We do not have news letters; we have what we call Monthly Messages. It is simply a poem that the Lord had so graciously given me, and my comment on that particular poem.

January 2024 Monthly Message

To Thy Cross I Flee

With my guilty heart, to Thy cross I flee,
My soul does know, just You, can restore me.
Many temptations, do burden my heart,
Just You, Thy powerful aid, can impart!
 
Dear Lord, let me hear, Thy pardoning Voice,
For my troubled soul, wants to rejoice!
Why should my weary soul, complain or fear?
For Thy lovingkindness, is always near!

I pray for forgiveness, thru’ Thy dear Son,
For disobedience, that I have done.
I must trust in faith, and I must obey,
Heav’n’s Gates can’t be entered, another way!

How long shall I feel, struggles in my breast?
May my stubborn will bow, so I can rest.
The sovereign grace of our God, knows no end,
So on His Promises, we can depend!

Precious Jesus, saves us from eternal Hell,
For He states, one day with Him we shall dwell!
On our Solid Rock, we can rest secure,
For His Words are perfectly, true and sure!

God’s grace shall complete, what His grace began,
Saving us from sin and sorrow, is His Plan.
Great works of love and wisdom, He undertakes,
Eternal mercy, He will not forsake!

Does your guilty heart, to Jesus’ cross flee?
Does your soul know, that just He, can restore thee?
Do many temptations, burden your heart?
His powerful aid, is ready to impart!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) . . . If you want to go where the Father is, you must go through Jesus! Are you allowing the LORD to guide you to the bliss of Heaven? If not, WHY not? Scriptures for above poem: Heb.3:12; Mat.26:41; Ps.119:1-8; Jam.1:12; Gal.5:17;  Ps.103:17; Heb.7:25; John 14:2-3; 1 Pet.1:3-5; John 3:15-16; Ps.138:8.  God loves you. Trust Him to help you! He will!

At this time of the year, everyone is making New Year’s resolutions, most of which few ever carry out. We must look at the entire year, not just New Year’s Day! We must NOT “go with the flow” as more and more people do. We must, as believers in Jesus Christ, walk the road where He walks and talk the talk that He talks. Let this be our year-long resolution.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (KJV) The “way that seems right” may offer many options and require few sacrifices, but we should always take a second look, even if “everybody’s doing it.” Easy choices will most often ask you to change your life-style, and they require no moral restraints. Do NOT be attracted by shortcuts that seem right but end in death. Do NOT go with the flow.

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV) To go with the flow will lead to destruction (Hell). Walking with Jesus on the strait and narrow path leads to eternal life. Which do you want?

James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. (KJV) People who live for God often wonder why they still have temptations. Does God tempt them? NO! God tests people. He does not tempt them by trying to seduce them into sin. God allows Satan to tempt people to help them grow in their dependence on Christ. We can resist the temptation to sin, if we have strength from God. Let us choose to obey His Word, NOT go with the flow.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? [10] I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. (KJV) God will judge everyone according to their deeds. Do you go with the flow? or do you walk with Jesus on the narrow path? On Judgment Day, NOTHING shall be hidden from the Judge’s eyes!

Words of Wisdom
Life is a gift from God; how you live it is your gift to God.
God’s will and intention is that we love people and use things. Most people reverse this.
God’s Presence WITH us, is His greatest present TO us.
