AS THE WIND
Colorful leaves it twirls in the air,
They flutter about, both here and there.
In any direction, it can blow,
But we can’t see it come, neither go!
It leans heavily on grass and trees,
Movement from it, is all that we see!
Great pow’r it has, making humans fear,
It roars in the storms, as it comes near!
As the wind, is the Spirit of God,
Present everywhere, this world abroad.
We can never detour, nor control,
When the Holy Spirit has a goal!
His works, as the wind, we can’t understand,
And of both, God has complete command!
God’s Spirit can touch the sinful soul,
Making the most wicked person whole!
Christ’s Spirit can touch your heart today,
Be receptive to Him, don’t turn away!
God’s Spirit, as the wind, is wondrous,
And we, thru’ Him, are victorious!

A STILL SMALL VOICE
A still, small Voice warns me when I sin,
Helps me resist, when trouble begins.
Tho’ Satan tempts with troubles galore,
A still, small Voice, my hopes do restore!
A still, small Voice tells which roads to take,
When I obey, I make no mistake.
In life’s hard journey, I need a Guide,
This Voice advises, with Christ to abide!
A still, small Voice helps me run my race,
And tells me one day I’ll see His Face!
It tells me that I should persevere,
For my wondrous Lord is always near!
A still, small Voice impresses upon me,
Just thru’ Christ can I have victory.
For the Blood of Jesus justifies,
And that still, small Voice never lies!
A still, small Voice tells me I’m Heav’n bound,
This Voice to me, is the sweetest sound!
With Jesus, I’ll spend eternity,
And this will be bliss and ecstasy!

CHRIST
IS THE VINE
We are mere
branches, Christ is the ‘Vine’,
He is the One who truly does shine.
We’ll bear no fruit, lest in Him we
abide,
We must let Him our heart to guide.
We can do nothing
without our Lord,
‘Tis stated o’er and o’er
in His Word!
We can bear not one fruit on our own,
All we can do is stumble and groan.
We must abide in the ‘Vine’ alway,
He’ll then supply our needs, night and day!
But if from that ‘Vine’ so true, we break off,
That crafty old devil will laugh and scoff.

Scripture for above poem: (Jn.15)
FILLED
When Christ
came into my heart; something chang’d,
Ev’ry detail of my life, was re-arrang’d.
Before, there was turmoil, hatred and sadness,
Now, there’s serenity, love and gladness!
I am fill’d
with the promis’d Holy Ghost,
Fill’d with love and pow’r, to
the uttermost.
He takes away strife, and troubles that grieve,
And yet one more promise: He’ll never
leave!
Our God of
Hope, has fill’d me with great joy,
A wondrous feeling, I truly enjoy.
This happens only thru’ the Holy Ghost,
His pow’r is there for us, at no cost!
My soul is
fill’d with remarkable peace,
And because of Christ, it will never cease.
Because of my faith; God show’d me His
grace,
One day soon, I’ll certainly see His
Face!
I’ll
be fill’d with His sweet peace forever,
No one --- anywhere, this peace can sever.
I can go on, and bear life’s discord
and care,
For I know Christ’s Presence is always
there!
I thank You for this gift, gladly knowing,
That You will fill me, to overflowing,
With peace, joy, contentment and love,
‘Til that precious day when You call me above!

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
Lord, how I thank you, as this morn I wake,
For all your blessings, for granted I take.
They’re all invisible, but all so real,
For each one I thank you, as I do kneel.
Love, joy and peace, can come only from you,
Without Christ in my heart, what would I do?
Patience, gentleness, and goodness in me,
By your Spirit, that never used to be!
Faith that started all these wonders my way,
As a tiny seed; did bring a new day.
Humility and self control; fruits so good,
Let all these o’er flow me, like a great flood.

Scripture verses for above poem: (Gal.5:22-23)
FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
Love is an attribute that, we need,
If to God’s Word, we must pay heed.
Joy is something, way deep down inside,
When we allow His Spirit to guide.
Peace is truly a tremendous thing,
You know you’re God’s friend, such a blessing.
Without Christ in your heart, peace will flee,
‘Tis so clear, you are God’s enemy.
Patience is something we should possess,
Our anger and temper, we should suppress.
As God’s children, we must always be kind,
Kindness should be deep-set in our mind.
Goodness is a trait, reaching out to aid,
Helping those who are lonely or afraid.
Faith is trusting God, with no doubt at all,
Knowing He’ll answer, ev’ry time you call.
Gentleness is such a wondrous trait,
Christ’s characteristic, e’er so great.
If we let the Spirit, work within,
He will assist, and keep us from sin.
Our lives and ourselves, we must control,
If we are to have a victorious soul.
The Spirit will help us, day by day,
Leading, guiding and showing the right way.
God gives His Holy Spirit to assist,
We must never quench Him, nor resist.
Precious fruits in us, He will produce,
Wondrous traits of Christ, He will induce.

Gal.5:22-23; Eph.5:9; 1 Cor.13; Ps.4:7; Ps.16:11; Ps.34:14; Pro. 13:3; Pr.16:32; Pr.25:28; Luke 2:10-11; John 14:27; Jn.6:24; Rom.3:22,25; Ro.4:5; Ro.5:1-11; Ro.6:12; Ro.8:6,24-25; Ro.14:17; Mat.17:20; Mk.11:22; Acts 26:18; 2 Pet.1:5-9; Jam.1:3,19; Jam.3:2; 2 Cor.6:6; Col.3:12.
FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (KJV)
The fruits of the Spirit, our awesome God describe,
These wondrous blessings, for us He does prescribe.
The fruits of the Spirit, are indeed a blessing,
Our awesome God gives to His children, such grand things!
LOVE
The love of God, is beyond comprehension,
Sending His Son, to save us, from perdition.
Since God loves us so, we must love others too,
For then one sweet day, we shall see Heaven’s view.
JOY
Joy is something, so much more than happiness,
In His presence is the fullness of joy, and gladness.
Although we see Him not, yet we still do believe,
And by believing, joy unspeakable, we receive.
PEACE
When we become God’s children, Jesus gives us peace,
From worry, strife and Satan’s snares, we have release.
Our heart is no longer troubled, and we have no fear,
For the Presence of our awesome Saviour, is near.
PATIENCE
If we hope for Heaven, then we patiently wait,
And one sweet day, we shall walk thru’ the pearly gate.
If we patiently endure, His Promise we will obtain,
Our inheritance in Heaven, one day we shall gain.
GENTLENESS
He gathers the lambs, carries them so tenderly,
Those in His flock, He leads and guides very gently.
God’s wisdom is full of mercy, gentle and pure,
And the pasture of His flock, is safe and secure.
GOODNESS
Great is His goodness, for all those who fear Him,
He lights the pathway, so it is never dim.
His goodness and mercy shall follow me, all my days,
And one day I shall see, Heaven’s glorious display.
FAITH
It is the will of God, that we have faith and believe,
We must believe what He says, and His Son receive.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God,
We must trust Him, as the narrow road we trod.
MEEKNESS, BEING HUMBLE
The meek shall live and be satisfied, ev’ry day,
The meek He will guide, and these will He teach His way.
These shall inherit the earth, and in peace delight,
For they humble themselves, before His great light.
TEMPERANCE, SELF CONTROL
Let us be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath,
As we control our self, and stay on the narrow path.
Do not let sin reign within you, or its lusts obey,
Jesus is there to help you, each and ev’ry day.
The fruits of the Spirit, are in His Hands alone,
He produces them, and in us they are grown.
To quench the Holy Spirit, is wrong indeed,
Always allow Him to work, and to Him, pay heed!

Fruits of the Spirit
Lord let Your Spirit, increase love in me,
As I walk onward, to eternity.
Increase joy within me, with each new day,
As I walk with You, on the narrow way!
Thank You for the peace, that You did increase,
How I thank You, for the fruit of your peace!
When I submit to You, Satan will flee,
What an amazing feeling, within me!
Increase my patience Lord, which I do need,
Grant me stamina, that I will pay heed.
I must never, my patience ever lose,
Spiritual fruits, I should treasure and use!
Being gentle and good, are traits of God,
Don’t let Satan deceive you, with his fraud.
Being wild and wicked, is his way to go,
But that will just get you, to Hell below!
Increase my faith, some before have well said,
Living without faith, is a state of dread.
But faith in the Lord, gives such wondrous peace,
And from the devil, such great release!
Meekness, is a tremendous quality,
The Lord Jesus had, great humility.
We all should be wise, and consider this,
For pride and arrogance, lead you amiss!
Last, but surely not least, is self-control,
Flying off the handle, will take its toll.
Lord, let Your Spirit, have pow’r o’er my will,
And deep within me, temperance instill!

GOD’S GIFTS
God gives us many gifts; all so free,
As we press on to eternity.
Accept or reject them; we can choose,
God’s favor is there, to win or lose.
The first Gift God gives, is Christ, His Son,
For Christ is, eternal salvation.
Christ will open to us Heav’n’s door,
Where a reserv’d mansion, waits in store.
This Gift God gives; life eternally,
God offers to all, both you and me.
The choice, God leaves completely to us,
There is no worldly gift, so precious!
Forgiveness too, is an awesome gift,
The burden of sin, I feel God lift!
An amazing God, with gifts so rare,
He gives us these gifts, because He cares!
God gives us His Spirit, who abides,
And in Him, we can always confide.
“Tis a Gift of God Himself, within,
Helping us to live a life without sin.
Remarkable peace deep in my heart,
A gift God gives, that will not depart.
Wondrous peace, such a comfort to me,
A grand feeling of serenity.
Great joy seems to overflow my soul,
Ev’n great sorrow cannot take it’s toll.
This gift comes only from God alone,
And ‘tis thru’ His love that it is known.
God’s gifts so precious, God’s gifts so free,
But God leaves the choice up to you and me.
ALL God’s gifts start with Gift Number One,
We must accept Christ, God’s well belov’d Son!

Should I be lonely? or for friendship sigh?
There is no reason, for Jesus will supply!

For He is within us; a home He holds so dear!
So when you feel friendless, and so lonely,
Consider that you are indeed, God’s Sanctuary!
To think of Jesus by your side, is only partly true,
For His Holy Spirit, abides graciously in you!
When you feel friendless, forlorn and weary,
Remember that you really are -- God’s Sanctuary!
Oh! the joy that His wondrous Presence gives,
Ev’ry single moment, as on this Earth you live!

The Heart of Jesus, has a bountiful supply!

His Awesome Pow’r
His awesome pow’r, made the universe,
And this pow’r to us, He can disperse.
Love and obey Him, and He will bless,
He’ll always love you more, never less.
So abundant, is His awesome pow’r,
There for us, ev’n in our darkest hour.
He can give us strength, when we are weak,
Let us never forget, His help to seek.
His awesome pow’r, will always be there,
Always available, everywhere!
It doesn’t matter, where you might be,
For His awesome pow’r, makes your weakness flee.
His awesome pow’r, is a blessing true,
There to assist us, in all that we do.
We should not bear, our burden alone,
Just ask, and His Pow’r will be clearly shown.
When e’er we go to the Lord and ask,
He’ll grant His awesome pow’r, for our task
Always trust Him, never doubt our Lord,
Believe ALL things, God states in His Word.

HIS AWESOME PRESENCE
No matter the trouble, He’ll not forsake,
Of His awesome Presence, you can partake.
For He does promise, “I will never leave,”
All we need do, is accept and believe.
It’s such a privilege, to have Him so near,
His Presence chases away, all our fear.
Every doubt we have, seems to fly away,
Blessings He bestows, make a better day.
Tho’ His awesome Presence, I cannot see,
I know He’s always, watching over me.
Great peace and contentment, do flood my soul,
For I know my Saviour, is in control.
Such a feeling of warmth, I feel deep inside,
For the Spirit of my Lord, does abide.
He leads and guides, in the way I should go,
Doing His best, all right roads to show.
His awesome Presence, in my life does shine,
I praise God above, that Jesus is mine.
I thank You Lord, for all you do for me,
Both here in this life, and in eternity.

HOLY SPIRIT’S JOB, THE
God’s Spirit shall not always strive with man,
But today it seems God’s forgotten this plan.
But I’m here to tell you, God’s in control,
Of all the world, including your soul!
God grew impatient back in Noah’s day,
With mankind’s unending wicked display.
God set a time limit; hoping they’d change,
They would not listen, from God were estranged.
Noah and his family, secure in the ark,
Were the only ones safe; for God they did hark.
God’s Spirit did strive with the lost back then,
But they rejected Him, o’er and o’er again!
The day finally came, that God shut the door,
His patience had ended; He could take no more.
Ev’ry soul was destroyed, the world wide,
All except those in the ark; all safe inside!
God will never condemn to Hell, any soul,
Until His Spirit has fulfilled His roll.
Striving, convicting, wooing each single one,
Trying gently, but firmly, that heart to be won!
God’s patience will one day run out for you,
His Spirit will leave; His rejection through!
As long as you feel that tugging at your heart,
It’s not too late for you, from sin to depart!
Noah’s ark of old, represents Jesus today,
Are you like the many, God destroyed that day?
You can be like Noah; all secure inside,
Just believe God; and let Christ be your guide!

I NEED YOU
Heavenly Father, I humbly ask,
That You be with me in ev’ry task.
Lord, I need Your pow’r, for I’m so weak,
Strength from You Lord, I must always seek.
Most gracious Father, You I beseech,
That Your grace always be in my reach.
Lord, I need You and Your vast mercy,
Your forgiveness, makes me feel so free.
Awesome Father of great hope and love,
Sitting on that majestic Throne above.
Lord, I need Your love each and ev’ry day,
Love from You Lord, won’t ever go away.
My precious Father, pure, true and just,
In You I will always place my trust.
Lord, I need Your Truth and purity,
To be able to live, righteously.
Father in Heav’n, You bestow lavishly,
Blessings flow from You, abundantly.
Lord, I need You now, and in days to come,
‘Till that joyous day, You call me Home.
Wondrous Father, tho’ I make mistakes,
I claim Your Promise to never forsake.
Lord, I need You, each hour of the day,
Don’t let me be the old devil’s prey.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [KJV]
2 John 1:2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us,
and shall be with us for ever. [KJV]
LET
YOUR SPIRIT GUIDE
In all the
right paths, let your Spirit guide,
So that with you, dear Lord, I can abide.
Keep my eyes on you, for Satan is strong,
Let your Spirit guide, and keep me from wrong.
The devil is
strong in the world today,
He’ll not cease trying to lead me astray.
I need God’s armor, full and complete,
For with my strength alone, I can’t
compete!
Let your Spirit
guide on roads rough and steep,
Don’t let me fall into canyons so deep.
Keep this fragile ‘sheep’ from
going astray,
Let your Spirit guide, or I’ll surely
sway.
Let your Spirit
show me right paths to take,
Without His guidance, I’ll make vast
mistakes.
I want loving friendship, Lord, with you,
Just with your Spirit, can I this pursue.
You have granted eternal life in Heav’n,
This ‘gift’ tops the list of many you’ve giv’n.
You’ve giv’n your Spirit to abide with me,
To guide and comfort for eternity.

LUKE 16:23 . . . July 2003 Message
Luke16:23 And in Hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth
Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [KJV]
Luke’s Gospel; sixteen, verse twenty three,
These words say so much, to you and me.
So few words, yet God’s children they bless,
Yet too, we see, the world’s wickedness.
These words show, there are two roads ahead,
One leads to bliss and comfort; one to dread.
You are on one of those roads today,
One leads to Glory Land; one Hell’s way.
The words tell us, we’ll live eternally,
In Heaven, OR in Hell, verily.
When we leave Earth, we’ll go anoth’r place,
Hell’s torment, or the Light of God’s Face!
The words reveal, you’ll have mem’ries there,
Hell will be torment; beyond compare.
You’ll wish you could live life o’er again,
But there’s no such luck; you are condemn’d.
The words say those in Hell; see Heav’n far off,
But they refused His ‘Gift’, God they did scoff!
There’s no turning back; once you are there,
You rejected Jesus; you did not care!
You’ll be in torment, for ever more,
Without Christ, you’ll not live on Heav’n’s shore.
No mercy; just torment, and agony,
For you cast off God’s grace, eternally!
If you are reading these words today,
It’s still not too late, God to obey.
Accept His ONE Plan, to save your soul,
Jesus will grant Heaven, as your goal!

PRIVILEGED
There’s
turmoil in the world; all around,
But Christ gives me peace that does abound!
Joy, for most people, is far away,
Yet I rejoice, each and ev’ry day!
Contentment,
for most, is but a dream,
But with Christ near, it’s a steady
stream!
The world is fill’d with wickedness,
But true Christians reveal Christ’s
kindness!
A child of
God is not of this world,
Character traits of Christ, are unfurl’d!
We must always be patient and meek,
And His guidance, we should always seek!
We should copy
Christ with faithfulness,
When we persevere, our God will bless!
We must love, most important of all,
Being gentle and good, let us stand tall!
We are privileged,
as God’s children,
Each day He blesses us; o’er again!
All those without Christ, receive God’s
wrath,
Traveling with Satan, on Hell’s broad
path!
Let’s
pray for the “fruit” of self-control,
And commit to Christ, body and soul!
Just those “in Christ” can access
God’s Throne,
For just the Blood of Christ, can atone!
You can be
privileged, this very day,
If the Gospel of Christ, you obey!
Receive Christ, and believe on His Name,
And become God’s child; make it your
aim!
A tremendous privilege is the abiding Presence of the Holy Spirit.

SUBMIT
TO HIM
Submit to His
grace, and He will save you,
Christ Jesus is trustworthy, and so true.
We must have faith, believe and accept,
Then from eternal Hell, Christ will protect.
Submit to His
pow’r, and be kept by it,
By the constant abiding of His Spirit.
The pow’r of Jesus, can lead, teach
and guide,
What an awesome feeling, as He resides.
Submit to Jesus,
and walk in His light,
He will sustain, and keep you in His might.
Ev’n in the darkest night, Jesus can
lead,
But by His wise guidance, we must always heed.
Submit to the
Saviour, and Him obey,
Trust and obedience, is a must each day.
If we don’t obey, we simply don’t
love,
And it’s doubtful we’ll see, Heav’n
above.
Submit to Jesus! Don't ever quench His Spirit.

THE
SPIRIT OF CHRIST
The Spirit
of Christ is wholly divine,
Pure, sacred and holy; for e’er to shine!
The Spirit of Christ is deity,
But all too many from Him do flee.
The Spirit
of Christ is fearfully wise,
With knowledge He’s willing to devise.
The Spirit of Christ is righteousness,
Always trying to take us from darkness.
The Spirit
of Christ is tender and warm,
Not wanting to do anyone harm.
The Spirit of Christ is quiet and calm,
With never a misgiving or qualm.
The Spirit
of Christ is gentle and mild,
He’s never savage, cruel, or wild.
The Spirit of Christ will persevere,
He’ll not leave nor forsake; have no
fear!
The Spirit
of Christ is compassionate,
He’ll help in our trouble, what e’er
our fate.
The Spirit of Christ is lowly and meek,
All our heavy burdens, He does seek.
The Spirit
of Christ is so patient,
Wanting all the lost souls to repent.
The Spirit of Christ wants to forgive,
So that in Heav’n, with Him, we can
live.
The Spirit of Christ wants to liberate,
Our sin-filled life, He so does hate.
The Spirit of Christ is purely love,
Sent by the Father from Heav’n above.

WALKING CLOSER
Lord, just let me walk, close by thy side,
I want only, with you to abide.
Let me feel your hand when I do slip,
I may get weary, and tire, on my trip.
Lord, just let me walk, closer each day,,
Help me always, to trust and obey.
A closer walk, is what I do ask,
And strength and wisdom, for ev’ry task.
Lord, I know, many times I displease,
I ask for grace, that I might appease.
You are so pure, so just, and so true,
I’ll fall short, no matter what I do,
I must trust and obey, the best I can,
But it’s hard to do for sinful man.
Without my Jesus, I’d go to Hell,
But thanks be to Him, in Heav'n I’ll dwell.
You have justified me, by my faith,
Praise be to you, I’ll never see death!
I will be grateful to you forever,
Nothing from me, your love can sever.
Lord, let me walk, close by thy side,
Let your Holy Spirit, instruct and guide.
I know I’ll stumble, oft’ ev’ry day,
Please forgive me, and help me obey.

WALKING WITH GOD
Walking with God, one step at a time,
Keeps us out of this world’s filth and grime.
We must speak truth; no sin on our lips,
Only His Holy Spirit equips.
Walking with God, we must always trust,
Also to obey; this is a must.
Believe what He states, for He does care,
He’ll watch out for you, no matter where.
Enoch, Noah, and Josiah too,
Walked with God; just to name a few.
Each one of us, need to be like these,
We don’t want to be God’s enemies.
Fear the Lord! be afraid ‘fore His Name,
Love and revere Him, each day the same.
Walking with God is divine fellowship,
Daily, consistent; a constant trip.
Walking with God, don’t wander away,
No matter what, with Him, you should stay.
Always with Him, in love, do abide,
He’s there to lead, direct, and to guide.
Thru’ long tedious days, you feel alone,
You stumble and fall, and how you do groan.
Why did He leave? when you need Him so?
YOU left! NOT HE! He wants you to know.
He will never leave, never forsake,
This great promise, He will not retake.
Walking with God, He’ll stay by your side,
The choice is yours; wander, or abide!
