POEMS . . . W-a

WAIT ON THE LORD

“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,”
Instead, we let the world be our gauge.
Hurry and scurry, from morn ‘till night,
We surely do not treat our Lord right.

“Be still, and know that I am God,”
Yet we run to and fro, all abroad.
With Him, we should spend quality time,
Be still and list’ to His Words so fine.

“Wait on the Lord, and keep His way,”
Then He shall exalt us, one sweet day.
Patience, it seems, each one of us lack,
Instead, impatience, we seem to pack.

“My soul, wait thou only upon God,”
Don’t take the path of the world, so broad.
Satan is waiting, in shadows dark,
Grinning with glee, when we miss the mark.

He gives strength when we wait on the Lord,
He’ll help us walk in right accord.
Each child of God, can access power,
Thru’ His Spirit; we need not cower.

We all should learn to “Wait on the Lord,”
And do as He states in His holy Word.
Let us KNOW He is God, and be still,
So us, with His blessings, He can fill.

WAIT ON THE LORD

When the Lord bids you to seek His Face,
Do you run to receive, His blessed grace?
Do you answer? “Lord, Thy Face I will seek,”
Do you go in pride? or lowly and meek?

Dear Lord, hide not Thy Face far from me,
Do not put Thy servant, away from Thee.
Do not forsake me, or ever leave,
That would cause Thy servant, to surely grieve.

Teach me Thy way O Lord, ev’ry day,
Let Thy brilliant Light, show me the way.
Lead me in a path, ever so plain,
Help from You dear Lord, is such great gain.

You are my Salvation, and my Light,
Without You, days are black as night.
You are my strength Lord, whom shall I fear?
It’s such a blessing, to have You near.

Wait on the Lord, He shall strengthen thy heart,
Patiently trust Him, He will not depart.
Believe on the Lord’s awesome goodness,
Wait on the Lord, I say, for He will bless.

Psalm 27

Walking

Walking in darkness, we all did do,
We walked with the devil, me and you.
We have a fallen nature, deep within,
Inherited from Adam; full of sin.

Before we became a child of God,
With the great Deceiver, we did trod.
In trespasses and sins, we were dead,
From God and all His goodness, we fled.

All things of darkness, we must lay aside,
If we want the Holy Spirit, to abide.
Children of Satan, do not do right,
Disobedience is wrong, in God’s sight.

Walking in the Light, is what we must do,
To have eternal life, me and you.
We must, from the old devil’s road flee,
If we e’er want Heaven, eternally.

Walking the narrow road, in Jesus’ Light,
We walk simply by faith, not by sight.
Without faith, we can ne’er please our God,
No matter how many years, on Earth we trod.

We must become a child in God’s fam’ly,
To have any hope, of life eternally.
A mansion in Heav’n, is a Promise true,
All God’s children inherit . . . is that you?

WALKING BY FAITH

I walk not by my sight, but by faith,
Lord, I trust You with my ev’ry breath!
Why would anything cause me to fear?
When Your awesome Presence, is so near!

You breathed the breath of life into me,
Then You promised, life eternally!
You chose me “in Christ,” ‘fore the world began,
And NO one can thwart or change Your plan!

I trust my all to You, as I walk,
For You will help me, in deeds and talk!
Faith leads me on, as I live for Thee,
O glorious God, of eternity!

‘Fore You created the world, me You did choose,
You knew just how, this servant You’d use!
‘Tis hard to understand, yet I believe,
And faith for my walk, I receive!

Lord, I praise and thank You ev’ry day,
You give pow’r and wisdom, for life’s way!
I thank You for the faith, You give me,
As I walk my way, to eternity!

WALKING CLOSE ENOUGH . . . Are You?

Are you walking close enough to Him?
Satan’s just waiting to step right in.
As you walk, do you carry a load?
He’ll help you bear your burden on the road.

As you are walking, don’t fall behind,
The closer to God; the more peace of mind!
In your walk with Him, don’t leave a gap,
Or Satan steps in; he ne’er does nap!

Walk as close to God as you can walk,
Or you may not hear when God does talk.
If you’re too far away, Him to hear,
You may hear Satan, for he is near.

Do you walk today, in fellowship?
God wants you near, let me give you this tip.
Satan does lurk in the shadows drear,
Walk as close as you can; to God draw near.

Satan will look for every chance,
And try with evil, you to enhance.
That’s why it’s so important to you,
To walk close to God: He’s always true!

WALKING CLOSER

Lord, just let me walk, close by thy side,
I want only, with you to abide.
Let me feel your hand when I do slip,
I may get weary, and tire, on my trip.

Lord, just let me walk, closer each day,,
Help me always, to trust and obey.
A closer walk, is what I do ask,
And strength and wisdom, for ev’ry task.

Lord, I know, many times I displease,
I ask for grace, that I might appease.
You are so pure, so just, and so true,
I’ll fall short, no matter what I do,

I must trust and obey, the best I can,
But it’s hard to do for sinful man.
Without my Jesus, I’d go to Hell,
But thanks be to Him, in Heav’n I’ll dwell.

You have justified me, by my faith,
Praise be to you, I’ll never see death!
I will be grateful to you forever,
Nothing from me, your love can sever.

Lord, let me walk, close by thy side,
Let your Holy Spirit, instruct and guide.
I know I’ll stumble, oft’ ev’ry day,
Please forgive me, and help me obey.

WALKING IN LOVE

To walk in love, is to do acts of kindness,
Be kind to another, for them you do bless.
Let us walk in love, let Jesus lead the way,
Imitate our Lord, and brighten someone’s day!

A word of comfort or encouragement,
Is a tried and true kindness, Heaven sent.
Let the light of Jesus, on your path shine,
Let us walk, in His great love divine.

If we walk in His love, we will be kind,
Caring for others, will be on our mind.
When we see their sorrow, pain or sadness,
We walk in love, when we show kindness.

When you ease another’s heartache, you forget your own,
Blessings surround you when kindness is shown.
No act of kindness, is ever a waste,
For being kind is, God’s grace that you taste.

WALKING WITH GOD

Walking with God, one step at a time,
Keeps us out of this world’s filth and grime.
We must speak truth; no sin on our lips,
Only His Holy Spirit equips.

Walking with God, we must always trust,
Also to obey; this is a must.
Believe what He states, for He does care,
He’ll watch out for you, no matter where.

Enoch, Noah, and Josiah too,
Walked with God; just to name a few.
Each one of us, need to be like these,
We don’t want to be God’s enemies.

Fear the Lord! be afraid ‘fore His Name,
Love and revere Him, each day the same.
Walking with God is divine fellowship,
Daily, consistent; a constant trip.

Walking with God, don’t wander away,
No matter what, with Him, you should stay.
Always with Him, in love, do abide,
He’s there to lead, direct, and to guide.

Thru’ long tedious days, you feel alone,
You stumble and fall, and how you do groan.
Why did He leave? when you need Him so?
YOU left! NOT HE! He wants you to know.

He will never leave, never forsake,
This great promise, He will not retake.
Walking with God, He’ll stay by your side,
The choice is yours; wander, or abide!

Warm My Heart, Light My Path

As You look down on me, from Heav’n above,
Dear Lord, warm my heart, with Thy awesome love.
Remove all the evil thoughts, from my mind,
Replace them with good thoughts, loving and kind.

Since Your Spirit, for e’er in me abides,
Be I close to home or gone, far and wide.
Always with me, I need not have any fear,
He ne’er leaves or forsakes, He’s always near!

As You look down on me, from Heav’n on High,
Lord, light my path, for my soul You did justify.
Let me forsake the broad road, and walk with You,
On that narrow path, walked just by a few.

Light my path Lord, with Thy amazing grace,
Without Thy Spirit’s help, I would lose my race.
Living for You Lord Jesus, is hard to do,
No Lord! It is impossible without You!

Wasted Time

Time I've wasted, is a huge regret,
And lustful sin, I cannot forget.
When I think about, things I have done,
My heart weeps, and I just want to run.

There's a high wall, between God and me,
When with His will, I refuse to agree.
I run and run, with no place to hide,
Help me dear Lord, with You to abide.

Then reality hit me, in the face,
My sins against God, were a disgrace.
All past memories, rush thru' my head,
Pain I feel is clear, by tears I shed.

To receive God's mercy, we must obey,
My friend, there is simply, no other way.
Trust AND obey, is what we must do,
To receive that wondrous grace, from You.

Dear one, have you faced reality?
Have you e'er thought 'bout eternity?
Have you regretted, sins you have done?
Does your heart weep, and you just want to run?

Does past wickedness, rush to your head?
Is pain revealed, by tears that you shed?
God's mercy is there, for you and me,
And His Gift of salvation, is FREE!

Turn to Christ this day, 'fore it's too late,
For He has the only key, to Heav'n's Gate.
Just two roads lead, to eternity,
Heaven OR Hell, which one will it be?

Watchmen On The Wall

Watchmen on the wall, is what we must be,
Exposing false teachers, and heresies.
When danger lurks, the trumpet we must blow,
We must strive to keep souls, from Hell below.

We must in obedience, serve the Lord,
We must get wisdom, from His Holy Word.
We must serve our Master, willingly,
As we look forward, to eternity.

So many vile, false teachers, do abound,
These evil wolves can’t keep you, safe and sound.
Falsely they teach, damnable heresies,
That will only lead, to Hell’s agonies.

‘Tis abominable, what these wolves spout,
These wolves are leading souls, down the wrong route.
Where are the watchmen?? There’s desperate need!
For these hungry wolves, on trusting souls feed.

There are FAR too few, watchmen on the wall,
Not exposing danger, no trumpet calls!
Watchmen are needed, it’s a necessity,
To e’er realize, Heav’n’s prosperity.

If you’re a Christian, a TRUE child of God,
You must stand up and expose, these wolves’ fraud!
We are stewards, of God’s manifold grace,
We must obey God, and do it with haste!

WE AS CHRISTIANS

We as Christians are the ‘light’ of the world,
The Gospel, by US, must be unfurled.
Speak with your mouth, and attest as you live,
Walk close to the Lord, and much love, do give!

We WERE darkness, but NOW, ‘light’ in the Lord,
Walk as children of light, in willing accord.
Cast out all evil, wickedness, and sin,
And try by Word or deed, lost souls to win.

When we let our lights shine, we will please God,
The world is perverse, and crooked, as we trod.
Always live righteous in God’s holy eyes,
Remember; ONLY Jesus, justifies!

Our lights must shine, in this world of darkness.
Ev’n tho’ we may never see our progress.
One shall plant the Word, another water,
But only God grants increase and confers.

We as Christians must trust God and obey,
First, love God, then our brothers ev’ry day.
DO the Word, not just hear it and forget,
If you do, your life will be greatly blest.

WE CAN’T SEE AHEAD

There’s no way we can see beyond the door,
And we do not know what God holds in store.
We can only humbly kneel and pray,
For pow’r and wisdom to serve Him each day.

The devil does tempt us relentlessly,
With doubt, pain, sorrow and misery.
We never know what lies up ahead,
It may be good things, but it may be dread.

Tho’ we climb a mountain, and see a long way,
We never know what’s in store for that day.
But when we in pray’r, bow our humble heart,
There’s truly not a better way to start.

Tho’ we may not know where our path may lead,
God promises grace that we might succeed.
By faith we can pierce the unknown haze,
By claiming God’s Promise, and giving Him praise.

One sweet day we will reach the glorious heights,
And claim our home in that City so bright.
For now we must trust God implicitly,
Until our time for eternal serenity.

WE KNOW NOT

Fifty, sixty or seventy years,
We do not know, our time may be near.
The length of our life, we are not told,
Our time gets closer, as days unfold.

Forty years, but maybe just thirty,
We know not, then comes eternity.
There are only two places to go,
One will be bliss, the other sorrow.

Ten years, ten minutes, we don’t know,
When the Lord will say: “It’s time to go.”
Life is so brief, ‘tis no mystery,
Each day gets closer to eternity.

We don’t know if we have years, days or hours,
It depends on God’s wisdom and power.
It’s His decision just when He’ll say
“Life here is over for you this day.”

Are you ready for this life to end?
Where is your eternal home, my friend?
Will you with Jesus, in Heaven dwell?
Or will you be with Satan in Hell?

God gives us time on Earth to decide,
Just where in eternity we’ll abide.
Narrow road, broad road, which did you choose?
Narrow road you win, broad road you lose.

WE MUST

We must keep our life both clean and strong,
To keep us from deceit, and our heart from wrong.
We must shut the door on hate and pride,
And to love and kindness, open wide!

We must accept what comes, cheerfully,
And turn life’s conflicts, to harmony.
We must help that one with a heavy load,
And lead lost sheep, to the right road.

We must know what we have, is not our own,
Ev’rything, ev’rywhere, is Gods’ alone!
We must take care of all that’s around,
Ev’rything that in our path is found.

We must know that we are never alone,
And trust that the best road will be shown.
We must ask that just good, from our life flow,
If peace with God, we will ever know.

We must love God with our heart and soul,
And let Jesus take complete control.
We must one another, truly love,
And have compassion, like God above.

We all must grow wiser, with each day,
Love, mercy and kindness, we must display!
We must speak only words that are kind,
And keep pure our hearts, our thoughts and minds.

WE MUST ACCEPT CHRIST

We must accept Christ as our Saviour,
He is the highest; He is grandeur.
There is none other to save our soul,
Almighty God gave Christ full control!

We must accept Christ as our Substitute,
For all our evil sins He did impute.
He died on that Cross that we might live,
In Heav’n’s glory, eternal life He gives!

We must accept Christ as Mediator,
Our fellowship with God, He does restore.
He pleads our case; He’s a Priest so high,
We must come thru’ Him; Christ we can’t deny!

We must accept Christ as our Teacher,
He and His Word, we must not sever.
We must learn of Him, so lowly and meek,
We’ll find our soul’s rest, if Him we seek!

We must accept Christ as our Model,
If in His Heav’nly Home, we want to dwell.
We must imitate Him, in ev’ry way,
Whether we’re hard at work, or at play!

We must accept Christ as our great Lord,
He is Mighty God, as told in His Word.
He died; rose, and lives for ever more,
Some day we’ll meet Him on Heav’n’s shore!

WE MUST BELIEVE

We must believe as true, God’s most Holy Word,
If we expect in Heaven, to get a reward.
We must believe, everything God says is true,
Our awesome God does not lie, to me and you!

We must believe, that Jesus’ Name is Holy,
Or you’re with those who use His Name, in blasphemy!
We must believe, that Jesus is the Son of God,
Or you’re with Satan, and his damnable fraud!

We must believe, that the Lord Jesus IS God,
Many do not believe this, the whole world abroad.
False religions teach, damnable heresies,
That will lead you, to Hell’s eternal agony.

We must believe, Jesus paid our sin’s penalty,
He made Heaven possible, for you and me.
Jesus’ wondrous love, I cannot comprehend,
Besides being God, He is an awesome Friend!

The commandments of men, you must not believe,
Be wise and only, the Truth of our God receive.
The devil and his children, will tell you lies,
For the Sacrifice of Jesus, they do deny!

You must not listen, to damnable heresies,
They will lead you, to Hell’s fire for eternity.
Please believe God, and all that He has to say,
He tells us clearly, Jesus is the only Way!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)  Acts 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)
Only JESUS can save your soul! Please believe this!

*****Why should we believe the Bible?
We should believe the Bible because it is God speaking to us. Some people demand proofs that the Bible is the Word of God, while others recognize it is Truth as coming from God (Mat.7:13-15). TRUE Christians know there is something very special about Jesus and His work, and when they read the Bible they feel its power and truth, while others simply refuse to accept Him and the Bible. As for me, I know the Bible is true because of the many prophecies. When I read where something is declared to happen, and then read where that event happened, to the letter, I know the Bible is true. We should believe the Bible because it is true, and it is from the One and Only True God (2 Tim.3:16; Heb.4:12; 2 Pet.1:19-21). Cults teach another Jesus and another gospel (2 Cor.11:4). Their Jesus CANNOT save you from Hell. Some cults teach that their Jesus is a brother of the devil, begotten through sexual intercourse between god and his goddess wife who both came from another planet. That is NOT the Jesus of the Bible. Others teach that their Jesus is Michael the Archangel who became a man. That is NOT the Jesus of the Bible. Still others crucify their Jesus’ over and over again. That is NOT the Jesus of the Bible. The TRUE JESUS died only ONCE to pay OUR sin’s penalty (Heb.7:27; 9:12, 28; 10:10; 1 Pet. 3:18), and God the Father accepted His Sacrifice for us as ‘Paid in full’. Neither can any commandments of men, the false doctrines of false religions made up by men, save your soul, only the Gospel of Christ Jesus can keep you from Hell! (Mat.15:9; Mk.7:7; Tit.1:14).
*****Jesus IS God!
Jesus is prayed to: (Jn.14:14; Acts 7:55-60; 1 Cor. 1:2).
Jesus is worshipped: (Mat.2:1-2, 11; 14:33; 28:8-9; Heb.1:6-8).
Jesus cleanses from us sin: (1 Jn.1:9; 1 Jn.2:1-2).
Jesus forgives sins: (Mat.9:1-7; Lk.5:20; 7:48).
*****Who IS the TRUE JESUS?
The Bible tells us there is only ONE God in all existence (Isa.43:10; 44:6, 8; 45:5), that being our awesome Triune God: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:26; Mat.3:16-17; Lk.3:22; Jn.1:31-34; 1 Cor.12:4-6; 2 Cor.13:14; Eph.2:18; 1 Jn.5:7. Rev.1:4-6).
The TRUE JESUS, is the Jesus that is taught in Holy Word of God. He is both God and Man! (Isa.7:14; 9:6; Mat.1:23; Lk.1:35; Jn.1:1, 14; Col.2:9; Heb.1:8). He is the Second Person of the Trinity. The TRUE JESUS has two natures, He is BOTH God and Man! Believing in Jesus means you believe that He is God and Man. And too, we must believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which clearly tell us of His death, burial and resurrection (1 Cor.15:1-4).
*****What is TRUE belief?
We must believe in the TRUE JESUS, a
nd part of that belief is to have faith in what He did on the cross for us. We must believe Jesus paid the full penalty of our sins (Jn.19:30). We must believe that He gave His life as a Perfect Sacrifice for us, and that His Father accepted that Sacrifice as full and complete payment of our sins when we believe (Jn.3:15-17)! The devil and his children (1 Jn.3:10), admit that God does exist (Jam.2:19), but they do NOT have a trusting faith in God, that gives them eternal live in Heaven, whereas a TRUE child of God does!
*****Salvation (eternal life in Heaven) is only by faith in Christ Jesus.
Many churches falsely teach that to be saved from your sins, you must believe in God, but also do good works. This is false because we are justified (declared not guilty before God) by faith in Jesus (Rom.3:24, 28; 5:1), NOT by any works we do (Jn.3:36; 5:24; Rom.4:1-5; 6:23; Eph.2:8-9). False teachers deny the Lord Jesus, and their end is swift destruction (2 Thes.1:8-9; Rev.20:15). Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (KJV) The Word of God has MUCH to say about false teachers and false doctrines. BEWARE my friend. We today are invaded by these smooth talking wolves bringing nice sounding words that will lead you to HELL!

WE MUST NOT DENY HIM

In the early morn’, as the rooster crows,
I think of Peter and his sorrow.
He was so sure he’d not turn away,
But he denied Christ, fore’ the break of day.

“I know Him not” were words Peter said,
These four little words, caused him dread.
Not once, not twice, but three times he’d deny,
Our precious Lord, whom they would crucify.

“If I have to, I will die with You,”
Peter’s heartfelt words, he thought were true.
But those very words he spoke that night,
Early the next morn’ would cause him fright.

When the cock crow’d, Peter was mortified,
What had he done? Christ he’d denied!
Great tears welled up, as he sobbed in grief,
It would be a while, ‘fore he found relief!

Peter did sob, uncontrollably,
His heart and soul were in agony.
He was so sorry for what he’d done,
He denied Christ Jesus, God’s own Son!

There are many ways, we too can deny,
Our precious Saviour, who was crucified.
Are you afraid of what friends might say?
If you stood for Jesus this very day?

We can’t deny Christ’s death, and be forgiv’n,
We can’t deny He’s alive, and access Heav’n.
We can’t deny He’s God and He’s Man,
We can’t deny God’s one and only Plan.

We need to stand close to Jesus’ side,
This awesome Christ, who was crucified.
We need to follow Him ev’ry day,
For He loves us and guides, in all right ways.

1 John 5:10-12

WE NEED

We need to be, with our Saviour more,
To worship, to praise, and to adore.
This is true life, to be with our Lord,
Trusting, obeying; we’re in accord.

We need to hear our sweet Jesus more,
Only He can guide you thru’ Heav’n’s door.
We need to listen, as our Lord speaks,
His love and great mercy we should seek.

We need to love our great Saviour more,
Just He can give what Heav’n has in store.
To love Him, we must love our brethren,
His Word clearly states, His Word is plain.

We need to serve our wondrous Master more,
And show reverence for our Creator.
Serving Him is the least we can do,
Consider what He’s done, for me and you.

Be penitent, and fall at His Feet,
Only Jesus can make us complete.
We must acknowledge our unworthiness,
We need Christ, for God to truly bless.

We need to obey Christ Jesus more,
Then God, on us, His blessings will pour.
Keep His commandments, if Him we love,
Only then are we fitted for above.

WE NEED NOT WALK ALONE

Troubling times are encountered in life,
We’ll experience sorrow, pain and strife.
But we need not walk life’s path alone,
Give Christ your burden; He’ll make it His own.

Many fierce storms in life we’ll face,
Haunting mem’ries, we can’t seem to erase.
But we need not walk life’s road afraid,
Jesus is near; He’ll comfort and aid.

Tho’ pain and sorrow may come our way,
We can look forward to a better day.
Worry need not hinder life’s path as we walk,
Christ is near, with His comforting talk.

If we’re God’s child, we don’t walk alone,
Jesus will guide, and make right roads known.
No matter how severe our agony,
Christ’s Presence is there, for you and me.

All your troubles may ne’er go away,
But His Presence makes a much better day.
We can do all things with His great pow’r,
He’ll help carry our load, ev’ry hour.

WE RECEIVE

God’s Gift; eternal life we receive,
When by faith, in Christ’s Name we believe.
This places us into God’s fam’ly,
We’re His children, for eternity.

When by our faith, we are “born again,”
God plainly states we are His children.
Many blessings on us will befall,
When we stand for Christ, straight and tall.

We receive Christ’s Spirit, to abide,
To help us live, what e’er may betide.
He convicts us of sin; helps us pray,
Gives us wisdom and pow’r, day after day.

We receive peace, in our heart so deep,
A blessing we abundantly reap.
This peace will not ever go away,
Jesus gave it; and it’s here to stay.

We receive great love that comforts us,
‘Tis truly a blessing, so precious.
And this wondrous love, we must pass on,
For we must imitate God’s own Son.

We receive joy in our soul, that o’er flows,
Another blessing, our God bestows.
Joy in knowing, a mansion awaits,
And we’ll be welcome, at Heaven’s gate.

We do receive true contentment too,
As our life with Jesus, we pursue.
Godliness with contentment is great gain,
Following Jesus, is not in vain.

We receive from God, many blessings,
So much to His children He brings.
His near Presence, is one of the best,
For this feeling is one of great rest.

WE SHOULD HAVE NO FEAR

“To live is Christ, and to die is gain,” Phil.1:21

“I will never leave nor forsake thee,” Heb.13:5-B
A wondrous promise, one of many.

Passing thru’ waters of life or death, Is.43:2
He’ll never leave us if we have breath.
There to console and give us power,
My loving Saviour is there, ev’ry hour.

“God has not giv’n us a spirit of fear,” 2 Tim.1:7
But pow’r and love, for He’s always near.
Tho’ thru’ the valley of death I walk, Ps.23:4
I have the nearness of Christ, the ‘Rock’. 1 Co.10:4

Fear is cast out, there’s no fear in love, 1 Jn.4:18
Replaced with joy and peace from above. Jn.14:27
He is our peace, granting victory, Ep.2:14
His merciful love does set us free.

We do not have faith, if we have fear, Mk.4:40
For His sustaining love is always near.
Neither death, nor life, nor any pow’r, Ro.8:35-39
Can keep us from Christ’s love, any hour.

We Should Witness

There are many reasons, why this we should do,
if we want to stay close, to our God so true.
God loves us, and He wants us to obey,
He wants us far, far, from the devil's broad way.

When we tell others, about Jesus, our Lord,
We obey what's written, in God's Holy Word.
We must reach out, and the Lord Jesus share,
'Tis how we show others, we really care.

We must speak out, of the hope deep inside,
And the Promise of Heav'n, where we shall reside.
We must tell that Jesus, is the only Way,
And we can live in His Home, some blissful day.

We must tell, of His Holy Spirit within,
And how God forgives us, of all our sin.
But this is just thru' Jesus, so we must tell,
So that His Gospel, can keep folks from Hell.

Jesus will never leave us, never forsake,
We must tell of this Promise, to us He makes.
He's always with us, in good times and bad,
We must tell He's the best Friend, we've ever had.

He watches o'er us, be it day or night,
And His Spirit empow'rs, in our worst plight.
Our Advocate, Christ Jesus will always be,
As we travel the road, to eternity.

There are many reasons, why we should witness,
Topping them all, is that God will surely bless.
When our days on Earth are done, He'll take our hand,
And lead us o'er Jordon, to the Promis'd land!

“WELL DONE”

There is one special thing for which I pray,
It’s on my mind, ev’ry night and day.
I pray that I’ll hear the words: “Well done,”
By my Lord and Master, God’s own Son!

“Well done, my servant,” I pray I’ll hear,
That He’ll turn away, is my worst fear.
I want to please Him, and His will do,
I pray I’ll always be faithful and true.

“My faithful servant, you have done well,”
Now in Heaven with Me, ye shall dwell.
To hear these words, is my greatest desire,
Of serving Jesus, I will never tire.

To hear “Well done,” would be my greatest treasure,
That’s why I serve Him, with enormous pleasure.
“Well done,” words I need so desperately,
That’s why I serve Jesus, so willingly.

WELL OF WICKEDNESS

Satan has a well of wickedness,
And he, in no way, tries to repress.
From this deep well, evil overflows,
Helping the weeds and tares to grow.

His well of wickedness; always there,
From which evil is spread, with much to spare.
Satan, at his job, works very hard,
He sows and waters, is always on guard.

His well of wickedness, never runs dry,
And any and all, for it qualify.
He is in control of wickedness,
The absolute ruler of all darkness.

His well of wickedness, day and night,
We are at war; ‘tis an awful fright.
He transforms his evil to look righteous,
Don’t let him fool you, for it’s spurious.

His well of wickedness, looks so pure,
Making evil and wrong seem obscure.
Only Christ Jesus can set you straight,
Guiding you on course for Heaven’s Gate!

WERE YOU THERE??

He came from Heav’n, many years ago,
To this Earth, for blessings to bestow.
The greatest blessing He e’er did give,
He died for us all, that we might live.

As our Saviour struggled to that hill,
Death awaited Him; for they would kill.
Such an innocent One, and so pure,
On that Cross, OUR death, He did endure.

Were you there? those many years ago?
As His precious Blood from Him did flow?
For the sins of the world, He did die,
He died that we might live; you and I.

Were you there? as He cried in agony?
“My God, why have you forsaken me?”
On OUR sins, God had turned His back,
But Christ persever’d in that time so black.

I was there; MY sins put Him on that tree,
My precious Saviour, did die for ME.
He paid the price, only He could pay,
That all who believe, will go Heav’n’s way.

WHAT A BLESSED DAY

What a blessed day, when I first found,
Bread from Heav’n, that did abound!
As I partook of Him, my soul was fill’d,
And His Holy Spirit, He did instill!

What a blessed day, when I first found,
Living Water, in a stream unbound.
As I drank of Him, His healing flow’d,
And my parch’d soul on Jesus, praise bestow’d.

Without and within, His peace did flow,
One of the many blessings, He did bestow.
Those who hunger and thirst, blest are they,
Christ shall fill their soul, from the first day.

What a blessed day, when I go Home to Heav’n,

To live forever, with my precious Lord,
But for now, He sustains me with His Word!

What About

What about our Triune God, do you believe?
And have you in your heart, the Son received?
There are so many gods, in the world today,
And so many cults, that teach so many ways.

What about salvation, is it works or grace?
Do you one day, want to see Jesus’ Face?
Works won’t get you there, no matter how many,
God’s grace and your faith, gives life eternally.

What about Almighty God, and Creation?
Or do you believe, in evolution?
God does not say, man from apes descend,
God’s Word supports Creation, this it defends.

What about forgiveness, forgive and forget?
Does God really forgive us, all our sin debt?
Christ died to redeem us, from all iniquity,
Believing this gives us, life eternally.

What about the Lake of Fire, which is Hell?
Do you believe that millions, there shall dwell?
God’s vengeance, will be on those who don’t obey,
The Gospel of Christ, and go the devil’s way.

What about Heav’n, are there mansions there?
Have they been prepared, with precision and care?
If there is a Heav’n, there is also a Hell,
Please friend, consider, which place shall you dwell?

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Are you careless, as you live your life?
Are your days filled, with worry and strife?
Does your daily stress, keep stacking high?
Do you, God’s love, reject and deny?

Do you say “yes” when you should say “no”?
Do you insist on, ‘going with the flow’?
Do sin and evil, seem right to you?
Do you have any morals, or virtue?

Are you ‘hooked’ on drugs, or cigarettes?
Does booze enslave you, and you not regret?
Do you covet, what your neighbor owns?
Do you turn away, when right is shown?

If you persist, and sin continue,
The beauty of Heav’n, you shall not view!
The glist’ning walls, and street of gold,
My friend, you will never, ever behold!

If sin and Satan has you firmly bound,
You are doomed, unless Christ is found!
Only Christ from sin, can set you free,
And just He can give life, eternally!

What about you, as you ponder this day?
Will you ever see Heav’n’s glorious display?
Or are you walking that road, big and wide?
That leads to Hell, where most will reside?

In Heav’n, or in Hell, what about you?
Thoughts of eternity, most don’t pursue!
Have you considered eternity?
You decide: Heav’n’s bliss, or hell’s agony!

What Can I Expect?

For my faith in Christ, what can I expect?
Since I accepted Him, I have no regret!
The first thing that comes to mind, is His love,
Which He bestows upon us, from above.

I can expect His strength, to see me thru’,
Ev’ry time I need it, each day anew.
Christ is the Vine, this branch depends on Him,
Without Him, things can seem, awfully dim!

I can expect Him, to always be near,
I will ne’er leave nor forsake,” is quite clear!
It’s a blessing, to know He’s by my side,
And His Spirit, within me, does abide!

I can expect, the Lord God’s awesome peace,
For all my care and worry, are released.
The peace of God, we cannot understand,
It’s the peace that comes only, from God’s Hand!

I can expect forgiveness, for my sins,
Because of my faith in Christ, I did win!
Because of Christ, I have rest for my soul,
When I submitted, and gave Him control!

I can expect, to have my needs supplied,
Because the Blood of Christ, has been applied!
Great contentment and joy, I can expect,
Comforting thoughts, for our God does protect!

I can expect, eternal life in Heav’n,
A Promise from God, so securely giv’n!
I can expect to walk, that street of gold,
And the wondrous bliss of Heav’n, to behold!

Scriptures for above poem: Ps.16:11; Jn.3:15-16; 14:16, 27; 15:1-5; Rom.4:7-8; 8:9; Phil.4:7, 19; Heb.13:5; Mat.11:28-30; 2 Thes.2:16; Col.1:12-14; 1 Tim.6:6; Rev.21.
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (KJV)
John 3:15-17  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (KJV)
1 Peter 1:18-19  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (KJV)
John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (KJV)
1 Peter 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, (KJV)
What can I expect God to do for me?

  1. Provide daily needs (Mat.6:8; Heb.4:16).
  2. Protect from physical death until He says it is time to go home (Lk.16:22; Mat.24:31).
  3. Nurture with unconditional love (IF) you let Him do it.
  4. Give you a job that is eternally important AND equip you to do it.
  5. Send you a Partner you need to do the work (Rom.8:9).
  6. Furnish guidance you need each day (IF) you are willing to listen.
  7. Supply you with all the suffering circumstances and trying people you need to grow into Christ’s likeness (our aim in this life).
  8. Raise you after death, to reign with Him eternally in joy (1 Cor.15:42-54; Phil.3:21).
  9. Give you peace and joy in this life (Jn.14:27; Rom.14:17; 15:13; Gal.5:22).
  10.  Answer all your prayers according to His will.

What will God NOT do for me?

  1. Give you everything that you want (or think that you need).
  2. Protect you from physical pain and suffering.
  3. Make you worldly wealthy.
  4. Give you fame and glory.
  5. Make people love and respect you.
  6. Make all your decisions.
  7. Make you as happy now as you will be in the next life.

What Do People Think Of?

What do people think of, as thru' this life they walk?
What percentage of them, of eternity talk?
Most think of self: me, me, me; only me,
In Church they eat up, 'Word-Faith' prosperity!

People don't like to face up, to the fact they'll die,
Some falsely believe in 'reincarnation,' and on it rely.
Friend, that is simply, Satan's gross trickery,
STOP!!! Go to Christ! He can give you, life eternally!

Whether you believe it or not, your soul lives on,
God gives us this life on Earth, to choose God's Son!
God loves us, wants us one day to live in His Home,
But we must believe and accept Christ, and to Him, come!

In this life, we have only two roads, for our soul,
Wisdom keeps us on the small one, giving Christ control.
But, most are foolish, following Satan's broad path,
STAY OFF! It brings only God's furious and Holy wrath!

Wisdom friend, please don't travel the devil's road,
He'll grin ear to ear, for he wants you in Hell's abode.
Think ahead, not just of this day, make a wise choice,
So that some day your eternal soul, will rejoice!

Jesus is the Truth, the Life and ONLY Way,
That your soul will ever, reach Heaven one day!
Don't be a fool, and travel the devil's gaudy road,
For it leads only, to Hell's agonizing abode!

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH JESUS???

I passed by a funeral home today,
Another lone soul had passed away.
I couldn’t help wonder, as I went by,
Did he accept Christ? or Him deny?

What did he do with Jesus in life?
Did he ‘go it alone,’ in all his strife?
Or did he believe, and trust in Him?
And let Him help out, in this life so grim.

When you first heard of Christ, what did you do?
Did you believe the Gospel, e’er so true?
Or did you turn away, and Him reject?
This only One, whom your soul could protect.

What do you do with Jesus, as you live?
This Special One, whom your sins can forgive,
Plus abundant blessings He holds in store,
This One who holds the ‘key’ to Heav’n’s door.

With our Saviour and King; what will you do?
It’s a personal thing, I tell you true.
He can grant either Heav’n, OR Hell below,
He can give eternal bliss, OR sorrow.

It all depends on what you do with Him,
Accept Him and He’ll remove all your sins.
Reject Him, and in your sins you’ll die,
And for the ‘pits of Hell,’ you’ll qualify.

He stands outside your heart’s door, patiently,
Whispering so softly: “Open to Me.”
It’s the biggest decision you’ll e’er make,
Rejecting Him is an eternal mistake.

WHAT DO YOU SEE?? . . . Dec.2008 Message

When you picture Jesus in your mind,
Just what sort of image do you find?
A Baby, Miracle Man or Teacher?
Saviour, Lord, Friend, Judge, or King grandeur?

Do you in a manger, a Baby find?
With His mother near; loving and kind?
He was a Baby; but is no more!
He’s our loving GOD, whom we should adore!

Do you in your mind, a Great Teacher see?
For He taught with superiority!
Or do you picture, a Miracle Man?
Healing multitudes, as ‘twas God’s plan!

Saviour on the Cross, who did redeem?
Lord, whom we should love, and highly esteem?
Or do you in your mind, see a Friend?
Who never forsakes; is there to the end?

As the Mighty Judge, most will not see,
But, He will judge ALL; both you and me!
At the Judgment Seat, and Great White Throne,
At ONE of these you’ll stand; all alone!

Do you in your mind, see an awesome King?
Sovereign Ruler --- over ev’ry thing!
Our wondrous God, in true justice will reign,
For ever, His righteousness, will remain!

Our precious Jesus, we can always see,
But, our heart must be right; that’s the ‘key’!
We can see Him, in many diff’rent ways,
What we feel in our heart; our mind portrays!

WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS REALLY MEAN?

Christmas is honoring the birth of our Lord,
Like the lowly shepherds; Jesus they adored.
Of His wondrous birth, the angel did tell them,
And they came with haste, to tiny Bethlehem.

The new born babe was lying in a manger,
In a humble barn, but there was no danger.
There was no room at the inn; ‘twas all filled,
It was a silent night, so very stilled.

The Heavenly angels did herald His birth,
And I know they wanted to shout His worth.
This was God’s only begotten Son, for sure,
But a birth of humility; no grandeur.

He was born of a virgin; a peasant girl,
As Isaiah said, proven as years unfurled.
We need to understand just what His birth means,
He came down from Heaven, so God could be seen!

He came out of love, to take away our sins,
The Blood He shed on the Cross, cleans us within.
When we believe God, and trust Jesus to save,
We won’t go to Hell, nor will we be depraved.

Christmas is honoring Jesus, and His birth,
Remember that He is God, and His worth.
Think of His great love, and the gift He does bring,
The ticket to Heaven, what a wondrous thing!

My husband and I no longer celebrate "Christmas" as we once did.
We now consider it a pagan holiday and want no part of it. If it
were a "Godly" holiday, a day where people praised and honored and glorified CHRIST . . . WHY would SO many heathens celebrate it? We believe that Christ should be honored EVERY day, NOT just one day of the year. Christ was NOT born in December! See our article: http://www.hisservants.org/christmas_h_s.htm

WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT FROM US?

We are to believe God, whatever He says,
Study His Word, every one of your days.
Have faith in Him, confidence and trust,
For with Him, these things are a must.

We are to love God, with out entire being,
Love Him, completely, without ever seeing!
Body, soul and mind, each hour of the day,
Put Him first in all things, in every way!

We are to obey God, this Jesus has said,
When we love and obey, we have nothing to dread!
Accept Jesus, love God, then your fellow man,
This God expects of us, ‘tis also His plan!

We are to be thankful to God, in all things,
For He blesses daily, in what He does bring!
Even thank Him, for what you think to be bad,
In the end it’ll work out, and you’ll be glad.

Always thank and praise God, for all He has done,
And be so very grateful, for His only Son.
God really does love the sacrifice of praise,
The fruit of our lips, let’s continually raise!

We are to fear, or revere God all the day through,
For He is so very awesome, great and true!
This deep down respect, we must have for our God,
No matter where we may be; here or abroad!

We are to serve God, and do try to win souls,
Serving our Maker; this must be our goal!
Honor and glorify Him, in actions and speech,
Commit your life to Him, and Heav’n you shall reach!

WHAT DOES GOD HATE??

Did you ever wonder? “What does God hate?”
His Word will tell us, and tell us straight.
Idols are an abomination,
Cursed are they; no matter the nation!

Sacrificing children, kindles God’s wrath,
In days of old, or on today’s path.
Abortion is selfish sacrifice,
Taking that life, friend, you’ll pay the price!

Witchcraft, horoscopes, and divination,
All to God are degradation.
Fortune tellers, and necromancers,
Are hated by our Heav’nly Father.

Homosexuals, and sodomy,
Are hated by God, in great degree.
Sodom and Gomorrah, God did destroy,
For these wicked evils, they did employ.

Cheating, pride, murder, discord, and lies,
Stubbornness too, our God does despise.
Offerings of the wicked, God does hate,
Wickedness, of all rulers, so great.

He that justifieth the wicked,
Are abominable, His Word has said.
Too, if someone does condemn the just,
God hates and looks on them with disgust.

Mocking God’s prophets, and God’s One Son,
Brings down God’s wrath, when Jesus you shun.
God’s great wrath will abide upon you,
Only Christ from that wrath can rescue,

What Have I Done For You??

For me, You have done so many things,
You pour on me, abundant blessings.
Great love and mercy, You send my way,
A terrific way, to start each new day.

But, what dear Lord, have I done for You?
Do I love others, as You would do?
Or do I hastily, walk away?
Never giving them, the time of day?

Dear Lord, what do You expect of me?
Does the life I live, with You agree?
Or do harsh, hateful words that are said,
Displease You Lord, and cause You dread?

In my life, what have I done for You?
Do I do the things, that I ought to?
Do I truly love You, and my brothers?
Do I show love and mercy to others?

All that I do, to those around me,
Be it good or bad, I do unto Thee!
Do I treat others, as I would treat You?
Does my life reveal, a heart re-new’d?

Do unto others, is what You teach,
The hearts of God’s children, You try to reach.
Help me always, to do what is right,
So what I do, is pleasing to Your sight.

WHAT HELD HIM THERE? . . . March 2013 Message

He hung on that Cross; so bleak and bare,
As He suffered; “What held Him there?”
Was it nails they drove in His Hands?
Or was it great love, for all lands?

He could have called legions of angels,
To take Him down, and His agony quell.
Huge rusty nails in His hands and feet,
Did not hold Him there; ‘twas LOVE so sweet!

Great wondrous love, giv’n for me and you,
Love bound Him secure; vast love and true!
He bought our souls with His precious Blood,
Relieved God’s wrath with that crimson Flood!

Those nails did not hold Him to that tree,
“What held Him there?” love for you and me!
Love so very willing and so true,
Deep heart-felt love, we can’t construe!
