus, when pain appears,
Comfort is there, when His Presence is near.
The pain lessens, considerably,
When I feel His Presence, close to me!

Without Christ, the wrong roads, oft’ I take,
I need His help, right choices to make.
Always on paths of light, me, He leads,
I must love and honor Him, and pay heed!

Without Christ, ‘twould be the Lake of Fire,
WITH Christ, ‘tis Heav’n, which is my desire,
His Promise, a mansion that awaits,
And a glorious entrance, at Hean’n’s gate!

WITH Christ, we will spend eternity,
Taking in all, Heav’n’s glorious beauty,
A grand Saviour and Lord, we have indeed,
Heav’n is ours, if we trust Him and pay heed!

It Could Have Been Worse

It could have been worse, you must consider,
As o’er your circumstance, you do ponder.
God may test us, with great severity,
To see where we’ll stand, both you and me.

When painful troubles, on us does arrive,
Our faith must be strong, or we’ll not survive.
The closeness of Jesus, is O’ so near,
When we stand firm with Him, we need not fear.

“It could have been worse; I cannot see how,”
These words you speak, as you wipe sweat from your brow.
But there’s been someone before, who’s felt your woe,
Consider this, as thru’ each day you go.

Worry and depression, these do you feel?
And agonizing pain, so very real?
Confusion in your mind, as you ask “Why?”
Many tears flow, as you continue to cry.

There’s someone worse off, if you’d look around,
Troubles to many people, do abound.
Our faith must be steadfast, we must trust the Lord,
Let’s always stay close to Him and His Word.

We know not what another person feels,
When they go thru’ their trouble, as they heal.
We must remember as we go thru’ each day,
When Christ is your Friend, He’s there all the way.

You’re on a journey, to eternity,
Just what will your destination be?
Only two roads from which you can choose,
The narrow road you win, the wide one, you lose!

As on your journey, you speed,
Be careful, that warning signs you heed.
Two diff’rent guides, will attempt to lead you,
One a deceiver, the other One true!

On to eternity, as you journey,
Your destination, you choose freely.
Many will be, on that road so wide,
But only a “few” with Christ will abide!

Most important, is this journey you take,
Critical, is the decision you make.
In Heaven, you can live joyously,
Hell will bring only agony!

As you journey, to eternity,
Ponder, what will your destination be?
Jesus can give you Heaven’s grand key,
Satan can give only agony!

Which precise road are you on today?
Only Jesus can show the right way!
Just He can lead you to Heav’n above,
Trust Him to guide you in perfect love.

For tomorrow’s needs, I do not pray,
Dear Lord supply needs, just for today.
From the stain of sin Lord, keep me free,
Let Your Spirit give me, victory.

Let me no wrong, unthinking words say,
Dear Lord keep my tongue, just for today.
Let not slander and gossip, come to mind,
Let Your Spirit give, words that are kind.

For tomorrow’s needs, I do not ask,
Dear Lord give me strength, for this day’s tasks.
From temptation’s lure, keep me away,
Dear Lord please guard me, just for today.

Grant comfort and pow’r, for this day alone,
Give me light, that the right road be shown.
Guide me safely, as I live for Thee,
On the narrow road, to eternity.

Dear Lord let me serve You, willingly,
For this day alone, give victory.
I should not care ‘bout tomorrow’s needs,
For at that time, blessings will proceed.

You provide for me, abundantly,
Now in this world, and eternity.
I believe and trust You, all the way,
But for now I ask, just for today.

God’s love is like the calm, after a storm,
Comforting and peaceful; and so warm!
In life, many storms do come about,
Just keep your faith; and don’t ever doubt!

God’s love is like a warm gentle rain,
Falling on dry, parched land again.
We , like the land, must have rain to live,
Just keep your faith; and His love He’ll give.

God’s love is like a mountain, so tall,
Strong and majestic; He won’t let us fall!
Satan will try to tempt you, ev’ry day,
Just keep your faith; and to the Lord, do pray.

God’s love is like an anchor, dropped deep,
Moored securely; us He will keep.
Great angry billows roll thru’ our life,
Just keep your faith; He takes away strife.

God’s love is like a lighthouse, so high,
His light shines far out; no one can deny!
No matter how great the storm; He’s there!
Just keep your faith; no one can compare!

Let me learn more of your love; ‘tis my request!
Such great compassion, grace and tender mercy,
All blessings, you bestow on us so freely!

Lead me, lead me, Lord, away from wicked ways,
Tho’ Satan does tempt us with their bright array.
Worldly pleasures are here now, but gone tomorrow,
Lord, keep me away from eternal sorrow!

Lead me, lead me, Lord, from habits that are sin,
Fill me with your Spirit, as each new day I begin!
Let me walk in your ways, casting evil aside,
For I want only with my Lord to abide!

Lead me, lead me, Lord, that I might know you more,
For ‘tis clear, just You hold ‘keys’ to Heaven’s door!
Just You precious Jesus, can give us access,
Without You in our heart, God will never bless!

Lord Jesus, lead me, that I might live for You,
Help me show to others, a love that is true!

When you need a shoulder to cry on,
There is a Friend, who is God’s own Son!
Softly He calls out, in our agony,
“I am here for you, just lean on Me.”

When all that you touch seems to go wrong,
He’s there with His pow’r, to make us strong.
“Lean on Me” He does tenderly say,
And when we do, ‘tis a better day!

So oft’ we are so helpless and weak,
We should not wait, His guidance to seek.
“Lean on Me” O so sweetly He calls,
There in a heartbeat, each time we fall!

We all need nourishment from the Vine,
‘Tis only then, will our lights truly shine.
Each and ev’ry time we lean on Him,
The troubles of life seem to grow dim!

He tenderly calls to you today,
“Lean on Me, you’ll have a brighter day.”
With Christ on our side, we’ve nought to fear,
Lean on Him, my friend, for He is near!

LESSON FROM THE BEATITUDES . . . November 2012 Monthly Message

We must cast off pride, for humility,
For Heav’n to be ours, for eternity.
We must really mourn, for all sin we do,
Or we won’t receive comfort, pure ad true.

A meek, quiet spirit, is of great price,
To God in Heav’n, and never a vice.
The meek one day will inherit the Earth,
So, meekness unto us, is of much worth.

If we hunger and thirst, for righteousness,
God will see we are filled; God will bless.
If we long to be just and good inside,
As our dear Saviour; we’ll be satisfied.

If we no mercy to our brothers show,
No mercy from our God, to us, will flow.
Our heart within us must be true and pure,
Or we’ll never see God; and that is sure.

We must not squabble, one with another,
Try to be at peace, with all our brothers.
Blissful Heav’n awaits all children of God,
That kingdom will be ours, for e’er to trod.

We’re truly blessed, when they persecute,
Any of God’s own, whom Christ did depute.
If they revile, or speak evil falsely,
We should rejoice, and be very happy!

These things of which Christ spoke; are hard to do,
But with the love of our Lord, they’ll ensue.
Trust and obey; always give Him first place,
And my friend, one day, you shall see His Face.

Lesson from Ezekiel

So many rebellious ones, disagree,
With the Lord GOD, Who rules eternity.
To warn of sin, Ezekiel did his best,
But the Jews would not, put their sin to rest!

God’s prophet did, as the LORD did command,
Not once did he ever, make a demand.
He did always, the Glorious God obey,
He never did think, of another way!

The Book of Ezekiel, clearly does teach,
A lesson, all our hearts and minds, should reach.
There’s only One God, the Almighty LORD,
And we must believe, His prophesied Word!

To watch and to warn, ready we must be,
As we see all around us, iniquity.
We must be a watchman, and warn of God’s wrath,
Warn sinners to get on, the narrow path.

God told the prophet, to do some strange things,
Most of which, to him ridicule did bring.
The rebellious people, would not believe,
And the Truth of God, they would not receive!

Because of the people’s iniquity,
God removed the Presence, of His Glory.
God’s Glory, from the Temple did depart,
Because of sin lodged, in the people’s hearts.

Upon sinners, God’s fury shall rest,
Their transgressions, cannot stand His test!
I am the LORD, this Truth they shall know,
For He is in charge, of Hell below!

A lesson we should learn, from this grand Book,
If we’d just open it, and take a look.
If we are rebellious, and disobey,
God’s wrath will fall, there’s no other way!

Lessons From Life

What have I learned, in my life on Earth?
My wisdom and strength, are of no worth.
I must be humble, I must be meek,
If the Lord’s guidance, I truly seek.

I must ne’er think, “I’ll do it on my own,”
If I e’er want, God’s will to be shown.
I must have faith, and trust Him each day,
And I must love Him, and Him obey.

The Lord many troubles, will permit,
But He’ll always help, by His Spirit.
His Promise “I will not leave or forsake,”
But a commitment to Him, first we must make.

Tho’ temptation and trials, oft are great,
Vast comfort from Him, won’t e’er be late.
His loving Presence, is e’er so near,
We must have faith, not worry or fear.

At times His will, we can’t comprehend,
But if we love and obey, He’s our Friend.
Lessons from life can sometimes be hard,
But from His Throne of grace, we’re ne’er barr’d.

If we are God’s child, and love Him true,
He will always be there, for me and you.
We must be humble, we must be meek,
If the Lord’s guidance, we truly seek.

Such a great comfort, to know He’s there,
So encouraging, to Know He cares.
No matter our trouble, no matter our pain,
Christ’s love, strength, wisdom and help, we can gain.

I do not ask for all pleasant to be,
All I ask of you, let me trust in Thee.

Tho’ my life shall become a rugged way,
You shall be my power, on thru’ each day.
A smooth easy path I’ll not ask of you,
Just let me trust in Thee, in all that I do.

Trials and temptations will come; one by one,
We all have a race, that we have to run.
You promise grace to overcome each day,
Just let me trust in Thee, all of the way.

Your strength, O’ Lord, is made perfect in me,
For I am weak on my own, without Thee.
I know that with You, I can do it all,
So let me trust in Thee, lest I do fall.

Let me be content, whatever state I’m in,
Don’t let me doubt you; for that would be sin!
Please give me strength to go on life’s way,
Let me trust in Thee always, day after day.

Before men, we should let our light shine,
Not as pleasing man, but God divine!

Our Creator God who lives on High!

Our God is pleased when fruits we bear,
One secret; go to the Lord in pray’r!

We thru’ Jesus, our God can appease!

We as Christians, should God glorify,
Honor, revere, and on Him rely!
We must be united thru’ His Spirit,
That all see Christ, in works we submit!

Strive to please God, be rich in good works,
In service to God, we must not shirk!
Deep, true love, all His children must show,
To God and our brethren, we must bestow!

Be thankful, that He sent us His Son!

In all the right paths, let your Spirit guide,
So that with you, dear Lord, I can abide.
Keep my eyes on you, for Satan is strong,
Let your Spirit guide, and keep me from wrong.

The devil is strong in the world today,
He’ll not cease trying to lead me astray.
I need God’s armor, full and complete,
For with my strength alone, I can’t compete!

Let your Spirit guide on roads rough and steep,
Don’t let me fall into canyons so deep.
Keep this fragile ‘sheep’ from going astray,
Let your Spirit guide, or I’ll surely sway.

Let your Spirit show me right paths to take,
Without His guidance, I’ll make vast mistakes.
I want loving friendship, Lord, with you,
Just with your Spirit, can I this pursue.

You have granted eternal life in Heav’n,
This ‘gift’ tops the list of many you’ve giv’n.

There is life beyond the grave; indeed,
So the Gospel of Christ we must heed.
Trust Jesus as your Saviour today,
Only with Him will you go the right way!

For certain, there’s life beyond the grave,
List’ to the Gospel; be bold and brave.
To access God, you must go thru’ His Son,
Or the gates of Heaven can’t be won!

Beyond the grave, there’s eternity,
All souls are eternal; both you and me.
There’s two destinations, where we could go,
To blissful Heaven, OR Hell below!

As we on this Earth, our lives do live,
A free will; our gracious God does give.
He will not force us, to go His way,
He gives us freedom, to decide each day!

Accept OR reject Jesus, God’s Son,
This decision is an eternal one.
Only Christ, your soul from Hell can save,
For friend, there IS life, beyond the grave!

Life at times, can surely get you down,
And bring to your face, depressing frowns.
But you can smile right thru’ those clouds of doubt,
When your heart is happy, sing and shout.

Getting up on the wrong side of bed,
Can really cause us, such awful dread.
Don’t let the old devil, get to you,
Christ can help change those dark skies to blue.

Satan will tempt you, ev’ry which way,
Time off he doesn’t take, any day.
Satan will tempt you, just where you’re weak,
Keep smiling, as the Lord’s help, you seek.

We all have valleys, we must go thru’,
As we walk the narrow road, tried and true.
We all will have, more mountains to climb,
As we travel on, to Heav’n sublime.

The secret to life; we must have faith,
Trusting the Lord, ‘til our v’ry last breath.
We must be thankful, and we must smile,
Walking in His light, each step of each mile.

As we walk the narrow road of life,
We shall encounter, so v’ry much strife.
Mountains and valleys, we must go thru,
As we walk in Jesus’ light, so true.

We all will at times, experience doubt,
But with our faith, we can cast it out.
Jesus is the answer, to all life’s woes,
He gives peace and joy, relieving sorrow.

Life is Like a Slippery Slope

Like is like climbing a slippery slope,
Guidance from the Spirit, must be our hope.
Sometimes it’s one step forward, two steps back,
Trusting Christ’s Spirit, can keep us on track.

When climbing a slope, we may slip and slide,
But trusting Christ, answers He will provide.
Life is like a slope, and at times we’ll slip,
But with Christ on our side, it’s a nice trip!

Our life on Earth, has many ups and down,
Some of those slipp’ry slopes, cause us to frown.
Then we may come, to a valley below,
Where calm, sweet gentleness, God does bestow.

There are many steep hills, in life’s rough roads,
That lead us, to our eternal abode.
Just two destinations, Heaven and Hell,
Which one of these two places, will you dwell?

Life’s roads can lead, to a valley of doom,
Where distress, troubles and temptations loom.
Trusting Christ at these times, is what to do!
Have faith in Him, and he will see you thru’!

Our Lord will always, lead, guide and direct,
And His children on life’s roads, He’ll protect!
We can overcome, the most slipp’ry slope,
When we trust the Lord, as our greatest hope!

LIFE IS A STRUGGLE . . . September 2010 Monlthy Message

As we live for Christ, many forces we face,
To survive but a moment, we need God’s grace!
Life is a struggle, and desperate indeed,
To the counseling of God, we must heed!

Filth is rampant, in movies and T.V.,
Social upheaval o’erflows, you must agree!
The “real world” is a superficial facade,
God clearly states it is destin’d to fade.

Satan tries all Truth, to twist and distort,
On God’s wisdom and pow’r, we must resort!
Our eyes and minds Satan strives to deceive,
We must be on guard, that we don’t believe!

Life is a struggle; a constant warfare,
But Jesus our burden, will gladly share!
When worries and troubles greatly annoy,
Wisdom and pow’r from Christ, we must employ!

The armor of God is a precious aid,
When we wear it, we need not be afraid!
When the “day of evil” comes, we’ll stand our ground,
Because wisdom and pow’r in Christ is found!

Truth, righteousness, and the Gospel of peace,
When we put on Christ, these blessings increase!
Salvation is your helmet, God’s Word your sword,
Hold steady your shield, which is faith in the Lord!

Without ceasing, God’s children should always pray,
To change our darkness to bright shining day!
Resist the devil; Christ will make him flee,
Life’s struggles will give way to victory!

Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Thes.5:16-23; Jam.4:7
Christ is our Armor: Truth (Jn.14:6) Righteousness (Ro.10:4; 1 Cor.1:30)
Peace (Jn.14:27. 16:33; Phil.4:7) Faith (Ro.5:1) Salvation (Jn. 3:15-18, 1 Jn. 5:11-12)
Sword of the Spirit (Heb.4:12; Jn.15:3; 17:17; 10:30) Prayer (Jn.16:24)
We must “put on Christ” each day we live.

For a bountiful garden, we must strive,
Much care is needed to keep plants alive.
So too, with our lives, we truly must work,
We must never, our obligations shirk.

The garden spot, we must cultivate,
Loosening up the soil, to aerate.
So too, with our heart, we must dig deep,
To remove hate’s hardness, but all love keep.

A garden must have sunshine and rain,
Or it won’t produce, and give us gain.
Life has happiness, but also sorrow,
This is the way that our soul does grow.

In the garden, all weeds we must discard,
If we don’t, good plants they will retard.
Too, with life, take care what we allow in,
We must weed out, ev’ry little sin.

In the garden of life, plant just good seed,
Then turn to God for nourishment we need.
Let God tend our garden ev’ry day,
That we are productive for always.

Life is Like a River of No Return

Life is like, a river of no return,
At times we are at peace, sometimes we yearn.
About our tomorrows, we never know,
We must trust the Lord, blessings to bestow.

On this river, we know not what will be,
As we travel on, to eternity.
A steep, rough mountain, may hinder our way,
A deep, jagged gorge, might appear the next day.

On this river, rough rapids may persist,
So we must never, Christ’s Spirit resist.
We are always under, God’s watchful eye,
On His amazing grace, we must rely.

We never know, what lurks in the shadow,
The devil plays some tricks, we need to know.
Constant temptations, he brings into play,
He ne’er ceases his evil, night or day.

There’s no return, on the river of life,
Which is at times, filled with troubles and strife.
We must live each day, with God on our side,
Knowing His Spirit within does abide.

It is appointed to man, just once to die,
That’s why on the Spirit, we must rely.
Life is like a river, of no return,
We must choose, Heav’n’s bliss, or in Hell to burn.

God gives us this life on Earth, to decide,
Where in eternity, we will reside.
We need to be wise, we need to choose right,
The darkness of Hell, or Heav’n’s glorious light.

Life on Earth

Your life on Earth, one day shall end,
Do you have Christ Jesus, as your Friend?
Or do you with the devil’s crowd play?
You must choose your path, as you go your way.

Some will tell you, that God chooses you,
And that there is nothing, you can do.
My dear friend, that is the devil’s lie,
You CAN choose Jesus, and on Him rely.

You must choose, to walk in Jesus’ light,
Stay away from Satan’s road, dark as night.
You DO have a choice, you can decide,
Where in eternity, you will reside.

Do you have a sin, you won’t forsake?
I’m here to tell you, that’s a big mistake.
Does old Satan, have his hook in you?
You can be one, of God’s faithful few.

There are just two roads, to eternity,
We must choose the right one, you and me.
The narrow road leads, to Heav’n above,
The broad road goes to Hell, far from God’s love.

You CAN be one, of God’s chosen few,
Open your heart’s door, and Christ shall rescue.
You CAN one day, live with Christ on high,
Choose Him this day, and on Him rely.

Life’s Testing

When things around you, all go awry,
Direct your pray’r, far above the sky.
When things are far beyond your control,
Great peace can o’er flow, your distress’d soul.

Things around you, won’t always go your way,
Worldly things, are under Satan’s sway.
Tremendous joy, can be yours in life,
Christ Jesus can help you, relieve your strife.

When things around you, seem to be a test,
Talking to Jesus, is always the best.
He can help you ease your troubled mind,
Comfort and peace, you are sure to find.

When things around you, greatly baffle you,
And all goes astray, no matter what you do.
Talking to a Friend, always brings relief,
His Presence will always, lessen your grief.

When things around you, seem so severe,
And sharp, stinging pain is for e’er near.
In the Lord Jesus’ Name, direct your pray’r,
Blessed hope will arrive, for He does care.

Take it to Jesus, He loves you so,
Talking to Him, will always ease sorrow.
You don’t need to go thru’ troubles alone,
Jesus made it so, we could go to God’s Throne.

Lift up your hearts high, in holy songs of praise,
Thank Him for His great love, and help thru’ our days.
The breath of life, that to us He has given,
And best of all, eternal life in Heaven!

Thank Him for friends, family, and for your home,
All the beautiful Creation, He has shown.
All these many blessings; precious and rare,
Lift up your hearts to Him, in humble prayer!

These blessings from Him; gifts money cannot buy,
Most taken for granted; He must want to cry!
Why can’t we thank Him, and praise His holy Name?
We are each one guilty, what a crying shame!

We each need to go to the foot of the Cross,
Get rid of our sin, and from all that is dross.
Let’s get our hearts right, our attitudes changed,
Do right by our God, by a life rearranged!

Lift up your hearts high, in holy songs of praise,
Be grateful to Him always, for all our days!
The blessings He gives, so precious, and with love,
Can come just from God in His Home high above!

Your vast goodness, like a river flows,
Great love, kindness and mercy You show!
There is no other, as good as You,
Lord Jesus, You are always true!

Like a river, flows on parch’d land,
Goodness, You disperse from your Hand.
You aid the humble ones, when they ask,
Pow’r is there, for our ev’ry task!

Like a river, so gently flowing,
Is your grand goodness, that You bring.
You shed on us your lovingkindness,
Poured out amply, as You do bless.

Your wondrous goodness, freely flows,
To God’s children, in their sorrow.
Sudden goodness, does comfort and cheer,
‘Tis O so pleasing to have You near!

Like a river, flowing so gently,
Is your goodness, love and mercy.
Lord, how awesome is your goodness,
There always, as onward we press.

Did you e’er think ‘bout a sheep, so lowly?
Which cannot from its enemy flee.
It can in no way itself defend,
It must have a ‘shepherd’ for to tend.

Sheep are a dirty, bedraggled lot,
Not very smart, they don’t give much thought.
Easily frightened, they run away
From the least little thing, night or day.

They wander as they graze; and get lost,
Don’t even think, their life it may cost.
Safe only, when they have a ‘shepherd’ true,
It really makes me think, of me and you!

We’re like a sheep; lowly, dirty too,
Don’t flee from trouble, not me nor you.
We’re not very smart; scare easily,
We need a ‘Shepherd’ to keep us free.

Defending ourselves cannot be done,
For our enemy, we can’t outrun!
We would not know where to find food and drink,
We need a ‘Shepherd’, or friend, we’ll sink!

We too wander; are lost and helpless,
We need a ‘Shepherd’ to keep us from darkness.
Safe only when we have a ‘Shepherd’ true,
So, like these sheep we are, me and you.

A little thorn can cause great suf’fring,
Too, a little bee, when it does sting.
Something so tiny can cause great stress,
Sin, no matter how small, is serious!

A little cloud can hide the sun, so bright,
To God, any sin, is as dark as night.
He’ll turn away, hide His holy Face,
Fellowship is gone, to Him, sin’s disgrace!

Little foxes can spoil the fruitful vines,
Like little sins, that emerge and entwine.
Troubles and strife cause churches to fall,
Most come from sins which are very small.

Little sins cause grief to the tender heart,
Causing misery; so we must depart.
Little sins burrow deep within the soul,
Causing grief and heartache; taking its toll.

Do you have a wall of sin around you?
God hides behind that wall that does ensue.
That wall can be built of pebbles, so small,
We must cast all sin away; lest we fall.

LITTLE TALKS WITH JESUS . . . Sept.1999 Message

Little talks with Jesus, makes a better day,
For He’ll guide and direct, in all the right ways.
Things just fall apart, without those little talks,
But when you talk to Him, He’ll grace your daily walk.

Little talks with Jesus, help heal a broken heart,
Soon your pain and sorrow, just seem to depart.
Your mourning time eases, tears dry up and leave,
But each time you forget Him, your soul does grieve.

Little talks with Jesus, chases away all fear,
So quickly He comes; for He is always near.
Gently and softly, in such a loving tone,
He whispers so sweetly, “You’re never alone.”

Little talks with Jesus, relieves my heavy heart,
He forgives and helps me from sin to depart.
A wondrous Saviour, paid a ransom for my soul
My Lord, and my Friend; and He has made me whole.

Little talks with Jesus, while I wait for Him to come,
He grants peace and joy, as I wait to go Home.
He’s preparing ‘mansions’, where one day I’ll be,
Then, Face to face, He’ll have daily talks with me!

Living Like Jesus

I love Jesus, because He first loved me,
His love made possible, life eternally!
We’re not worthy, yet God will justify,
When we trust and believe, and on Christ rely!

We must have faith, and on Jesus rely,
We must never doubt, and never deny!
Doubt is like dirt in your eye, curbing sight,
Faith is walking with Jesus, in His Light!

Compassion for others, we all must show,
If compassion from God, we are to know!
Treat others, as you want them to treat you,
The Golden Rule: has it been obeyed by You?

Precious Lord Jesus, was lowly and meek,
This quality of Christ, we all should seek!
Pride is something, we should cast far away,
It will lead to a fall, some future day!

God, the Father, the Lord Jesus did obey,
In Jesus’ Eyes, there was no other way!
We too must obey, God’s most Holy Word,
Or Heaven will never, be our reward!

We must be contrite, and must hate all sin,
Or the gate of Hell, is all we shall win!
Christ was holy, harmless and undefiled,
We must imitate Him, to be God’s child!

Living like Jesus, impossible to do,
Alone we’ll fail, help we need, me and you!
God is good! He gives His Spirit to aid,
None of God’s TRUE children, need be afraid!

I want to thank Him, as I look back,
I was lost; and under Satan’s attack.
Finally, I felt Christ, O so near,
He’d been there all the time, now, ‘twas clear!

Looking ahead, I must trust Him, I know,
For He is there, His love to bestow.
Trusting by faith, He will lead the way,
In darkest times, my path’s as bright as day.

I know I must serve Him, as I look around,
So many lost ones, that should be found!
I must bring the Gospel to lost souls.
For only God’s Word, can make them whole.

Looking up; I expect Him to come,
He’ll come in the clouds to take me home.
What a joyous time that day will be,

Lord, help me to live each and ev’ry day,
In a mild, gentle and compassionate way.
Let me think of the lost souls’ destiny,
When I kneel to pray, in humility.

Lord, help me in all the work that I do,
In sincerity and truth, let me serve You.
Let me consider my sisters and brothers,
When I approach You, let me think of others.

Lord, help my prideful self be crucified,
Let me repent of sins I’ve ever denied.
Let my thoughts, words and deeds always please You,
As I reflect on others, each day anew.

Lord, when my work on Earth comes to an end,
When to my Rest in Heav’n, I will ascend,
Let me cast any crowns I may have won,
At the precious Feet of Your Beloved Son.

Lord, Here I Am Again . . . November 2015 Message

Lord, here I am again, thanking Thee,
For all the great things, You do for me.
My amazement of You, ne’er does cease,
Friendship with You, is absolute peace.

From a deep well, that will ne’er run dry,
Comes endless love, on which I rely.
Abundant blessings, from You do flow,
Blessings always, when to You I go.

Sufficient is our precious Lord’s grace,
Available as we run our race.
His abounding grace is all we need,
When we as His children, His Word heed.

Compassion and mercy, on us He sheds,
When we reverence Him, there is no dread.
On all His children, God has pity,
Abundant compassion, for you and me.

When God forgives us, it is complete,
As far as the west is, from the east.
He forgives all our iniquities,
He casts them into the deepest sea.

Lord, here I am again, thanking Thee,
For all the blessings, You bestow on me.
Amazingly awesome, that is You,
Lord I praise You, for all that You do.

Psalm 103; Mic.7:18-19

Lord, I Appreciate

Lord, I appreciate Your vast love,
Which could come only, from You above.
I must pass it on, to those around,
For the more I give, the more it abounds.

Lord, I appreciate Your mercy,
You always have compassion on me.
I must pass it on, to everyone,
If I am to imitate Your dear Son.

Lord, I appreciate Your forgiveness,
Just one of the ways, You do bless.
I must pass it on, to those who wrong me,
I must forgive, ev’n my enemies.

Lord, I appreciate Your concern,
For its continuance, I do yearn.
I must pass it on, to be more like You,
My care and concern must really be true.

Lord, I appreciate Your hearing my prayer,
It’s a blessing, to know You are there.
I must pray for others, ev’ry day,
Because Jesus has shown me the way.

Lord, I appreciate Your being my Friend,
And I know You’ll be there, to my v’ry end.
Thank You for the privilege of knowing You,
Help me to be ardent and faithful to You.

Lord, I appreciate you, more each day,
You’re there to help me, in so many ways.
There in early morning’s soft dewy light,
Talking with you, starts my day out right.

Lord, I value your Presence, ever so near,
Knowing You’re with me, I’ve nothing to fear.
You’re always just a short prayer away,
Whether it be dark night, or brilliant day.

Lord, I gratefully recognize your pow’r,
It’s there, within me, no matter the hour.
I humbly admit, there’s nought I can do,
But I can do it all, with pow’r from you.

Each single day Lord, I appreciate,
Your lovingkindness, I do not rate.
Such great peace and joy, overflow my soul,
I’m grateful dear Lord, that you’re in control.

I dearly cherish, that You call me “friend”,
I recognize Lord, You’re here to my end.
Life on this Earth, is fleeting and vain,
Only with you Jesus, do I have true gain!

I greatly prize the position You give,
A child of the Father; in Heav’n I’ll live.
An heir to Almighty God in Heaven,
Lord, I appreciate, all you’ve given.

Lord, I claim it; life eternally!
A “gift” You give, absolutely free!
Lord, I claim it, thru’ Your precious Son,
Thank You for this life, already begun!

Lord, I claim it, Your peace amazing,
Money can’t buy a better blessing!
Only Christ can give this peace to me,
And what a wonder, it too is free!

Lord, I claim it, Your incredible grace,
There to help me in the troubles I face.
Loving grace, I in no way deserve,
A blessing You keep in abundant reserve!

Lord, I claim it, Your promised joy,
A deep down feeling, no one can destroy!
I rejoice in Your love, and glory to come,
And in the hope of my eternal home!

Lord, I claim it, Your marvelous rest,
My heav’nly home ‘twill be your best.
No more labor, sorrow, no more pain,

Lord, I do ask, love of my Saviour,
Faith to know eternal life is sure.
I ask for knowledge of your Holy Word,
Light to understand; this I ask, Lord.

I ask for forgiveness, when I do fall,
Patience to listen, to hear your call.
I ask for compassion for others,
A soft, tender heart, for my brothers.

I ask for love, for my fellow man,
A chance to tell of salvation’s Plan.
How Christ loved us so much, He died,
Died a sinless death; was crucified.

I ask that I may of service be,
And all I do, bring glory to thee.
I ask that you fill me with your Spirit,
That all worldly ‘things’ I’ll want to quit.

Lord, I ask all these precious blessings,
I pray that all of them you will bring.
I need all these things, as I serve you,
Without you, there’s nothing I can do!

Lord, I Know

Lord I know, You have my life mapp’d out,
Give me sufficient grace, that I don’t doubt.
My desire is that , Thy will be done Lord,
Increase my faith, as I delve deep in Thy Word.

Dear Lord, I know I could lose my sight,
But my darkest day, Your grace can make bright.
You’ll not leave or forsake, I will not fear,
Your comforting Promise, is always near.

So many things, could happen to me,
As I walk onward, to eternity.
But as long as I, keep trusting in You,
Worry is not a part, of what I do.

Increase my faith Lord, when troubles come,
All the devil’s works, are what I should shun.
Keep me Lord, on the strait and narrow path,
For I want none of, the Father’s wrath.

Lord, I want to walk, in Your gracious Light,
I want just to be, pleasing in Thy sight.
May my hope of eternal life, be high,
May I not disobey You, or deny.

I don’t know what lies ahead, on my road,
I trust Your directions, to my abode.
Many detours I may find, on my way,
May I trust always, Your will ev’ry day.

LORD, I LOVE YOU . . . February 2014 Message

Lord, I love You, beyond anything,
Honor and reverence, from within me spring.
Grateful praise is always on my lips,
For You reach out to me, each time I slip.

Lord, I love You, above anyone,
Blessed Saviour, only begotten Son!
How I praise You Lord, for who You are,
My Guiding Light, and Bright Morning Star.

Lord Jesus, I truly do love Thee,
My Redeemer, who gives victory.
Abundant praise Lord, to You is due,
Our God of Hope, who is always true,

Wondrous Saviour, love to me You’ve taught,
With Your precious Blood, my soul You bought.
It is to me, a necessity,
To praise You for blessings, granted so free.

Lord, I love You, ‘cause You first loved me,
There is none other, I love more than Thee.
I believe ev’ry word, You do say,
Such a blessing it is, each new day.

One day I will see, Your precious Face,
When I come home, to my “prepared place.”
Then I shall live with You, for e’er more,
And then I will praise You, on Heav’n’s shore!

LORD, I NEED . . .

Lord, I need vision, to understand and see,
Exactly what it is, You expect of me.
When trials and troubles come my way,
Increase my faith, that I may get thru’ the day.

Lord, I need wisdom, that I might truly know,
What it is, that You are trying to show.
When my burden, grows heavy with despair,
Let me see Your great love, and how much You care!

Lord, I need Your pow’r, to complete my task,
Let me understand; all I need do is ask!
When my body tires, and I feel so weak,
Let me know Your pow’r, is what I should seek.

Lord, of my many sins, I need forgiveness,
Just one of the many ways, that You bless!
When sin’s great load, lies heavy on my heart,
Let me feel Your mercy, and that sin depart!

Lord, I need Your patience as I live this day,
For many mistakes, I will make on the way!
When decisions come, and I make the wrong choice,
Let me feel Your compassion, that I might rejoice!

Lord, each day that I live, I need Your grace,
That I might not, the old devil embrace.
When Satan is there, with great temptation,
Let me remember, You are my Salvation!

Lord, I need oft’ hear, of Your grand Promise,
A “mansion” in Heav’n, that I will possess.
Lord, I want to live with You, eternally,
And only You, precious Jesus, hold the ‘key.’

LORD, LET ME PLEASE YOU . . . March 2014 Message

Lord, let me please you in all that I do,
Grant me faith, for without it, I can’t please you.
Lord, let me fear you, revere you alway,
For you will protect me ‘til that great day.

Lord, let me trust you, each step of the way,
If I rely on you, I shan’t go astray.
Lord, let me love you, as you do love me,
Then some sweet day I’ll see you, for eternity.

Lord, let me obey you, each hour of the day,
Willingly, freely, and loving you alway.
Lord, give me patience, my burdens to bear,
Let me remember you really do care.

Lord, give me strength, as I go thru’ the day,
With you beside me, I’ll go the whole way.
Lord, give me contentment, don’t let me complain,
For godliness with contentment is great gain.

Lord, give me peace, don’t let me stir up strife,
Grant me perfect peace, the rest of my life.
Lord, give me much joy in all that I do,
And I’ll have eternal joy, thanks be to you.

Lord, let me serve you, equip me to do so,
And keep me faithful and willing as I go.
Lord, let me please you, in all that I do,
Grant me these blessings, to help me please you.

The love of Jesus does compel me,
To love even my worst enemy.
We must love, with the love of God,
To be His children, and not frauds.

We must love with everlasting love,,
With lovingkindness from God above.
Humble, patient, and compassionate,
With a forgiving nature, not hate.

God loved us much, to call us “sons”,
But without Christ, this title can’t be won!
We must love the Lord, with all our heart,
Trust and obey; and from sin depart.

Loving God comes first in the life we live,
Also to our neighbor, love we must give.
If we believe God, and do what He says,
Eternity in Heav’n will be our stay.

Lurking in the Shadows

Our worst enemy lurks in the shadows,
And e’er so subtly, he conveys his blows.
He wants us to think, what he offers is right,
But dear one, his deals are dark as the night!

Disrespectful is Satan, to our God,
We must be careful, as our path we trod.
He hates the Father, and Jesus His Son,
And he hates all, the obedient ones.

This Wicked One, is arrogant and proud,
And with great power, Satan is endowed.
We must beware, not to fall under his spell,
For we do not want, to end up in Hell.

Deceit is a tool, that Satan does use,
And the Truth of God’s Word, he does abuse.
He transforms himself, to an angel of light,
When all the while, he is dark as the night.

As a roaring lion, Satan does walk,
And with such blasphemous words, he does talk,
We must put on the whole armor of God,
If we are to overcome, as we trod.

Submit to God, and the devil repel,
For he tries so hard, to send us to Hell.
If we stand firm, Jesus will give us pow’r,
Trust Him always, day or night, any hour!

So many things take place as we live,
We’d not make it, if grace God didn’t give.
Heartache and loneliness, pain and stress,
Sickness and death; we have much sadness.

At times we’ll try; but end in failure,
Then feel inadequate and insecure!
We misplace loyalty; trusting wrong ones,
And face rejection when we’re shunned.

Confusion, anxiety; all around!
Pressure and anguish surely abound.
Guilt, and sometimes we feel hopelessness,
Suffering and hurt, and much distress.

What e’er comes, which Satan has hurled,
Be ye not conformed to this world.
Count it all joy when temptations come,
Go; ask God for patience and wisdom.

Our temptations may be heavy and great,
But God in Heav’n, is compassionate.
The trial of your faith is worth more than gold,
Go to Him for help; He’ll never scold!

If you believe God; all that He said,
You will have nothing, ever, to dread.
His Son will help you this life to live,
AND, eternal life, to you, He’ll give!

Many walk thru’ the valley of shadows,
Suffer’ing from pain, depression and sorrows.
But God will never leave, nor forsake you,
No matter your burden, He’ll see you thru’.

Many walk in darkness, during the day,
The sun can’t penetrate their clouds of gray.
Except for the Lord, they’d stumble and fall,
But He lifts them up, when He hears their call.

Many walk thru’ scary valleys of fear,
When the Lord speaks, they just can’t seem to hear.
But His loving Presence, is close always,
He comforts and encourages, each day.

Many walk, struggling up mountains of doubt,
Faith is something we cannot do without.
Sincere heart-felt prayer, always pleases Him,
It increases faith, thus making doubt dim.

God’s children at times, walk disorderly paths,
Hoping they won’t bring on, God’s Holy wrath.
It’s senseless, to try to do things our way,
We need His wisdom and pow’r, ev’ry day.

When we turn our back, on His loving aid,
It causes pain and sorrow, and we’re afraid.
In our God we should place our complete trust,
Our faith pleases Him, our faith is a must.

Let us imitate our Saviour and Lord,
And not do anything, foolish or absurd.
To our precious Saviour we must be true,
We don’t want to hear, “I never knew you.”

Joined together, two become one,
A life long commitment, now begun!
A man and his wife; also best friends,
Love should be abundant, ne’er to end!

Care and compassion must flow so free,
Life’s problems must be borne patiently!
Trials or burdens may come each day,
But Christ’s pow’r and help are not far away!

Marriage is not a fifty-fifty deal,
It’s one hundred percent; and it’s for real!
Each must give their utmost, in all they do,
Trusting each other, and staying true!

This commitment, is symbolized by a ring,
Shows marriage should be never ending!

Most folk don’t think ‘bout eternity,
They live their life, happy go lucky.
But this life on Earth will one day end,
Will you go above? or will you descend?

Each person belongs to two fam’lies,
God plainly states; ‘tis no mystery. 1 Jn.3:10
Earthly fam’ly; and spiritual too,
We belong to two fam’lies; me and you.

Our physical fam’ly, with kinfolk dear,
Mean much to most folk; they want them near.
Fam’lies go back to Adam and Eve,
Physical fam’lies, to each other cleave.

Without Christ, to Satan we belong, Ep.2:2-3; 1 Jn.3:10; Jn.8:44
Chasing evil, with an ungodly throng. Ro.1:18; Pro.2:14-15; 14:12
This spiritual fam’ly will go to Hell, Jn.3:18,36; 8:24; Mk.8:36
And there, eternally, these will dwell. Rev.20:15; Mt.25:41, 46

The other spiritual fam’ly, is God’s, Jn.1:12-13; Ro.8:14; 1 Jn.3:10
When we no longer on wrong paths trod. Mt.7:13
Jesus can place you on this right road, Mt.7:14; Lu.1:79; Jn.10:3-4
To Heav’n above; the Father’s abode. Jn.14:2-3; Rev.21:22-23

Physical fam’ly, and spiritual too,
We belong to both these, me and you!
We’ll live forever, spiritually,
Just where will you live, eternally?

If you choose the broad road that leads to Hell,
That place of judgment, where all evil dwells.
You will have memories, for ever more,
The Bible does tell what is held in store.

Today most folk don’t study the Good Book,
They’d see for themselves, if they’d just look!
ALL who reject Christ, will end up in Hell,
And in that awful place, for e’er they’ll dwell!

Those who are there, wish they had one more try,
They look back; and for loved ones do cry.
Rejection of Jesus, they see in remorse,
If they had one more chance, they’d change their course!

The anger, pain, misery, and the thirst,
All the suffering; their minds near do burst.
Such a clear memory, of when on Earth,
But they rejected Christ, and all His worth!

If you were to ask any one of those,
There in dark Hell, where God’s judgment flows,
“Is there any thing I can do for you?”
They’d say: “Yes, tell others what Christ can do.”

Satan stands firm in accusing me,
Of all my sins and iniquities.
But I need not worry ‘bout my fate,
For in Heav’n, I have an Advocate!

Satan accuses with mighty roars,
But he’ll never keep me from Heav’n’s door.
My Advocate always takes my side,
I’m secure, what ever may betide!

The devil accuses constantly,
I’m weak, and full of iniquity.
But my Advocate by me does stand,
An ultimate blessing, O so grand!

Satan’s accusations never quit,
But the Blood of Jesus does acquit.
My Advocate the Father will hear,
With Him on my side, I’ve nought to fear!

Tho’ Satan accuses, I have won,
The Father findeth no wrong I’ve done!
My wondrous Advocate stands up for me,
Frees me from sins and iniquity!

Tho’ my disquieted foe accuses,
God won’t hear him, He simply refuses.
Satan names all my sins, one by one,

My Constant Companion

I will never leave thee, never forsake,
A Promise my Saviour, to me does make.
My Constant Companion, comfort does bring,
Comfort is just one, of many blessings!

The awesome Holy Spirit, for ev’r shall abide,
A blessing to know, that in Him I can confide.
He is always there to help, in time of need,
But we must remember, to Him we must heed.

From the Father proceeds, my Constant Companion,
And He does testify of Jesus, God’s Son.
He shall glorify Christ, and show it to you,
He speaks only the Truth of God, thru’ and thru’.

The Holy Spirit is a Witness, to the Lord,
To listen to Him, brings us great reward!
My Constant Companion, wants me to witness too,
And He also desires, the same thing for you.

My Constant Companion, wants me to obey,
To do things of the Spirit, each and ev’ry day.
We are to avoid, worldly and fleshly things,
For our obedience, shall grand blessings bring.

The Holy Spirit tells me, that I am God’s child,
Ev’n tho’ the devil maintains, that I am defil’d.
He also helps me, when I know not what to pray,
Making intercession for me, all of my days.

My Friend will be with me, till my days on Earth end,
Ever so near, and from the devil He defends.
My angels will join us, when it’s my time to leave,
A blessing indeed, there is no need to grieve!

I want to serve Him until I die,
Until I go to my ‘Home on High’.
My angels will carry me away,
To my ‘Home on High’ some precious day!

My God I must serve and also please,
Always doing His will, ne’er to cease.
Loving and trusting my God always,
Gonna go to my ‘Home on High’ some day!

Serving my great Lord makes me happy,
No need to urge; I do it freely.
My Lord is my Friend, not enemy,
My ‘Home on High’ will be victory!

It’s such a pleasure to serve my Lord,
Spreading the wondrous news from His Word.
Loving, strengthening, those who are His,
Then I’ll go to my ‘Home’, where my mansion is!

Dear Lord, let my impatient soul be still,
And be mindful as I wait for Your Will.
I cannot Thy purpose for my life see,
But I know for certain, ‘tis ruled by Thee!

The everlasting Saviour sees and hears,
Ev’ry one of our troubles; all our tears.
Let not my heart forget ‘mid all my pains,
Almighty God o’er all, forever reigns!

I need not fear death, nor the devil’s thrusts,
Christ defends God’s children, when Him we trust!
O Lord, please keep calm my impatient soul,
For I am assured You are in control!

If your life is filled with too much sadness,
Let Jesus give you peace, joy and gladness.
Let us remember e’vn if we have pain,
Almighty God o’er all, forever reigns!

My soul rests happy in its low estate,
With no hope nor wish to be esteem’d as great.
Lord, teach me to trust in Your Will Divine,
And let all honor and glory be Thine!

God, our Refuge and Strength, and always near,
Teach my impatient soul never to fear.
Let me know You are God, let me be still,
Let me always trust in Your Divine Will!

My Inheritance

My three score and ten, are now behind me,
As I keep walking, to eternity.
What lies ahead, I don’t know,
But of this I am sure, to Heaven I’ll go!

I believe what God, has said in His Book,
He gave me wisdom, to open and look.
The Father gave His Son, our sin debt to pay,
He made just ONE Plan, Jesus is that Way!

We must believe God, and accept His Son,
When we do this, salvation has begun.
What Christ did on the cross, we must believe,
He took our place, so life in Heav’n we receive!

His Sacrifice, opened the gates of Heav’n,
To those of faith, eternal life is giv’n.
Only faith in Jesus, can justify,
That makes peace with God, which He won’t deny!

Jesus said, I go and prepare a place,
I think of this oft, as I run my race.
My inheritance, is reserv’d for me,
Ne’er to fade away, in all eternity!

When I arrive, and enter thru’ a gate,
I will be so anxious, to know my fate.
My earnest plea, is to continue to serve,
My belov’d Master, whom I don’t deserve!

Of Jesus, my Saviour, I’m not worthy,
Yet God has promised, life eternally.
Nothing I have done, or ever could do,
Christ already did it! Lord, I love You!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
Scriptures for this poem: (Ps.90:10; Jn.3:16; 1 Jn.5:10-13; Jn.5:24; 6:40, 47; Rom.5:1; Tit.3:7; Jn.14:2-3).
1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (KJV)

One day my angels will carry me,
On my last, but my greatest, journey.
The moment I die, my soul they’ll bear,
Into the presence of my God who cares.

On this wondrous journey through the air,
The soul of His servant, they will bear.
My angels will carry, safe and sure,
And from Satan’s grasp, I’ll be secure!

My angels will carry me away,
To be with my Jesus, e’er alway.
I’ll be in His Light for ever more,
Where I’ll love and praise and always adore.

Into the vast expanse of God’s Home,
Into the presence of His great Throne.
On my last, but my greatest journey,
To Heaven, my angels will carry me.

My Last Journey

What e’er Your will is, that is my desire,
I’ll serve You Lord, ‘til this tired body expires.
Grant dear Lord, that Your angels watch o’er me,
That I may live my life, solely for Thee.

I must take up my cross, and follow You,
Or I’m not worthy, to be one of the few.
I must be willing, on Your road to walk,
Or I open myself to Satan, as he stalks.

Let me reach out to others, in their need,
Keep me from lusting, and keep me from greed.
Help me cast off hatred, fill me with love,
That I may be fitted, for Heav’n above.

Absent from the body, present with the Lord,
This is a Promise, I can well afford.
My inheritance, someday I will claim,
My mansion that no one, can corrupt or maim.

My guardian angels, will carry me on thru’,
The old devil’s air space, on home to You.
They will not allow him, my soul to claim,
For I have been seal’d, in the Saviour’s Name!

There are times my heart simply does break,
When I ponder o’er lov’d ones, for their sake.
They simply can’t see what lies ahead,
Many tears fall as I lay on my bed.

Some have hearts that are as hard as stone,
The Gospel is hidden, ev’n when shown.
Each time they hear, and don’t let Him in,
They’re harden’d the more, thru’ deceit of sin.

Ears of most are heavy and stopped,
They won’t listen, when the Word is dropped.
Turning their ears away from His Word,
It’s just as if they had never heard!

Then there are those who walk in the dark,
They can’t see Christ, nor Him do they hark.
This disturbs me, gives me great distress,
Why can’t they see Christ? and Him confess?

Satan blinds them; they do not believe,
They don’t understand; they can’t percieve.
If their minds were clear; I pray again,
The light of Jesus would shine on them.

I know I should pray, “All in His will,”
But with these lost ones, it’s hard to be still!
I don’t know who are His ‘chosen’ ones,
I’ll just keep praying they’ll see His Son!

The most crucial decision they’ll e’er make,
Eternal destination, is what’s at stake!
Thru’ tears of anguish, I pray on my bed,
I love them so much, but their future I dread!

Lord, if You would set this servant free,
I’d rush back to You on bended knee!
My desire is to be near You, always,
I want to serve You, all my days.

Your bond servant I will always be,
Here on Earth, and thru’ eternity!
I praise You, dear Master and Lord,
In my heart and life, You are ador’d!

The Gospel of Christ I must beautify,
And His precious Name, always glorify.
I’ll serve You with love and gratitude,
None of Your lost ones will I exclude.

I commit to You with all willingness,
I pray You will continue to bless.
With my life I’ll strive to honor You,
Let me do right and always be true.

I was bought with a price, O so high!
Master, I’m Yours, and I won’t deny!
I ask that Your Word cleanse me each day,
A vessel fit for Your use, alway.

Dear Master, I am completely Thine,
In my works, let Thy glory shine.
In quiet contentment, let me abide,
And imitate Jesus with ev’ry stride!

Lord, let me boast of You in all I do,
Keep my thoughts and words always true.
Give me wisdom and words Lord, equip me,
Master as I serve, give me victory!

MY PLANS . . . OR GOD’S PLANS? . . . Jan.2004 Message

With careful plans, my future looked bright,
My hopes and dreams blossom’d; all seem’d just right.
At the day’s end, I’d go to God in pray’r,
Lord, bless my plans, and keep me from despair.

As time went by, my plans came tumbling down,
All the smiles I had, were replaced by frowns.
I was confused; I could not comprehend,
How my hopes and plans, came to this tragic end.

Did I not ask for blessings, as I went in pray’r?
And ask that my plans be held in His care?
That my hopes and dreams, all would come true?
Yet failure set in; throwing plans askew.

Then in one night’s stillness and shadows dim,
I heard His Voice; calling me close to Him!
“Why do you make plans, and not include Me?”
“As you now see, it just brings agony.”

“Dear child, please allow Me to make your plans,
Trust Me, and leave the future, in My Hands.
The path you now trod; I’ve seen it before,
Let your faith lead you, to blessings galore.”

My pride was now gone; as I bow’d in shame,
My spirit humbled, as I thought of Your Name.
Precious Lord Jesus; my soul Thou hast bought,
Thank You dearly, for this lesson You’ve taught.

I no longer pray: “Lord, bless all my plans,”
For I know the future is in Your Hands!
Now I pray: “Thy will be done; You plan for me,”
I commit my all to You, eternally.

There, in ev’ry burden I carry,
He gives me peace and serenity.
Thru’ ev’ry trial of each new day,
My precious Guide is with me, alway!

When paths are beset with thorns galore,
My Guide seems to lead me, all the more!
And when Satan sets great tempting snares,
Jesus wisely guides; He’s always there!

Ev’ry where that I go, sin surrounds,
But the wisdom of my Guide abounds!
In wondrous Jesus I can confide,
I must always with my Lord abide!

Tho’ my heart be heavy with worldly care,
Tho’ I have pain, sorrow, or despair.
Christ Jesus is always at my side,
Showing mercy and love, as my Guide!

Tho’ skies are dark, and there seem no light,
My Guide is there, in my ev’ry plight.
Dark shadows may cross my path today,
But Jesus will guide me, all the way!

When hope seems gone; giving place to fear,
And doubt, worry; even greed appear.
All worldly cares in Him I can hide,
Jesus is there, to comfort and guide!

MY REWARD . . . Oct.2006 Message

Serving You, Lord, on that street of gold,
My reward will be, Your Face to behold.
Being with You, is enough for me,
There’s no greater reward, in eternity.

Lord, let me serve You, for ever more,
As I live on Heav’n’s eternal shore.
No greater reward, could there be for me,
Than serving my Lord, eternally.

To be with my Lord, who for me died,
Reward for me, is with Him to abide.
I could never His great love repay,
My reward, to be with Him every day.

A reward I simply do not deserve,
My soul in Heav’n, You will preserve.
Abundantly each day, You bless me here,
‘Tis such a privilege, to know You’re near.

You shall grant a reward, for staying true,
A “rest” for me has been prepared by You.
An inheritance, that will never fade away,
Joint heirs with Christ, for eternity’s days.

‘Tis God’s good pleasure, this Gift to give ,
Everlasting, is the life I shall live.
By our awesome God this is prepared,
A reward for His children, for He cares.

Is the reward of Heav’n waiting for you?
Believing God in faith, is what you do.
Only by faith can you ever succeed,
Blissful Heav’n awaits, when you take heed.

My Soul Is In His Hands

I have a Friend, who takes care of me,
And He does it each day, lovingly.
My soul is in His capable Hands,
Faith in Him, is all He demands.
n His sufficient Hands, my soul does rest,
For He sees me thru’, my toughest test.
He’s always there, He’ll never forsake,
Of His love, I will gladly partake.

His kind and gentle Hands, support me,
When I stumble, and fall to my knees.
He’s there, when I fall flat on my face,
His Hands lift me up, with amazing grace.

His comforting Hands, give me great peace,
Any doubt and worry are released.
Wondrous contentment, He gives to me,
For my soul’s in His Hands, eternally.

In His mighty Hands, my longing soul rests,
For I know He’ll give me, His v’ry best.
The City of Gold, is awaiting me,
Where God’s children shall live, eternally.

My Soul is in His Hands, He qualifies,
Heav’n is yours, if on Him you rely.
To eternal Life, Christ is the only Way,
Is your soul, in His belov’d Hands this day?

My Strength and Wisdom

My strength is in, the One Who guides me,
And He empowers, eternally!
Strength to perform, things I could not do,
All because of my Saviour, so true!

My faith lies, in the One Who cannot lie,
As long as I, will never deny.
He’s the lone One, Who can save my soul,
So living for Him, should be my goal!

True love can come, only from above,
Ne’er from this vile world, of push and shove.
Love is a fruit, of the Spirit of God,
And with these fruits, is how we should trod!

Patience is something, that we all lack,
For this we need, the Spirit at our back!
A quick temper, is not a good thing,
Trouble and heartache, is all it brings!

Pride opposes, the meekness of the Lord,
Conceit is something, we can’t afford!
So grand to God, is humility,
As we walk on, to eternity!

Being gentle and good, pleases God,
But pretending these, surely is fraud!
In all we do, we must be sincere,
For the Lord God, is what we must fear!

Each of us could use, more self-control,
For few use it, as in life we stroll!
A bad temper will oft, cause us pain,
While the temperance of Christ, is great gain!

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (KJV)
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:13-18 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15  If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (KJV)
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (KJV)

My time on Earth will soon end,
I thank Him, for calling me “friend”,
As my time to go does draw near,
I’m so grateful, I have no fear.

I have no fear of what’s to come,
For I’ll be with Christ, in His Home.
My Heavenly ‘home’ does await,
Angels will carry me, thru’ the gate.

I have no fear at all of Hell,
That’s not the place where I shall dwell.
Christ paid the price; redeemed my soul,
I’m Heaven bound; He’s in control!

God sent His Son, that I might live,
If I believe, my sins He forgives.
Believing on Christ’s wondrous Name,
Puts me in Heaven, His Word is plain!

Belief in Christ takes away fear,
E’vn tho’ my time to go is near.
For if from my body I am absent,
I know with God, I am present!

Do you have fear of where you’ll go?
Will it be Heav’n? or Hell below?
Only CHRIST can give you Heav’n’s key,
And give you peace, and set you free.

Daily troubles will not go away,
But Christ assists; He is my Stay!
Firmly He grasps my trembling hand,
With my Saviour, I’ll take my stand!

In deep, dark nights when I cannot see,
I have Christ there, walking with me!
By my trembling hand, He leads me on,
His brilliant Light, makes fear be gone!

In storms of life, with winds so wild,
Fiercely they blow, but I’m His child!
My trembling hand reaches for His pow’r,
He won’t forsake me, at any hour!

This life’s path, I know I must tread,
With Jesus near, I feel no dread!
‘Tis He that holds my trembling hand,
As I stumble thru’ this troubl’d land!

With my trembling hand, I’ll hold tight,
Securely gripping with all my might!
Christ will lead me to the Promis’d Land,
By my weak and frail, trembling hand!

MY WONDERFUL SAVIOUR . . . Aug.1996 Message

Jesus is my sunshine, glorious and bright,
He’s always there, no matter how dark the night.
He will always be there, so close by my side,
If only in Him, my Lord, I will abide.

When my feet want to slip, or when I should fear,
He’s willing to help, and my life to steer.
Without my Saviour, it’s always dark night,
But when I call on Him, it’s brilliant light.

He’ll never forsake me, He’ll always be true,
My wonderful Saviour, there to help you too.
Do you have a burden, you carry anew?
He’s patiently waiting, to bear it for you.

When I get weak, with no strength of my own,
He will never let me to stand all alone.
Always there to give power in my plight,
I’m never so far that I’m out of His sight.

What great comfort, what joy, mercy, and such peace,
And endless love for me, that will only increase.
These come in the form of my Saviour, my God,
And He’s willing to share these blessings abroad.

What a wasted life; nothing but leaves,
Not one single fruit; the Spirit grieves!
Great sins committed while conscience sleeps,
Promises made, we ne’er meant to keep.

Nothing but leaves, causes God great pain,
No fruitful sheaves of life’s ripened grain.
Sad to say, just idle words and deeds,
Life produced nought but tares and weeds.

Nothing but leaves; the past we can’t hide,
Lost and mis-spent days, taken in stride.
Sad mem’ries, as we trace our past ways,
No good fruits produced, all those days.

Nothing but leaves, as the Lord they meet,
No fruits to show, at the Judgment Seat.
At our Saviour’s feet, what shall we cast?
Nothing but leaves, nothing that lasts!

Nothing to hold me back; my sin is gone!
The precious Blood of Jesus cleansed me from all wrong.
I had none, so He gave me righteousness,
Taking far away, my “rags” of filthiness!

Nothing to hold me back, Satan is restrained,
Wondrous power of my Saviour, I have gained!
When to the Lord Jesus, I did submit,
He gave me as mine, His Holy Spirit!

Nothing to hold me back, I have great peace,
Stress and worry are gone; fears are released.
All this took place, because of Jesus’ love,
Such amazing blessings, from our God above!

Nothing to hold me back, in God’s Holy eyes,
When I accepted Christ, God did justify!
I now have access, by faith, to the Holy Land,
Because with my Saviour, I firmly stand!

I’m Heav’n bound, there’s nothing to hold me back,
Praise You Jesus, for putting me on the right track!
Blessings from You, give me such awesome joy,
Joy that no one, anywhere, can ever destroy!

Nothing to hold me back, from Heaven’s bliss,
The world’s greatest riches, cannot come close to this!
Only God’s grace can open Heaven’s gates wide,
Only by faith in Jesus, will we ever there abide!

O’er the Jordan, one day we shall go,
When we leave this Earth, so far below.
O’er the Jordan, to the Promis’d Land,
The wondrous views, shall be O’ so grand!

We’re giv’n this life on Earth, to decide,
Where in eternity, we’ll reside.
We have a free will, we must choose right,
We must walk the narrow road, of light!

Not all go to Heav’n, only a few,
Just those who trust Christ, are born anew.
Those on the broad road, bring on God’s wrath,
For they will not leave, the devil’s path.

The dust shall return, to the Earth one day,
Body and spirit, each go their own way.
The body to the grave, does submit,
The spirit goes back, to God who gave it.

I’ll walk thru’ death’s valley, with no fear,
For my watchful Shepherd, is so near.
I’ll not stay in the valley, I’ll go thru’,

For the Lord Jesus, is O’ so true.
The dark shadow of death, does not scare,
For my faithful Shepherd, is always there.
The terrors of death, He takes away,

For I know just good things, ‘fore me lay.
The terror of death, is fully gone,
I am no longer, the devil’s pawn.
The Lord Jesus gave me, victory,

I am a child of God, eternally.
I look with hope, to my home on high,
The mansion He promis’d, He won’t deny.
My inheritance, is reserve’d for me,
In God’s heavenly Home, eternally.

O’or the Jordan, one day I shall go,
When I leave this Earth, so far below.
O’er the Jordan, to the Promis’d Land,
So wonderful, and O’ so grand!

Many are the roads in the world today,
They lead to many places; in all ways.
Many destinations; our choice to make,
We will arrive, if the right road we take.

Eternity has just two special roads,
One narrow and strait; the other, so broad.
Just two destinations to eternity,
Heav’n and Hell; which will be your destiny?

The choice is yours, only you can decide,
Heaven or Hell; just where will you abide?
Your soul is eternal; it lives alway,
Which of these two roads are you on today?

God is so patient; He does love you so,
He does not want any, to Hell to go.
He is so righteous, so just and so true,
You must BELIEVE Him, or He won’t rescue.

Christ says: “Enter ye in at the strait gate,”
Stay on that narrow road, to Heav’n so great.
If you do choose that road, so smooth and broad,
You’ll end up in Hell, and never see God.

Salvation is easy, God made it so,
BELIEVE Him in faith, and to Heav’n you’ll go!

You’re already condemned; Hell you’ve won.

On the back burner, DON’T put God there,
Of His importance, please be aware.
You need His guidance, you need His pow’r,
You need Him close by, in ev’ry hour.

Have you set God aside, as you live?
Do you forget the blessings, He can give?
Without His pow’r, just where would you be?
As you travel, to eternity.

Do you backslide, or in faith firmly stand?
Do you obey, the Lord Jesus’ command?
We must remember, His gracious love,
And all the great riches, from that love.

On the back burner, God should NOT be!
Don’t restrict Him, instead set Him free!
His pow’r and wisdom, you need each day,
And his guidance, to show the right way.

Open to Him, your mind and your heart,
Stay close to Him always, don’t depart.
He need always be, close and handy,
On the back burner, God should not be!

One Day . . . July 2009 Monthly Message

One day I’ll look down at my feet,
and they will be standing on gold!
When Heav’n’s door is open’d to me,
Such great wonders, I’ll behold!

One day as I survey Heav’n’s bliss,
and gaze at my “mansion” there,
I’ll be grateful to my Saviour,
for His eternal love and care!

One day, in but a multitude,
as I wander ‘bout Heav’n’s domain,
Ten thousand years, and a million more,
For eternity, I’ll remain!

One day I’ll sit at Jesus’ Feet,
and behold His awesome glory,
And as I walk, in His vast Light,
I’ll praise His Name, eternally!

One day I’ll talk, to godly men:
Noah, Elijah, Daniel too,
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego,
These are just some of God’s faithful “few.”

Not just one day, but fore’er more,
I’ll serve my Master, ev’ry day!
So gratefully and willingly,
In the splendor of, Heav’n’s display!

One day I’ll be in my Home on high,
To live with Christ, eternally!
Privileged! I am one of the “few,”
My faith and belief gave vic’try!

Worry not, what tomorrow may bring,
Tho’ it may be a sad, troubling ‘thing.’
One with great power, by us will stand,
One day at a time, He’ll take our hand!

We may face many failures and fears,
Sorrow or loneliness may bring tears.
The One with great love will never leave,
One day at a time, comfort we receive!

On our road of life, we make mistakes,
But our great Wise One, never forsakes!
Tho’ there be many burdens to bear,
One day at a time, Jesus is there!

Sometimes we suffer, and have much pain,
And goals we’ve set, we cannot attain.
We hurt, we tire, and we are so weak,
One day at a time, strength we should seek!

We need be patient, loving and strong,
And cast out all in our life that’s wrong.
Tho’ sorrow that comes, causes much grief,
One day at a time, Christ gives relief!

Yesterday’s gone; tomorrow may not be,
Concern should be for today’s mercy!
He’s there with courage for you each hour,
One day at a time, Christ gives us pow’r!

We are never alone, day or night,
His grace is sufficient in any plight!
None of God’s children e’er walk alone,
One day at a time, the path is shown!

ONE DAY AT A TIME . . . July 2006, July 2014 Messages

No need to worry, with You so near,
For I have nothing at all to fear.
One day at a time, this I must learn,
For Your guidance, I truly must yearn.

One day at a time, and worry not,
Strength and wisdom from You must be sought.
We know not what tomorrow may bring,
But with Your Presence near, our heart can sing.

What comes next year, next month or next week,
We can’t control, but You we can seek.
Having faith in Christ, God’s only Son,
Live one day at a time, each a special one.

Things that worry us, might never be,
Much of our life’s stress, comes for worry.
One day at a time, is all we need to bear,
Trust in the Lord, He really does care.

Don’t worry ‘bout things beyond your control.
But rather say, “It is well with my soul.”
Keep your eyes on Jesus, live for today,
Let Him guide you, each step of the way.

Worry can cause us to forfeit peace,
Don’t let fellowship with Christ ever cease.
Trust Him, you can live life so fine,
When you are living one day at a time.

Living one day at a time keeps us from being consumed with worry. 1.Where can I go when I feel down? To God in prayer. 2. How can God help me? Ask and you shall receive. 3. What should I do when I feel sad? Know that Jesus is near.

God’s Mysterious Ways

On Aug. 9, 2002, God gave me a poem, “One Day At A Time.” That afternoon we received a letter from a new boy (22 years old). He told me that he’d once been a member of a prison gang, but he’d found the Lord. Now he was in Jesus’ gang, and now he would serve the Lord. Praise the Lord!
I wrote a letter back to him and enclosed “One Day At A Time.” A few days later I received another letter from him. He wanted to share something with me. He hoped it would be OK.
“My neighbor recently accepted Jesus Christ in his heart in order to receive salvation. But, as you well know, Satan doesn’t like that.”
He went on to say that the new convert had been having all kinds of dreams of temptations. He asked God how long he would have to put up with it; for months, years, the rest of his life???
“Well, you know how God speaks to us with a still, small, quiet voice; inside we hear Him. Well, God spoke to him and said just two words --- one day. One day?? he wondered, so he prayed again, and realized it meant to take it one day at a time.”
“Then the mail was brought to my cell; your letter and your beautiful poems. One was called ‘One Day At A time.’ I couldn’t help but smile. I told my neighbor, “Look! listen to this poem! As I read it to him, he screamed, “That’s awesome!”
“Now what are the chances of that happening? Just like many stories we’ve heard before. It was God’s way of confirming what the Holy Spirit told my neighbor.”

One of the Few

Do you know if you, are one of the few?   (Mat.7:14; 20:16; 22:14)
Has the Holy Spirit, made you anew?  Jn.3:3-8; 1 Cor.6:11; 2 Cor.5:17)
The Bible clearly tells us, that we can know,  (Jn.20:31; 1 Jn.5:1, 10-13)
That Heav’n will be our home, not Hell below,  (Jn.3:15-18, 36; 5:24)

The Bible tells us, whoever believes,  (Jn.1:12: 3:15-16; 6:40, 47)
Eternal life from Christ, they shall receive.  (Jn.3:14-16; 4:14; 5:24, 29; 6:27,40,47)
All those who believe, God will not condemn,  (Jn.3:18, 36; Rom.4:7-8; 8:1)
For God’s amazing grace, is upon them.  (Rom.5:2, 6-8; Eph.2:8-9; 3:16)

Through faith the few are saved, by the Lord’s grace,  (Eph.2:8-9; Rom.5:1-2)
And one wondrous day, they shall see His Face.  (Ps.17:15; 105:4; Rev.3:12; 22:4).
But strait is the gate, and narrow the way,  (Mat.7:14; Mk.8:34; Jn.15:18-20)
For just a few walk with Jesus, each day.  (Mat.22:14; Lk.13:24; 1 Pet.3:20; Rev.3:4-5)

Many are the warnings, giv’n by the Lord,   (Mat.24:4, 23; 1 Cor.6:9; 15:33; Gal.6:7)
So we must pay attention, to the Word.  (Mat.4:4; Acts 20:32; Heb.6:5; 1 Pet.2:2)
False prophets would come, being clothed as sheep,  (Mat.7:15; 24:11, 24; 2 Pet.2:1)
So all of the few, must their faith firmly keep.  (Lk.17:5; Rom.5:1; 2 Cor.12:8-10; Phil.4:13)

The few must take care, that no one deceive,  (Mat.24:4; Eph.5:6; 2 Thes.2:3; 1 Jn.3:7)
No one but Christ, must the few e’er receive.  (Jn.14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Cor.3:11)
We are to watch, for we know not the day,  (Mat.24:42; 25:13; Mk.13:37; 1 Thes.5:6)
When Christ returns, we must love Him and obey.  (2 Thes.1:8; Heb.5:9; 1 Pet.4:17)

Are you one of the few, do you really know?  (Mat.7:14; Jn.20:31; 1 Jn.5:10-13)
Or are you with the many, going below? (Mat.7;13; 25:41, 46; Rev.20:15)
You can change that road, to the path of Light,  (Jn.1:4, 9; 3:19; 8:12; 12:35, 46)
Where your days will ne’er again, be dark as night.

One day soon, our Lord, in the clouds will come,
To take all born again, believers home.
Those “dead in Christ”, shall be the first to rise,
We must be ready, so it’s no surprise.

The Lord Himself, from Heaven shall descend,
Believers here, shall to the clouds ascend.
We shall meet our dear Lord, high in the air,
Never again, will we e’ev have despair.

Jesus says, there are many mansions in Heav’n,
And one to each of God’s children, is giv’n.
Reserved in Heav’n, an inheritance true,
Undefiled and won’t fade away, for you.

Are you living, as our dear Lord requires?
Are you watching, as Christ Jesus desires?
Jesus shall come, in the blink of an eye,
Upon God’s Holy Word, you must rely.

Incorruptible bodies, we will receive,
The old devil, no longer shall deceive.
Thank You dear Jesus, for the victory,
Thank You, thank You, for life eternally!

One Day Soon

One day soon, I will have no more pain,
As I consider, eternal gain.
Your grace has been sufficient, each day,
As I claim this Promise, as I pray.

One day soon, no sorrow will there be,
No more sorrow, in eternity!
At times on Earth, we’ll have great sadness,
But in Heav’n, the Lord will always bless.

One day soon, all temptation will cease,
For in Heav’n, there shall be only peace!
For now, to escape, God makes a way,
Submit to God, Satan will run away.

One day soon, I’ll not sin any more,
For I’ll be with Jesus, on Heav’n’s shore!
A new sinless body, like my Lord,
Is what is clearly taught, in God’s Word.

One day soon, I will have perfect rest,
In Heav’n, I will be, eternally blessed!
While on Earth, God will take care of me,
And afterward, receive me to glory!

One day soon, I will walk that street of gold,
As the beauty of Heav’n, I behold!
What a wonderful day, that shall be,
That first full day, of eternity!

ONWARD . . . Aug.2002 Message

Onward, till I reach the mountain top,
Tho’ steep and rocky, I must not stop.
Onward, thru’ the sunshine and fierce storms,
The Lord, my character He does form.

Onward, thru’ the valley, dark and deep,
I must not fear, for my soul He’ll keep.
Onward, tho’ I have pain and sorrow,
The Lord leads on, to my tomorrow.

Onward, tho’ I feel I can’t go on,
My strength is renew’d by God’s own Son.
Onward, tho’ at times my faith gets weak,
The Lord will encourage when I seek.

Onward, tho’ persecution comes my way,
I must stand firm for Christ, ev’ry day.
Onward, for Jesus truly will bless,
The Lord will comfort me in my stress.

Onward, till I reach the mountain top,
No matter the trouble, I must not stop.
Onward, with blissful Heav’n as my goal,
For Christ has promis’d safety for my soul.

Lord, open my eyes, that I may see,
All the great things You do for me!
Give me strength as I go thru’ the day,
Give me light, that I might see the right way!

Let me feel Your Presence, e’er so near,
That I may know, that I need not fear!
Lord, please open my unseeing eyes,
That Your lost children, I’ll recognize!

Lord let me sense Your love, make me aware,
Of just how much, You really do care!
Open my eyes, to what others need,
Let me show mercy in words and deeds!

Open my eyes, that I’m no longer blind,
Let me be loving, let me be kind.
Let me see that the great love You show,
This love on others, I must bestow!

We’ll find many hard roads on life’s journey,
As we wind our way to eternity.
But we have a Guide, who will lead us right,
For His light will shine in the darkest night!

Upward we climb, on a steep, rocky trail,
But if our Guide directs, we cannot fail!
We’ll not slip and fall as we journey on,
But we must trust our Guide; God’s own Son!

As we travel down a rugged crevasse,
Our Saviour will lead us, and He will bless!
We must keep our faith when we’re down and out,
Always trusting our Guide, never to doubt!

We will come to many detours in life,
Satan will tempt us with troubles and strife.
But ‘round those bumpy paths, our Guide will lead,
If only His right counsel, we will heed!

A constant, smooth road, our trip will not be,
As we journey on, to eternity!
We’ll have ups and downs; sunshine and rain,
But vict’ry is ours, our Guide will sustain!

Our journey advances, day by day,
Each one, a diff’rent attitude displays.
Retreat is something, we cannot do,
We just keep plodding on, me and you.

To be young again, is wished by most,
They don’t want to leave, these earthly coasts.
But this Earth is not, our perm’nant home,
Just for a time, this world we’ll roam.

What lies ahead, as you journey on?
Will you be in the Arms, of God’s own Son?
Are you trav’ling that strait, narrow road?
The one that leads to Heaven’s abode?

As your journey advances, what’s ahead?
Sheer bliss of Heaven? or eternal dread?
Are you trav’ling, on that road so wide?
That leads to Hell, where you will abide?

You can’t go back, but you can change your path,
That small road leads, away from God’s wrath.
Your journey’s end can be, Heaven above,
And you’ll live in a mansion, made by love.

Our Journey

There is a journey, we all must take,
And many decisions, we must make.
God gives us this time on Earth, to decide,
Where in eternity, we’ll reside.

There are only two, specific roads,
As we consider, our final abode.
A broad road to Hell, a small one to Heav’n,
We have a choice,  God graciously has giv’n.

We can travel, that broad road to Hell,
Where Satan and his angels, shall dwell.
We’re Satan’s children, if him we follow,
But if we do, we’ll have much sorrow,

But we can walk, that small road to Heav’n,
If we have half, the sense we were giv’n.
Why would we choose, e’er lasting agony?
When we could have life, eternally?

Utter fools, or wise . . . which shall it be?
As we journey on, to eternity.
Ne’er ending agony, eternal bliss?
My friend, we all must think of this!

Life is a gift, God gives me and you,
To make a decision, what will you do?
Which road will you walk, as you go your way?
Please make the right decision, this day!

Mat.7:13-14; 25:41; Rev.20:15; John 14:2-3; 1 John 3:10.

While we sojourn on Earth, as God’s child,
We must do as Christ, walk meek and mild.
Can you do as Christ, and imitate Him?
This we should do, but I fall short, and sin!

I fall short each day, in the life I live,
Those around me, wrongs I do, they seive.
Seldom do they mention the good I do,
But the slightest slip, and they misconstrue.

If you confess Christ, the world will watch you,
The closer you walk, more judging they’ll do!
Sadness comes when the persecute and revile,
I’m glad I’m just here, for a little while.

Ev’n those you love, may cut you to the bone,
We’re set apart, and at times I feel so alone!
Without His help, I could not take it,
But He’s by my side, and I will not quit!

These times I feel, down as I can be,
Am I feeling sorry, for the likes of me?
At times life is hard, we can’t go alone,
But with His strength, we’re not on our own.

Don’t ever doubt Him, have faith He’s there,
He’ll not leave nor forsake, for He does care!
When those all around, so disappoint you,
Remember our Saviour, He’s always true!

Our Soul Is The Ship

Our soul is the ship, as in life we sail,
On its own power, ‘tis of no avail.
The far distant coast line, we will ne’er see,
Christ must assist, for Heaven’s destiny.

For heavenly bliss, beyond this world of sin,
Faith in the Saviour, is how we shall win.
Our ship encounters many storms in life,
For Satan causes much sorrow and strife.

To reach that far coast, on faith we must rest,
Hope in that faith, will always be a test.
Tho’ huge roaring waves, seem to engulf you,
Trust the power of Jesus, to see you thru.

This world is where we sail, it is our sea,
As our fragile ship sails, to its destiny.
To take you off course, the devil will try,
He truly wants you, Jesus to deny.

Entering the glory of Heaven above,
Is based on our faith, in the Saviour’s love.
Your ship will submerge, to the depths of Hell,
Without Christ, there forever, you shall dwell.

Is your ship controlled by Jesus today?
Do you trust the Lord, to show the right way?
Captain of your fragile ship, He must be,
Or Heaven will never be your destiny.

Our life is like a turbulent sea,
As Satan tries to control our destiny!
Only Christ can give comfort and peace,
Just Jesus gives joy that will never cease!

Life’s like a storm with vast angry waves,
Just Christ can keep us; just He can save!
Life’s troubles at times engulf us, it seems,
We must turn away from Satan’s schemes!

Our life is like a violent wind,
Only Christ that fury can rescind!
Satan tries to guide us on the wrong path,
He tries desperately to raise God’s wrath.

Life can be like someone ready to drown,
But when we grasp for Christ, Satan frowns!
We can trust Jesus to throw us a rope,
When trials of life take away our hope!

A Life Saver; a Rope to hold on to,
Christ is always there to see us thru’!
He’s always there, to the very end,
Not anywhere, is there a better Friend!

This wondrous Friend; do you truly know Him?
Life without Him can be bitter and dim!
He’s our Life Saver, now and always,
For without our Lord, we are Satan’s prey!

Path of Light, The

On the path of light, with You I’ll walk,
So You can assist, when Satan stalks.
I’ve not a chance, against Satan’s darts,
If You and I Lord, are far apart.

On the path of light, with You I’ll stay,
For I need Your Presence, ev’ry day.
Without You Lord, I would surely fall,
But with You Lord, I can do it all.

I’ll stay with You, on that lighted path,
‘Tis how I avoid, the Father’s wrath.
Darkness and evil, from me will flee,
For You dear Jesus, take care of me.

Staying with You, on the path of light,
Removes my worries, doubts and my fright.
Such a comfort, to have You so near,
Your perfect love, casts out all my fear.

On the path with You, lighted so well,
Eliminates all terror of Hell.
I will with Your help, on that path walk,
And fellowship with You, as we talk.

Keep me please, Lord, on that narrow path,
For I want none of, the Father’s wrath.
In Heaven with You, I want to dwell,
And just You Lord, the Father’s wrath can quell.

RIVER OF LIFE . . . Nov. 2003 Message

As you sail down the river of life,
You pass many dangers, toils and strife.
Where have you moor’d your vessel this day?
Have you tied to Christ? or dock’d far away?

Do you not know, your vessel is weak?
Do you not know, ‘tis Christ you should seek?
When life’s angry waves envelope you,
Grab hold of Christ, He will see you thru’!

If you moor to something, that is not strong,
You will break away, before too long.
When you tie to Christ, you are secure,
And thru’ storms of life, you will endure!

When sailing is smooth, and things go right,
Most don’t think of His wisdom and might.
But when a great storm of life explodes,
You’ll wish He were there, for that episode!

Why consider ev’n one day alone?
When Christ’s glorious Presence, you can own.
When you tie to Christ, you moor safe and sound,
Ev’n when those great storms of life abound!

You’ll ne’er be alone, when to Christ you tie,
Don’t go somewhere else, and pass Him by!
He patiently waits, throw Him your rope,
On this river of life, He’s your only hope!

Roads To Heaven

On the brink of disaster, this world stands,
This whole Universe, is in the Lord’s Hands.
Immorality, and such wickedness,
The Almighty Creator, will not bless.

As each of us walk, in the world today,
Oh! So many are trav’ling, the broad way,
They follow their master, who leads to Hell,
And there for eternity, they shall dwell.

Great, lofty mountains, and canyons so wide,
Will cross our path, as in this life we stride.
Those who are wise, will walk the narrow path,
In the light of Christ, which keeps us from God’s wrath.

We may come to a huge canyon, so deep,
Along the edge, we must cautiously creep.
We must obey the Spirit, as He guides,
Always correct directions, He’ll provides.

A wild raging river, comes into view,
How will we cross over? What shall we do?
Many are the obstacles, on our road,
As we keep on, to our heavn’ly abode.

Are you standing, at a junction this day?
Don’t let the old devil, your mind to sway.
If you’re on the broad road, get off right now,
Let the Holy Ghost, with wisdom endow.

Trials and tribulations, each day arrive,
The Spirit of Christ, your strength can revive.
From all temptations, you can walk away,
You can do all things, through Christ every day.

Many obstacles could come, across our road,
But the light of Christ, on us is bestowed.
Privileg’d we are, with Jesus on our side,
We must keep our faith, and in Him abide.

So Many

So many consider this Earth, as home,
As wildly and recklessly, they do roam.
They ne’er think, they’ll live eternally,
So they just continue on, sinfully.

So many, not once, consider our Lord,
They don’t believe the Bible, is God’s Word.
Selfish they are, “What can I do for me?”
Greedily they lust, for pleasure and money.

So many think, they will avoid God’s wrath,
As they continue, on that big, broad path.
They ne’er think, that God will cast them to Hell,
So many think, that all in Heav’n will dwell.

So many false doctrines, are taught today,
Wolves in sheep’s clothing, stalking for new prey.
People reject, and against God rebel,
They refuse to believe, He will cast them to Hell.

God cannot lie, but so many won’t believe,
Most will do nothing, His grace to receive.
Believe on Christ, eternal life you gain,
Reject Christ, you shall experience Hell’s pain.

So many reject Jesus, are you one?
Heav’n can be achieved, ONLY by God’s Son!
Jesus is the Way, He holds Heav’n’s ONE key,
Belief in Him gives life, eternally.

As I watch the storm clouds roll away,
I know Christ looks after me ev’ry day.
It seems clouds are His Promise to me,
All storms of life, with His help, flee.

Great storms of life, at times will arise,
So when they come, there should be no surprise.
Always remember, Christ will be there,
Burdens of life, He will gladly share.

When storm clouds roll away, the sun does shine,
Too our troubles flee, with His Light divine.
As the Earth is refresh’d, after a rain,
When Christ helps with our storm, peace we regain.

A close fellowship with Christ we need,
A life of obedience, we should lead.
When we love Jesus with our v’ry all,
He’s always near when we slip or fall.

Our Lord will be with us to the end,
When we love and obey, He is our Friend.
Then in all storms of life, He’s close by,
As our Assistant, He does qualify.

Traveling is easy on the road to Hell,
Satan surely sees to that, wants you there to dwell.
There are many good intentions, seen too late,
That cannot keep you from Hell’s awful gate.

Hell does not scare men away from their sin,
But ev’n knowing this, we must try, souls to win!
‘Tis a dreadful place; chains, darkness, fire, pain,
With no escape; no light, ever again!

Wide is the gate, broad is the way to Hell,
We must try to warn folk, and of Christ, tell!
We must teach ‘bout Hell, with tears in our eyes,
Tell of our Saviour, and Heav’n in the skies.

There are two roads, which one will you take?
It’s a decision, ev’ry one must make.
The choice, is completely up to you,
But the Lord really does care, what you do.

There are two roads, one narrow, one wide,
Which one will you take, as thru’ life you stride?
The narrow one, is harder to stay on,
The wide one leads you away, from God’s Son.

The strait, narrow road, to Heaven will lead,
As with Christ you walk, and to Him you heed.
That big, broad road is easier, ‘tis true,
But on that road, Satan will walk with you.

Which road will you take? there are only two,
Look carefully, from eternity’s view.
The small road takes you, where the Lord resides,
The broad road goes, to where Satan will abide.

Consider carefully, the choice you make,
It’s either Heaven, or the Fiery Lake.
Heaven will be total comfort and peace,
Hell will be agony, with no release.

Sometimes troubles come from all directions,
That’s when we should recall, God’s perfection!
He’ll never give us more that we can bear,
He’ll bless with comfort, because He cares.

We all will have troubles, that come our way,
But to His children, great love God displays.
Sufficient grace He gives, abundantly,
With Christ on our side, we’ll have victory.

Tho’ the Lord our troubles, won’t take away,
He will walk with us thru’ them, all the way.
He will encourage us, if we walk with Him,
Things will look brighter, as troubles grow dim.

Did you e’er think, Christ may be testing you?
Run from Him? or to Him? what will you do?
Satan will all your weaknesses explore,
Don’t let the devil get his foot in the door.

No matter what happens, Christ will be there,
He truly does love us, truly does care.
His awesome Presence, is always so near,
He’ll not leave or forsake us, have no fear.

Do you appreciate His love so true?

Thank Him for all blessings He brings your way.

Over and over, troubles arise,
The secret to this, is look to the skies.
Our help cometh each time from the Lord,
There is great comfort, from His Holy Word.

Satan is all smiles, when you worry,
Submit to God, and the devil will flee.
Temptations come, the Lord does permit,
But strength to endure, comes from His Spirit.

As an angel of light, Satan appears,
But the Holy Spirit is always near.
Over and over, He comes to our aid,
His Presence abides, so don’t be afraid.

Much greater is He who is in you,
Than the world’s devil, so untrue.
When we trust the Spirit, and don’t quench His pow’r,
He’ll help in a heart-beat, at any hour.

With each temptation, trouble and woe,
Great comfort and strength, o’er comes our sorrow.
Fellowship with Christ must be secure,
If troubles in life, we are to endure.

When into your life, doubt starts to creep,
Be sure that Jesus, will safely keep.
Doubt will always eat your faith away,
Don’t give in to Satan, on any day.

Between you and Christ, Satan tries to step in,
Gently he will urge you, into sin.
Take hold of His Hand, as Christ you follow,
He truly will help you, in your sorrow.

Just where in eternity, we’ll abide!

Wide is the gate, and broad is the way,
Trav’ling is easy, both night and day!
This road to Hell is smooth and carefree,
But, it leads to eternal agony!

All who reject Christ travel this path,
Their willful unbelief, kindles God’s wrath.
To the Lake of Fire, all these shall go,
For that broad road leads to Hell below!

There is another road we can choose,
With this decision, we cannot lose!
Strait is this gate, and narrow this way,
And this road leads to Heavn’s array!

This narrow road at times gets rough and steep,
But everlasting arms will hold and keep!
His amazing love will always guide,
Soothing our trials as onward we stride!

As we on this narrow road do stay,
Things seem to go better ev’ry day!
He’ll ne’er give us more than we can bear,
And in troubling times, He’s always there!

The broad OR narrow road; God lets you choose,
The narrow road, you win; the broad, you lose!

The Vast Realm of Eternity

Consider the life that is to be,
In the vast realm of eternity.
Do you think, of what the future holds?
Will you e’er walk, on that street of gold?

The river - - - clear and pure, did you know?
The water of life, from God’s Throne flows.
In the midst of the street, on each side,
Is the tree of life, that God provides.

No more curse, shall e’er again be found,
Just blessings from the Lord, will abound.
We shall at last see, His precious Face,
And first hand feel, His amazing grace.

There shall never be, any more night,
Just the brilliance, of our Saviour’s Light.
No sun or moon, will this City need,
Glory from God and the Lamb, shall proceed.

No more death, sorrow, crying or pain,
From all these things, we shall abstain.
Nothing that defiles, shall enter in,
Gone will be wickedness and sin.

Consider now, the other life to be,
In the vast realm of eternity.
Most will go in, thru’ Hell’s one lone gate,
The Lake of Fire, is the sinner’s fate.

No exit doors, just smoke and darkness,
Here, God’s Glory is gone; He won’t bless.
God’s wondrous Presence, you won’t e’er see,
You’ll be bann’d for e’er, from His mercy.

Agonizing screams, will never cease,
Christ is not there, so you’ll have no peace.
All the wonder of Heav’n, you’ll never see,
Just non-stop suff’ring, eternally.

Only two roads, to eternity,
One leads to bliss, the other - - - agony.
Your future in your own hands, you hold,
Eternal suff’ring - - - or the street of gold.

Such a privilege, beyond compare,
To know my Saviour is always there.
Whether comfort, or pain, I know He’s near,
Mid-day or dark night, I’ve nought to fear.

We are no longer the devil’s pawn.
We are forgiven, thru’ Jesus’ Blood,
I’m so grateful, for that precious Flood.

Such a privilege, God’s children possess,

The Way to Heaven

The way to Heaven is narrow, and so strait,
But it leads to eternal life, thru’ Heav’n’s gate.
‘Twill be joy forever, when our task is done,
When we pass thru’ the gate, and Heaven is won.

In Heaven, we’ll be in the Presence of God,
Such a beautiful place, and so very broad.
To be even the least, will be a great thing,
For all will be great, and to God we will sing.

To get to Heav’n, turn right ans keep going straight,
Try your very best, Jesus to imitate.
Only Christ gives the passport, to Heaven’s land,
Just trust and accept Him, take Him by the Hand.

I go the way of all the Earth,
No matter my place, or my worth.
We all must go when God does call,
No matter how big, or how small.

Death does come, to you and me,
We all must walk thru’ death’s valley.
Death’s doorway will be won by all,
Unless in the clouds comes God’s Son.

When we walk thru’ the dark shadows,
To all God’s children; Heav’n’s bestow’d.
So as we walk, we need not fear,
His loving presence is so near!

Death is NOT extermination,
It is instead, germination!
Our soul shall never, ever die,
It lives for e’er, in Hell, or Heav’n high.

You’ll go the way of all the Earth,
No matter who you are, or your worth!
You too will go when God does call,
To Heav’n high, OR to Hell you’ll fall!

God will not hide things from anyone,
He wants us all to trust His Son!
Christ is the only door the Heav’n,
BELIEVE and eternal life is giv’n!

“Transfer” . . . June 2012 Monthly Message

My horrible wicked sins, He takes away,
The Father then sends, Christ’s righteousness my way.
God forgives my sins, Christ gives me victory,
He shed His precious Blood, on the cross for me.

When we believe in Christ Jesus, we “overcome,”
Our faith will lead us, to our eternal Home.
When we believe God, and Christ Jesus receive,
Never ending life in Heaven, we achieve.

Transferring my sins, for Jesus’ righteousness,
‘Tis beyond my wildest dreams, I must confess.
Christ’s love for us, I simply can’t comprehend,
And no one, any where, is a better Friend!

We have an awesome Saviour, who loves us so,
Only Jesus can save us, from Hell below.
When we trade eternal death, for eternal life,
Jesus takes away, all our worry and strife.

My abominable sins, God takes away,
Then He sends the righteousness of Christ, my way.
When He forgives my sins, He does justify,
On my precious, beloved Saviour, I can rely.

Has Jesus transferred your sins, to righteousness?
Have you accepted Christ, so the Father will bless?
This “transfer” occurs, when you trust and believe,
Believe God, accept Christ; and this “transfer” receive!

Life on Earth is a time of transition,
We must take this into consideration’
This time is given for us to decide,
Where, in eternity, we will abide.

This is a topic most tend to neglect,
And only on today, do they reflect.
I ask that you consider, seriously,
Just where will you live for eternity?

Belief in Jesus, will place you in Heav’n,
Reject Him, my friend, and Hell will be giv’n.
Believe on Jesus; God will not condemn,
Instead, you will be, one of God’s children.

Transition from Earth, to another place,
I ask you this day, will you see His Face?
He’s not willing that any should perish,
But, His Son, you must accept, and cherish!

Your soul lives forever; the Bible tells,
In Heaven, or Hell; which place will you dwell?
Heaven is where our wondrous God abides,
Hell is where Satan’s children reside.

Transition time: have you thought about it?
Where will God send your immortal spirit?
For those who believe, blissful Heav’n awaits,
But those who reject Christ will be shown Hell’s gate.

Like tumbleweeds, rolling restlessly,
Are those without Christ, living carelessly.
Eternity never enters their mind,
With things of the world, they are entwin’d.

Like tumbleweeds, by the wind wildly blown,
Are those who refuse, to let Christ be known.
They never think of the horrors of Hell,
They never think, that it’s there they shall dwell.

Like tumbleweeds, rolling non stop along,
Are those choosing the broad road, which is wrong.
They live and lust just for worldly pleasure,
Never thinking about heav’n’ly treasure.

Like tumbleweeds, that are burn’d in a fire,
Are those who have an endless, sinful desire.
They too shall end up in great fires . . . of Hell,
And there for eternity, they shall dwell.

You need not be like a vain tumbleweed,
Turn to the Lord this day, and His Word heed.
He’ll change you my friend, and give you Heav’n’s key,
And there you shall live for eternity.

There are two groups of people today,
Just as always, from time far away.
There are those who love and fear the Lord,
And those who run from God, and Him discard.

“The children of God are manifest,”
Trusting Him always, and finding rest.
The children of Satan, too, are clear,
Those who hate; and want God no where near.

God’s children seek to do good and right,
Striving to do God’s will, day or night.
Satan’s children seek wrong, and darkness,
Loving all evil and wickedness.

A child of God has love for others,
Compassion and mercy for another.
A child of Satan loves only self,
Could care less if someone could use help.

“If the righteous scarcely be saved,”
These Words on our hearts should be engraved.
Where shall the ungodly sinner appear?
Why can’t they see, our God they should fear?

Satan’s children are God’s enemies,
They should consider eternity!
God’s children are granted life in Heav’n,
But to Satan’s children; Hell is giv’n.

You MUST believe God; all that He says,
Or you’ll be sorry, one of these days.
God made JUST ONE PLAN to save your soul,
Accept His Son; He gave Christ control!

Two masters are in the world today,
And each person, just one can obey.
You have a choice; and no one will shove,
Do you want Hell? or Heaven above?

One ‘Master’ is Christ, the Son of God,
The other is Satan; a complete fraud!
Jesus will save you, and make you free,
With Satan, it’s Hell, for eternity!

Christ is the ‘Master’ of God’s children,
Loving, pure and just; always has been.
Satan will blind your heart and your eyes,
Tempting, lying, and Christ he defies!

Following Satan will put you in Hell,
Made for the devil; and with him you’ll dwell.
If you follow Christ, you’ll live with Him,
In wondrous Heav’n, where it’s never dim.

Which of these ‘Masters’ is yours this day?
One or the other; it’s the only way!
I pray you choose the Lord of Creation,
Just He can give eternal salvation!

There are two roads to eternity,
We are free to choose --- both you and me!
We’re given this time in life, to decide,
Just where in eternity, we will abide!

Wide is the gate, and broad is the way,
Trav’ling is easy, both night and day.!
This road to Hell is smooth and carefree,
But, it leads to eternal agony!

All who reject Christ, travel this path,
Their willful unbelief, kindles God’s wrath.
To the Lake of Fire, all these shall go,
For the broad road leads to Hell below!

There is another road we can choose,
With this decision, we cannot lose!
Strait is the gate, and narrow this way,
And this road leads to Heav’n’s array!

This narrow road at times, gets rough and steep,
But everlasting Arms, will hold and keep!
His amazing love will always guide,
Soothing our trails, as onward we stride!

As we on this narrow road do stay,
Things seem to go better ev’ry day!
He’ll ne’er give us more, than we can bear,
And in troubling times, He’s always there!

The broad OR narrow road; God lets you choose,
The narrow road, you win; the broad, you lose!
You’re at the junction, you must decide,
Where in eternity, you will abide!

With Christ my Saviour, vict’ry is mine,
His great light on my path truly shines.
I praise You Lord, my Saviour and King,
You are indeed, my number one blessing.

Vict’ry is mine, as I live my life,
Jesus is near, to lessen my strife.
He helps take doubt and worry away,
He is my Sunshine, day after day.

Vict’ry is mine, Christ is on my side,
He’s given me His Spirit, to abide.
An awesome blessing, is the Spirit’s pow’r,
He guides and strengthens, hour after hour.

Vict’ry is mine, I need have no fear,
Christ’s loving Presence is always near.
He comforts and encourages me,
He truly sets my troubl’d soul free.

Vict’ry is mine, sin no longer binds,
Great joy and peace, each new day I find.
God the Father does certainly bless,
When I repent, I receive forgiveness.

Thank You Jesus, You’ve made vict’ry mine,
How Your great Light in my life does shine.
Just You can help me, be pleasing to You,
Faithfully guiding in all that I do.

Vict’ry is mine, for Heaven awaits,
You promis’d You would open those gates.
You have reserv’d a “mansion” for me,
I praise You Jesus, for my vict’ry.

Vict’ry is Mine

Thank You Jesus, for vict’ry is mine,
Let Your great Light, in my life shine!
Just You can help me walk pleasing to You,
Faithfully guiding, in all that I do!

Vict’ry is mine, for Heaven awaits,
You promised, You would open those gates.
You have reserved a “mansion” for me,
I praise You Jesus, for my vict’ry.

Vict’ry is mine, sin’s burden has fled,
Too the guilt I carried, with much dread.
Satan’s pow’r o’er me came to and end,
When I accepted my Saviour and Friend!

Vict’ry is mine, I have joy and peace,
Worry and distress, You caused to cease.
Doubt is gone, now I simply believe,
Since Jesus into my heart I received.

Vict’ry is mine, but content I can’t be,
I must tell how You, can give vict’ry.
My faith is worthless if I don’t obey,
“Go ye therefore,” I must tell and portray.

Voice of the Lord

The Voice of the Lord, Adam and Eve did hear,
As they hid themselves, in great fear.
The Voice of the Lord, we must obey,
If Almighty God is to bless us, this day.

If we disobey, the Voice of the Lord,
God shall curse you, according to His Word.
But if you return, and to His Voice heed,
Gracious love from Him shall come, with great speed.

The sacrifice God wants, is to obey His Voice,
Obey? disobey? God gives us this choice.
To disobey His Voice, brings down His wrath,
‘Tis wise indeed, to stay on the narrow path.

Upon the waters, is the Voice of the Lord,
The God of Glory, thundereth His Word.
The Voice of the Lord, is powerful indeed,
It is so sad, that so few, e’er take heed.

The Voice of the Lord, is full of majesty,
And to His own, He is sweet tranquility.
The Voice of the Lord, great cedars do break,
Yet multitudes, Almighty God forsake.

The Voice of the Lord, divides the flames of the fire,
But to His children, His Voice is their desire.
The Voice of the Lord, the wilderness shakes,
Yet millions blaspheme God, ne’er do they bless.

Obey the Voice of the Lord, amend your ways,
So it shall be well unto you, all your days.
But if you say, I will not obey God’s Voice,
My friend, you are making a terrible mistake.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,”
Instead, we let the world be our gauge.
Hurry and scurry, from morn ‘till night,
We surely do not treat our Lord right.

Be still, and know that I am God,”
Yet we run to and fro, all abroad.
With Him, we should spend quality time,
Be still and list’ to His Words so fine.

Wait on the Lord, and keep His way,”
Then He shall exalt us, one sweet day.
Patience, it seems, each one of us lack,
Instead, impatience, we seem to pack.

My soul, wait thou only upon God,”
Don’t take the path of the world, so broad.
Satan is waiting, in shadows dark,
Grinning with glee, when we miss the mark.

He gives strength when we wait on the Lord,
He’ll help us walk in right accord.
Each child of God, can access power,
Thru’ His Spirit; we need not cower.

We all should learn to “Wait on the Lord,”
And do as He states in His holy Word.
Let us KNOW He is God, and be still,
So us, with His blessings, He can fill.

When the Lord bids you to seek His Face,
Do you run to receive, His blessed grace?
Do you answer? “Lord, Thy Face I will seek,”
Do you go in pride? or lowly and meek?

Dear Lord, hide not Thy Face far from me,
Do not put Thy servant, away from Thee.
Do not forsake me, or ever leave,
That would cause Thy servant, to surely grieve.

Teach me Thy way O Lord, ev’ry day,
Let Thy brilliant Light, show me the way.
Lead me in a path, ever so plain,
Help from You dear Lord, is such great gain.

You are my Salvation, and my Light,
Without You, days are black as night.
You are my strength Lord, whom shall I fear?
It’s such a blessing, to have You near.

Wait on the Lord, He shall strengthen thy heart,
Patiently trust Him, He will not depart.

Wait on the Lord, I say, for He will bless.

Psalm 27

Walking in darkness, we all did do,
We walked with the devil, me and you.
We have a fallen nature, deep within,
Inherited from Adam; full of sin.

Before we became a child of God,
With the great Deceiver, we did trod.
In trespasses and sins, we were dead,
From God and all His goodness, we fled.

All things of darkness, we must lay aside,
If we want the Holy Spirit, to abide.
Children of Satan, do not do right,
Disobedience is wrong, in God’s sight.

Walking in the Light, is what we must do,
To have eternal life, me and you.
We must, from the old devil’s road flee,
If we e’er want Heaven, eternally.

Walking the narrow road, in Jesus’ Light,
We walk simply by faith, not by sight.
Without faith, we can ne’er please our God,
No matter how many years, on Earth we trod.

We must become a child in God’s fam’ly,
To have any hope, of life eternally.
A mansion in Heav’n, is a Promise true,
All God’s children inherit . . . is that you?

Are you walking close enough to Him?
Satan’s just waiting to step right in.
As you walk, do you carry a load?
He’ll help you bear your burden on the road.

As you are walking, don’t fall behind,
The closer to God; the more peace of mind!
In your walk with Him, don’t leave a gap,
Or Satan steps in; he ne’er does nap!

Walk as close to God as you can walk,
Or you may not hear when God does talk.
If you’re too far away, Him to hear,
You may hear Satan, for he is near.

Do you walk today, in fellowship?
God wants you near, let me give you this tip.
Satan does lurk in the shadows drear,
Walk as close as you can; to God draw near.

Satan will look for every chance,
And try with evil, you to enhance.
That’s why it’s so important to you,
To walk close to God: He’s always true!

Lord, just let me walk, close by thy side,
I want only, with you to abide.
Let me feel your hand when I do slip,
I may get weary, and tire, on my trip.

Lord, just let me walk, closer each day,,
Help me always, to trust and obey.
A closer walk, is what I do ask,
And strength and wisdom, for ev’ry task.

Lord, I know, many times I displease,
I ask for grace, that I might appease.
You are so pure, so just, and so true,
I’ll fall short, no matter what I do,

I must trust and obey, the best I can,
But it’s hard to do for sinful man.
Without my Jesus, I’d go to Hell,
But thanks be to Him, in Heav’n I’ll dwell.

You have justified me, by my faith,
Praise be to you, I’ll never see death!
I will be grateful to you forever,

To walk in love, is to do acts of kindness,
Be kind to another, for them you do bless.
Let us walk in love, let Jesus lead the way,
Imitate our Lord, and brighten someone’s day!

A word of comfort or encouragement,
Is a tried and true kindness, Heaven sent.
Let the light of Jesus, on your path shine,
Let us walk, in His great love divine.

If we walk in His love, we will be kind,
Caring for others, will be on our mind.
When we see their sorrow, pain or sadness,
We walk in love, when we show kindness.

When you ease another’s heartache, you forget your own,
Blessings surround you when kindness is shown.
No act of kindness, is ever a waste,
For being kind is, God’s grace that you taste.

Walking with God, one step at a time,
Keeps us out of this world’s filth and grime.
We must speak truth; no sin on our lips,
Only His Holy Spirit equips.

Walking with God, we must always trust,
Also to obey; this is a must.
Believe what He states, for He does care,
He’ll watch out for you, no matter where.

Enoch, Noah, and Josiah too,
Walked with God; just to name a few.
Each one of us, need to be like these,
We don’t want to be God’s enemies.

Fear the Lord! be afraid ‘fore His Name,
Love and revere Him, each day the same.
Walking with God is divine fellowship,
Daily, consistent; a constant trip.

Walking with God, don’t wander away,
No matter what, with Him, you should stay.
Always with Him, in love, do abide,
He’s there to lead, direct, and to guide.

Thru’ long tedious days, you feel alone,
You stumble and fall, and how you do groan.
Why did He leave? when you need Him so?
YOU left! NOT HE! He wants you to know.

He will never leave, never forsake,
This great promise, He will not retake.
Walking with God, He’ll stay by your side,
The choice is yours; wander, or abide!

As You look down on me, from Heav’n above,
Dear Lord, warm my heart, with Thy awesome love.
Remove all the evil thoughts, from my mind,
Replace them with good thoughts, loving and kind.

Since Your Spirit, for e’er in me abides,
Be I close to home or gone, far and wide.
Always with me, I need not have any fear,
He ne’er leaves or forsakes, He’s always near!

As You look down on me, from Heav’n on High,
Lord, light my path, for my soul You did justify.
Let me forsake the broad road, and walk with You,
On that narrow path, walked just by a few.

Light my path Lord, with Thy amazing grace,
Without Thy Spirit’s help, I would lose my race.
Living for You Lord Jesus, is hard to do,
No Lord! It is impossible without You!

Wasted Time

Time I've wasted, is a huge regret,
And lustful sin, I cannot forget.
When I think about, things I have done,
My heart weeps, and I just want to run.

There's a high wall, between God and me,
When with His will, I refuse to agree.
I run and run, with no place to hide,
Help me dear Lord, with You to abide.

Then reality hit me, in the face,
My sins against God, were a disgrace.
All past memories, rush thru' my head,
Pain I feel is clear, by tears I shed.

To receive God's mercy, we must obey,
My friend, there is simply, no other way.
Trust AND obey, is what we must do,
To receive that wondrous grace, from You.

Dear one, have you faced reality?
Have you e'er thought 'bout eternity?
Have you regretted, sins you have done?
Does your heart weep, and you just want to run?

Does past wickedness, rush to your head?
Is pain revealed, by tears that you shed?
God's mercy is there, for you and me,
And His Gift of salvation, is FREE!

Turn to Christ this day, 'fore it's too late,
For He has the only key, to Heav'n's Gate.
Just two roads lead, to eternity,
Heaven OR Hell, which one will it be?

Watchmen on the Wall

Watchmen on the wall, is what we must be,
Exposing false teachers, and heresies.
When danger lurks, the trumpet we must blow,
We must strive to keep souls, from Hell below.

We must in obedience, serve the Lord,
We must get wisdom, from His Holy Word.
We must serve our Master, willingly,
As we look forward, to eternity.

So many vile, false teachers, do abound,
These evil wolves can’t keep you, safe and sound.
Falsely they teach, damnable heresies,
That will only lead, to Hell’s agonies.

‘Tis abominable, what these wolves spout,
These wolves are leading souls, down the wrong route.
Where are the watchmen?? There’s desperate need!
For these hungry wolves, on trusting souls feed.

There are FAR too few, watchmen on the wall,
Not exposing danger, no trumpet calls!
Watchmen are needed, it’s a necessity,
To e’er realize, Heav’n’s prosperity.

If you’re a Christian, a TRUE child of God,
You must stand up and expose, these wolves’ fraud!
We are stewards, of God’s manifold grace,
We must obey God, and do it with haste!

Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. (KJV) . . . Just as Ezekiel was a “watchman” over Israel, so too are we today, “watchmen” over the church. Beware my friend, it is a serious, sobering job!
1 Peter 4:10
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (KJV)

We as Christians are the ‘light’ of the world,
The Gospel, by US, must be unfurled.
Speak with your mouth, and attest as you live,
Walk close to the Lord, and much love, do give!

We WERE darkness, but NOW, ‘light’ in the Lord,
Walk as children of light, in willing accord.
Cast out all evil, wickedness, and sin,
And try by Word or deed, lost souls to win.

When we let our lights shine, we will please God,
The world is perverse, and crooked, as we trod.
Always live righteous in God’s holy eyes,
Remember; ONLY Jesus, justifies!

Our lights must shine, in this world of darkness.
Ev’n tho’ we may never see our progress.
One shall plant the Word, another water,
But only God grants increase and confers.

We as Christians must trust God and obey,
First, love God, then our brothers ev’ry day.
DO the Word, not just hear it and forget,
If you do, your life will be greatly blest.

There’s no way we can see beyond the door,
And we do not know what God holds in store.
We can only humbly kneel and pray,
For pow’r and wisdom to serve Him each day.

The devil does tempt us relentlessly,
With doubt, pain, sorrow and misery.
We never know what lies up ahead,
It may be good things, but it may be dread.

Tho’ we climb a mountain, and see a long way,
We never know what’s in store for that day.
But when we in pray’r, bow our humble heart,
There’s truly not a better way to start.

Tho’ we may not know where our path may lead,
God promises grace that we might succeed.
By faith we can pierce the unknown haze,
By claiming God’s Promise, and giving Him praise.

One sweet day we will reach the glorious heights,
And claim our home in that City so bright.
For now we must trust God implicitly,
Until our time for eternal serenity.

Fifty, sixty or seventy years,
We do not know, our time may be near.
The length of our life, we are not told,
Our time gets closer, as days unfold.

Forty years, but maybe just thirty,
We know not, then comes eternity.
There are only two places to go,
One will be bliss, the other sorrow.

Ten years, ten minutes, we don’t know,
When the Lord will say: “It’s time to go.”
Life is so brief, ‘tis no mystery,
Each day gets closer to eternity.

We don’t know if we have years, days or hours,
It depends on God’s wisdom and power.
It’s His decision just when He’ll say
“Life here is over for you this day.”

Are you ready for this life to end?
Where is your eternal home, my friend?
Will you with Jesus, in Heaven dwell?
Or will you be with Satan in Hell?

God gives us time on Earth to decide,
Just where in eternity we’ll abide.
Narrow road, broad road, which did you choose?
Narrow road you win, broad road you lose.

We must keep our life both clean and strong,
To keep us from deceit, and our heart from wrong.
We must shut the door on hate and pride,
And to love and kindness, open wide!

We must accept what comes, cheerfully,
And turn life’s conflicts, to harmony.
We must help that one with a heavy load,
And lead lost sheep, to the right road.

We must know what we have, is not our own,
Ev’rything, ev’rywhere, is Gods’ alone!
We must take care of all that’s around,
Ev’rything that in our path is found.

We must know that we are never alone,
And trust that the best road will be shown.
We must ask that just good, from our life flow,
If peace with God, we will ever know.

We must love God with our heart and soul,
And let Jesus take complete control.
We must one another, truly love,
And have compassion, like God above.

We all must grow wiser, with each day,
Love, mercy and kindness, we must display!
We must speak only words that are kind,
And keep pure our hearts, our thoughts and minds.

What Do People Think Of?

What do people think of, as thru' this life they walk?
What percentage of them, of eternity talk?
Most think of self: me, me, me; only me,
In Church they eat up, 'Word-Faith' prosperity!

People don't like to face up, to the fact they'll die,
Some falsely believe in 'reincarnation,' and on it rely.
Friend, that is simply, Satan's gross trickery,
STOP!!! Go to Christ! He can give you, life eternally!

Whether you believe it or not, your soul lives on,
God gives us this life on Earth, to choose God's Son!
God loves us, wants us one day to live in His Home,
But we must believe and accept Christ, and to Him, come!

In this life, we have only two roads, for our soul,
Wisdom keeps us on the small one, giving Christ control.
But, most are foolish, following Satan's broad path,
STAY OFF! It brings only God's furious and Holy wrath!

Wisdom friend, please don't travel the devil's road,
He'll grin ear to ear, for he wants you in Hell's abode.
Think ahead, not just of this day, make a wise choice,
So that some day your eternal soul, will rejoice!

Jesus is the Truth, the Life and ONLY Way,
That your soul will ever, reach Heaven one day!
Don't be a fool, and travel the devil's gaudy road,
For it leads only, to Hell's agonizing abode!

I passed by a funeral home today,
Another lone soul had passed away.
I couldn’t help wonder, as I went by,
Did he accept Christ? or Him deny?

What did he do with Jesus in life?
Did he ‘go it alone,’ in all his strife?
Or did he believe, and trust in Him?
And let Him help out, in this life so grim.

When you first heard of Christ, what did you do?
Did you believe the Gospel, e’er so true?
Or did you turn away, and Him reject?
This only One, whom your soul could protect.

What do you do with Jesus, as you live?
This Special One, whom your sins can forgive,
Plus abundant blessings He holds in store,
This One who holds the ‘key’ to Heav’n’s door.

With our Saviour and King; what will you do?
It’s a personal thing, I tell you true.
He can grant either Heav’n, OR Hell below,
He can give eternal bliss, OR sorrow.

It all depends on what you do with Him,
Accept Him and He’ll remove all your sins.
Reject Him, and in your sins you’ll die,
And for the ‘pits of Hell,’ you’ll qualify.

He stands outside your heart’s door, patiently,
Whispering so softly: “Open to Me.”
It’s the biggest decision you’ll e’er make,
Rejecting Him is an eternal mistake.

WHAT DO YOU SEE?? . . . Dec.2008 Message

When you picture Jesus in your mind,
Just what sort of image do you find?
A Baby, Miracle Man or Teacher?
Saviour, Lord, Friend, Judge, or King grandeur?

Do you in a manger, a Baby find?
With His mother near; loving and kind?
He was a Baby; but is no more!
He’s our loving GOD, whom we should adore!

Do you in your mind, a Great Teacher see?
For He taught with superiority!
Or do you picture, a Miracle Man?
Healing multitudes, as ‘twas God’s plan!

Saviour on the Cross, who did redeem?
Lord, whom we should love, and highly esteem?
Or do you in your mind, see a Friend?
Who never forsakes; is there to the end?

As the Mighty Judge, most will not see,
But, He will judge ALL; both you and me!
At the Judgment Seat, and Great White Throne,
At ONE of these you’ll stand; all alone!

Do you in your mind, see an awesome King?
Sovereign Ruler --- over ev’ry thing!
Our wondrous God, in true justice will reign,
For ever, His righteousness, will remain!

Our precious Jesus, we can always see,
But, our heart must be right; that’s the ‘key’!
We can see Him, in many diff’rent ways,
What we feel in our heart; our mind portrays!

When I go to Jesus, and humbly ask,
He will always help, in my greatest task.
He wants me to cast, all my pride away,
And be meek and lowly, like Him, each day.

When I go to Jesus, and wisdom request,
It is granted, and I am truly blest.
He wants me to open His Book each day,
Paying attention, to what it has to say.

I go to Jesus, when I’m down and blue,
He has never once failed, to see me thru’.
He leads me and guides me, in all right ways,
Never once will He e’er, lead me astray.

I go to Jesus, when my faith declines,
And when He increases it, it does shine.
My faith is the substance, of things hoped for,
Like the unseen things, on Heav’n’s glorious shore.

I go to Jesus, when I need pardon,
Forgiveness is mine, thru’ God’s only Son.
He cleanses me, from all unrighteousness,
One of the multiple ways, He does bless.

I go to Jesus, when I need directions,
As for incorrect roads, He chooses none.
He sees to it, that I walk the narrow path,
Keeping me away, from God’s holy wrath.

When I went to Jesus, many years ago,
He promised to save me, from Hell below.
Eternal life in Heav’n, is what He gave me,
A mansion in Heav’n’s, eternal beauty.

Worry won’t make problems go away,
It just brings stress to burden your day.
Worry puts nagging doubts in your mind,
Peace you long for is then hard to find.

We are told “Be anxious for nothing,”
To obey these words, brings a blessing.
We should always trust in His Holy Name,
Doubting Christ, will always bring shame.

We should place our worries in Christ’s Hands,
And on His Promises, firmly stand.
He promises all our burdens to share,
This wondrous Saviour, who truly cares.

Worry leads to stress, stress leads to doubt,
Ask Jesus to cast the devil out.
Worry can clearly consume your thoughts,
You don’t want in this trap to be caught.

Worry reduces your faith and trust,
These to our Lord, is simply a must.
Worry will never do any good,
‘Tis something that should be understood.

Those who depend on God, He won’t neglect,
His e’er watchful eye will always protect.
One day at a time, for He will aid,
We need not worry or be afraid.
