Our heart must be the agent when we pray,
We must be sincere; there’s no other way.
Prayer is lifting up your heart to Him,
Words without heart is abomination.

God is the only object when we pray,
Those self-sufficient don’t need it, or care.
To the Father, thru’ Christ, we have access,
Only thru’ His Son, will the Father bless.

Prayer should be a constant exercise,
It’s not of the foolish, but of the wise.
Prayer moves the Hand that moves ev’ry thing,
So important, for it brings His blessings.

Prayer is something we should cultivate,
Continue in it; no matter our state.
By faith, look for answers to your prayers,
For God really loves you, He really cares.

ABOVE AND BEYOND . . . Dec.2005 Message

Above and beyond, Christ Jesus did go,
Enduring great pain, as He suffered so.
By God the Father, our Saviour was sent,
Willingly He came, and to the cross He went.

Above and beyond, is Christ’s love for us,
All God’s children, to Him are precious.
Loving us, guiding us, each day anew,
Christ Jesus looks after, God’s chosen few.

Above and beyond, Christ goes for me and you,
With an awesome love, that’s forever true.
He will never leave, He will not forsake,
If a commitment to Him, we will make.

As I do consider my life this day,
Do I love Him enough? Do I obey?
Do I go above and beyond, for my Lord?
Or do I turn my back, on Him and His Word?

Above and beyond, NO! I do not go,
I fall so short, causing Christ sorrow.
I must love Him more, with my heart, soul and mind,
Then vast treasures of blessings, I will find.

Accept or reject Christ; I must choose,
Accept Him, I win! Reject Him, I lose!
I choose to reject, if I choose to wait,
This choice has me knocking, on Hell’s gate.

Christ is the most important choice we’ll make,
We must take care, we don’t make a mistake!
We’re all on the journey, to eternity,
What we choose, greatly affects you and me.

This journey we’re on, is where we’ll decide,
Where in eternity, we will abide.
Many detour signs we’ll see on the way,
‘Tis Christ warning us, to go the other way.

The small road with Christ, is rugged and steep,
But He guides in love, and carefully keeps.
The devil’s road is a broad and smooth path,
But, friend, it only leads to God’s holy wrath.

We face choices, some very important ones,
The greatest of all, is God’s own Son.
Jesus will never force Himself on you,
Reject Him? Accept Him? What will you do?

Life’s journey has many pitfalls and snares,
Choosing Jesus is wise, for He really cares.
But when you reject Him, the devil grins,
And friend, you’re in a battle, you can’t win!

When you reject Christ, the devil you choose,
You’re on a collision course, you’re sure to lose.
But, if accepting Christ is what you decide,
To you the gates of Heaven, will open wide!

Access to the Father can be direct,
But God’s own Son we must not reject.
Only Christ Jesus can justify,
On His love and mercy we can rely.

By faith are we saved, thru’ God’s grace,
All our wicked sins God does erase.
We are no longer God’s enemy,
We’re now His children, you and me!

We now have access to God’s great throne,
For Christ’s precious Blood did atone.
Direct access to God, day or night,
No matter our problem, or our plight.

To God, we have unlimited access,
He’ll answer our prayers, and He’ll bless.
Only Christ, this access can provide,
When in His vast power we do confide.

To God’s great throne you can have access,
And God will daily, abundantly bless!
Into God’s presence, by Christ alone,
In the Word of God, this is plainly shown!

Access to Heaven

You can’t access Heav’n, by works you do,
It’s just reserved for the precious few.
God made a Plan, so many years ago,
Only by Jesus’ Blood, can we go!

No rituals can give you Heav’n’s key,
Rituals just give you, Hell’s agony.
Jesus holds the key, He’s God’s only Plan,
Heav’n’s door opens only, for the Son of Man!

Great riches cannot open Heav’n’s gate,
No matter if you are, famous or great.
All gold is just simply, yellow earth,
In God’s eyes, you’re nothing, of no worth.

No matter your wisdom, or your pow’r,
You cannot gain Heav’n, for ev’n one hour.
God states that Jesus, is the only Way,
To e’er see Heav’n’s glorious array.

Christ tells us we must take the narrow road,
And walk close to Him, to reach Heav’n’s abode.
No matter what you think, there’s NO other way,
Just Jesus can get you to Heav’n one day!

Mat.7:13-14; John 1:12-13; 3:3; 3:15-18,36; 14:6; 1 John 5:10-12

After Death, Then What?

Most never think of eternity,
As they keep on, in iniquity.
Judgment seems not, to enter their mind,
They must think God, it totally blind!

To one and all shall come, Judgment Day,
You cannot avoid it, there’s NO way!
We must consider, you and me,
As we walk on, to eternity!

Eternity! Just what does it mean?
It’s something future, that can’t be seen!
It really exists, God’s Book does say,
It’s there that we all, shall be one day!

This life on Earth, is where we decide,
Where in eternity, we’ll reside!
We must consider this, seriously,
Paying attention, so carefully!

Foremost, the Lord God, we must believe,
If salvation, we want to receive.
We must have faith in Jesus, God’s Son,
Trust Him always, as to Him we run!

Only Christ Jesus, has Heaven’s key,
Just He can lead, to peace and glory!
He can make it, so in Heaven we dwell,
Just He can keep us, from the fires of Hell!

After death, have you thought where you’ll go?
To Heaven above, or Hell below?
The decision rests, just in YOUR hand,
Hell’s horror, or Heaven’s Glory land!

Agony in Gethsemane . . . April 2012 Message

Our Saviour knelt, in sheer humility,
There in the garden, of Gethsemane.
Not for Himself, but for us, He did pray,
As His Father, He willingly obeyed.

Christ prayed that the cup, be taken away,
If there were possibly, another way.
But if not, may His Father’s will be done,
Obedience would come, from God’s own Son.

He rose from His pray’r, found His friends asleep,
Why sleep ye? rise and pray, from temptation keep.
Then came Judas with a great multitude,
And a kiss to the Lord, he did include.

To the chief priest and scribes, Christ was led away,
Satan won that round, Christ had been betray’d.
From afar off, Peter did follow Him,
Chances of Christ’s release, surely were dim.

Many bare false witnesses, against the Lord,
But none of their witness, was in accord.
I’ll destroy this temple, others did say,
And rebuild it again, within three days.

The high priest and asked Jesus: “What do you say?”
But the Lord answered nothing, on that day.
“Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
He said “I am,” as He was sorely pressed.

You’ll see the Son of Man, on the right hand of pow’r,
Come in the clouds of Heav’n, you know not the hour.
The high priest then accused Him, of blasphemy,
He was condemn’d to death, the verdict: guilty!

He gave His back, to those who did smite,
They plucked the hair off His cheeks, just for spite.
The people spit on Him, hit Him with their hands,
His Face was marred, more than any man, in the land.

Jesus stumbled up the hill, to Calvary,
So weak from the suffering, and agony.
He took our place, on that dreadful day,
Because He loves us, and God He did obey.

Most ne’er think, of what our Saviour went thru’,
Those who accept His Work, are among the “few”.
Jesus went thru’, great distress and agony,
When you believe, you have life eternally.

Prophecies about Christ’s passion. Psalm 22:6-8; 22:11-13; 22:17-21; 69:7-9; 69:20; 109:25; Isaiah 50:6; 52:13-14; 53:1-12; Micah 5:1; Zech. 11:12-13; 13:6-7; Mat.16:21; 17:12; 17:22-23; 20:17-19; 27:35; Mark 8:31; 10:1-52; 15:24; Luke 2:34-35; 9:22; 18:31-33; 22:37; 23:34; John 12:38; 19:23; 1 Peter 1:11
Christ’s agony in Gethsemane: Mark 14:27-31. Desertion of Jesus: (Mat.26:31-35; Luke 22:31-38; John 13:36-38). Mark 14:32-42. Agony in the Garden. ( Mat.26:36-46; Luke 22:39-46). Betrayal and Apprehension of Jesus: (Mat. 26:47-56; Mark 14:43-52. Luke 22:47-53; John 18:1-12). Mark 14:53-72. Jesus Arraigned before the Sanhedrim: (Mat.26:57-75; Luke 22:54-71; John 18:13-18, 24-27).

Luke 22:43-44 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. [44] And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (KJV)
Every thing that the Gospel writers say about the state of mind in which our Lord entered into this conflict, proves the enormous nature of the assault upon Him, for the perfect foreknowledge of its terrors were possessed by the meek and lowly Jesus. But Luke brings out three things not mentioned by the Matthew, Mark or John.
1. When Christ was in His agony, there appeared to Him an angel from Heaven, strengthening Him, not to comfort (He would have none of that), but purely to sustain and brace up sinking nature for a yet hotter and fiercer struggle.
2. Being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Prayer, though never out of season, is especially helpful when we are in pain and agony.
3. In this agony His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down. This showed the struggle of His soul.
Some say it is impossible to sweat blood. That is not true. It is possible under circumstances of extreme suffering or stress. “Hematidrosis” is the medical term. Our Lord Jesus WAS under extreme stress and spiritual suffering of His soul.
The fearful effects in the Garden of Gethsemane, was to ransom sinners for whom the Redeemer prayed, agonized, and bled . . . ending with the torture of crucifixion. Have you thanked Him? If not, why not???

ALL FOR THE LIKES OF ME . . . June 1999 Message & Feb.2013 Message

You left Heaven’s most splendid glory,
And came to Earth, for the likes of me.
You gave up comfort, for grief and pain,
That sinful me, might have eternal gain.

You left the beauty of Heaven above,
And came to man’s evil, all in love.
Tremendous sorrow and agony,
You did go thru’, for the likes of me.

You left Heaven, as great God and King,
And came to Earth, with simply nothing.
You became a humble Servant here,
For the likes of me, that I might not fear.

You left all of the Heavenly hosts,
Came to the sin, of the earthly coasts.
You left the praise and glory above,
And came down to the likes of me, in love.

You left it all; and here had no home,
Left riches; and in poverty, did roam.
Was not accepted, or recognized,
For the likes of me; ‘tis hard to surmise.

Wonderful Jesus, Saviour and Lord,
Died on the Cross, as told in your Word.
All done in great love, given so free,
To take sin away, from the likes of me.

I dread the destiny of lost souls,
All whose names are not on Heaven’s roll.
They’ll ALL stand before the ‘Great White Throne’,
For they did not accept God’s ‘Way’ to atone.

Payday will come, for one and for all,
For they refused Christ when He did call.
God’s ‘Books’ will be opened on that ‘Day’,
Not one will be able to run away!

Your turn will come; you can count on it!
And the ‘Righteous Judge’ will not acquit.
He will judge all your sin righteously,
You’re condemned to Hell, for eternity.

The ‘Righteous Judge’, our Saviour and Lord,
Will ask why you turned from His Word.
The greatest sin of ALL these ones,
Is unbelief, and rejecting God’s Son.

I hate to think of the ‘Judgment Day’,
And all lost souls who would not obey.
Ev’ry one of them is doomed to Hell,
In agony and remorse, they will dwell.

O’, please dear friend, as you read these words,
I pray you have trusted Christ as Lord.
He’s the ONLY ‘ONE’ who can save you,
Believe and accept; He will rescue!

The thunder roars, and the winds are fierce,
Such a storm; it seems my soul to pierce.
Lightening flashes, flood waters roll,
On my tired body, the storm takes its toll.

The sun rises with the break of day,
The terrible storm, has passed away.
On the freshened grass, sunbeams are cast,
The horrid storm is completely past.

Many great storms, may come in our life,
Bringing much turmoil, sorrow and strife.
But, as a storm, our troubles shall flee,
All storms in life pass, you must agree.

Does One comfort when a storm comes your way?
Can you feel the Presence He displays?
Do you have joy in the midst of pain?
Can you be free from worry and strain?

When a bad storm, in life has arrived,
Your strength and wisdom can be revived.
Take your troubles, to the Lord in prayer,
He’s willing to help, and always there.

Jesus can help those storms pass away,
His comfort and strength makes a brighter day.
While troubles linger so close to you,
Turn to Christ Jesus to see you thru’.

No matter the storm, they all will pass,
Don’t allow doubt and worry to amass.
Jesus can take all your fears away,
All storms pass; follow’d by a brighter day.

ALL TOO OFTEN . . . Jan.2010

Wisdom in decisions, is what I ask,
For oft I encounter, difficult tasks.’
All too often, I choose the wrong paths,
Bringing down upon me, your righteous wrath.

Love in my heart, when I face enemies,
For I must consider, eternity.
All too often, when I am hurt, I hate,
This my Lord Jesus, does not appreciate.

Patience in my life, sometimes I do lack,
I ask Lord, that I stay on the right track.
Quick temper, not thinking before I speak,
Let me be like Jesus, patient and meek.

All too often, I think and do wrong things,
Leading me away, from the Lord’s blessings.
The devil steps in, and tempts me to stray,
Oh! Lord, please keep me on the narrow way.

Oft I consider, pleasures of the world,
As Satan tempts me, wit riches unfurl’d.
I clearly do need You Lord, by my side,
If I in Heav’n, e’er want to reside.

I claim Your Promise, that You won’t forsake,
For when You are near, less errors I make.
Give me wisdom Lord, to walk in Your Light,
For the devil can’t stand, Your path so bright.

Knowing Christ is all the glory I need,
Praise off’red us, we should not pay heed.
To our God belongs ALL praise and glory,
For He has given life eternally!

Accepting glory that is due our Lord,
Is simply something we can’t afford.
‘Twill be all the reward we’ll e’er receive,
Too, the Holy Spirit, we sorely grieve!

We don’t want to be as a Pharisee,
Taking as ours, God’s praise and glory.
Being “in Christ’ is all the glory I need,
Pride and conceit should die, and be buried.

All the glory I need each single day,
Is my Saviour, as Him I portray.
I must live each moment as He would live,
And forgiveness and love, I too must give.

Christ Jesus is all the glory I need,
All honor and glory is His indeed!
I’ll be content with life eternally,
In Heav’n with Christ, and His glory!

Much knowledge of doctrine some people possess,
When the church doors open, they do access.
No church can save you, no matter its might,
They are almost a Christian, but not quite!

Some people are morally good and kind,
Lust, pride, or anger rarely enters their mind.
They do good to others, they love not hate,
They’re almost a Christian, but won’t reach the gate!

Some folks are known to the ends of the Earth,
They have fame and pow’r, and are of much worth.
Some have a truly good reputation,
They’re almost a Christian, but in truth, not one!

Some have public and private devotions,
With music, chanting and meditations.
They worship and they serve God frequently,
They’re almost a Christian, yet no victory!

Many are “not far” from the kingdom of God,
But without Jesus, they are simply frauds.
“Not far from” is not “in” Christ plainly states,
You must have Jesus to reach Heaven’s gates!

“Not far from” is a hopeful condition,
Accept God’s Son, and receive salvation!
You can be a Christian this very day,
But friend, Christ Jesus is the ONLY WAY!

Always and only, His will we should do,
Yet as naughty children, we are not true.
We follow paths, He wants us not to take,
Then too, wrong decisions, we always make.

His will in our life, always and only,
Trust Him always; you’ll have less agony.
He knows what is best for one and for all,
And He’ll be there, if we stumble and fall.

Always and only; His will should come first,
Lack of trust, may bring sorrows to be nurs’d.
Have faith in His wisdom and His power,
Our God’s will is best, no matter the hour.

Do you ever think you can do it yourself?
Then end up in a mess, without His help?
If it’s not His will, troubles dominate,
All done to His glory, will not frustrate.

His will we should do, only and always,
He’ll then shower with blessings, all our days.
Doing the will of God from the heart,
As servants of Christ, that we ne’er depart.

Teach me to do thy will, always, only,
For thou art my God, please grant me mercy.
As on this Earth we walk, God we should please,
Not as pleasing men; but God to appease.

Lord, what e’er You want for me, is fine,
Always Your will be done, never mine.
Wisdom I possess, is nothing at all,
That’s why each day, on You I will call.

Always and only, Your will for me,
In accepting this, I have victory.
Life without Your guidance, is not wise,
I must not listen, to Satan’s lies.

In this wicked world, troubles arrive,
Without You near, I couldn’t survive.
Your will for me Lord, only and always,
Show me what You want, for me each day.

Teach me and guide me, each day anew,
For I know Your strength, will see me thru’.
Your will be done Lord, this is my pray’r,
For I’m sure Your Presence, is always there.

The Father’s will, Lord, You did accept,
I’d be a fool, if His will I’d reject.
Always and only, Your will for me,
As I walk with You, thru’ eternity.

If you’re a Christian, you must thank God,
Red, yellow, black, or white; where e’er you trod.
Be grateful to God, He gave His own Son,
Once you believe this, life’s just begun.

Speak of His righteousness, all day long,
Thank and praise Him, in prayer and song.
What a wonderful God, there above,
He’s mercy, compassion, and such love.

His promise is, He’ll always be there,
He’s loving and caring, and so fair.
Great promises in His Word He’s made,
We should not be sorrowful, nor afraid.

Thank Him for fam’ly, friends, and your home,
Always be grateful, where e’er you roam.
The food you eat, the clothes that you wear,
Come just from God, He truly does care.

Be thankful for the peace in your heart,
That internal peace, that won’t depart.
And joy that comes from knowing our fate,
One day we’ll meet Him at Heav’n’s front gate!

What a wondrous God we have above,
It’s only right, we show’r Him with love.
For that’s what He’s done, for me and you,
Always thank Him, and always be true.

Give to God the sacrifice of praise,
Thank and praise Him the rest of our days.
No matter who you are or where you’re from,
Always thank Him, ‘til He calls you Home!

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)  . . . If you want to go where the Father is, you must go through Jesus! Are you allowing the LORD to guide you to the bliss of Heaven? If not, WHY not?

AM I WORTHY?? . . . July 2011 Message

Am I not as good, as the one next to me?
Am I not worthy, of life eternally?
Does not the good, far outweigh the bad I do?
Would God send me to Hell? could this be true?

People have many questions, of ev’ry kind,
Questions that provoke, the thoughts of their mind.
God is love they say, He’s not a God of wrath,
So they keep right on, that big, broad, worldly path.

Most folks don’t consider, what God has to say,
They think they know best, as they hurry on their way.
By grace are ye saved thru’ faith, ‘tis a gift of God,
Not by works we do, for that would make us proud.

We must ne’er judge ourselves, with another,
For God alone judges us, with Christ our Brother!
There is NO salvation, in any other name,
Without belief in Christ, your sin is dreadful shame.

The wages of our sin, is eternal Hell,
Without Christ, that horrid place, is where you shall dwell.
Just belief in Christ, gives eternal life in Heav’n,
The Gift of eternal life, just by God is giv’n.

NO one is worthy, of God’s eternal Home,
We must follow Christ, as in this life we roam.
Righteousness we have, comes for Christ, Him alone,
His Sacrifice on the cross, did atone.

‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
Our Creator God, loves me and you!
He sent His Son to die for our sins,
When we believe, eternal life begins!

‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
When we believe, God forgives me and you!
God will condemn those who won’t believe,
Rejection of Christ, means Hell you receive.

‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
We’ll be accountable, me and you!
A dreadful sin to God, is unbelief,
Rejection of Christ gives eternal grief.

‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
Belief makes us God’s friends, me and you.
He will make us His child, and His heir,
And the joy of Heav’n, we’ll all share.

‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
Reserv’d mansions await me and you!
When to Christ, we open our heart’s door,
Abundant blessings from Him will pour!

‘Tis amazing, but it is so true,
God truly does love both me and you!
Everlasting glory waits above,
When we accept God’s amazing love!

Amazing grace, set my burden’d soul free,
It granted me peace and serenity.
Almighty God revealed His awesomeness,
His children He does abundantly bless.

His amazing grace we do not deserve,
Yet in our ev’ry trial, God does observe.
His divine love and mercy does o’er flow,
‘Tis a privilege this awesome God to know.

What a joy to feel His amazing grace,
Now only slightly, but one day Face to face.
We’ll live in His majestic Home on high,
All who love and obey God, shall never die.

God’s amazing grace to us always flows,
He truly wants us His character to know.
He reveals Himself as we draw e’er so near,
As we fellowship with Him in reverent fear.

God’s amazing grace gives comfort and pow’r,
Ev’n in our most dreaded and woeful hour.
For Your encouragement, this child thanks You,
I thank You for Your exalted love so true.

‘Tis Your amazing grace that forgives me,
And that same grace gives me life eternally.
I thank You Lord, I praise Your Holy Name,
‘Tis by faith, Your amazing grace I claim.

Amazing Love of Christ

Love urged Jesus, to leave Heaven’s safety,
To come to Earth, to pay sin’s penalty.
I can’t comprehend, Jesus’ kind of love,
Care, concern, compassion, just from above!

In Gethsemane, love made Jesus pray,
Let this cup pass, if there’s another way!
But there was no other way, He had to die,
He did not back down, He did not e’vn try!

Love made Jesus endure, His horrid fate,
Violent torture, Christ did tolerate!
Severe whipping, made His bones to be bare,
The Bible says: they look on me and stare!

Love allowed Jesus, not one word to say,
In His defense, on that horrible day!
He was delivered, because of envy,
His own people, refused to set Him free

The Jews demanded, He be crucified,
Because of His blasphemy, He must die!
They stripped Him, and put on Him a scarlet robe,
And a crown of thorns, on Him they bestow’d.

In love to us, He went up to Calv’ry,
To pay our sin debt, and set our soul free.
Such amazing love, I can’t comprehend,
Deep, heart-felt love, He could never pretend!

The love of Christ, I cannot comprehend,
The Almighty Creator, calls me friend!
I am not worthy, to put on His shoe,
Yet this Majestic God, loves me and you!

Some things to consider

Here are some of the unlawfulness of the Jewish trials. #1. A man could never be arrested at night for a capital crime. Jesus' arrest took place between 1 and 2 o'clock at night. #2. No arrest for a capital crime could be made upon information given by a follower or colleague of the accused. The entire plot revolved around Judas, one of Jesus’ followers. #3. No Jewish trial could be held at night. Both trials before Annas and Caiaphas, were held in darkness. #4. After hearing the testimony of witnesses in a capital crime, they could not immediately act and judge. They were to go home and remain alone and separate from one another for two days. They did not do that. They Jewish court never left the presence of Caiaphas! #5. Their vote was supposed to be taken from the youngest to the oldest so that the youngest wouldn't be intimidated or influenced by the older votes. This never happened.

Barabbas was a notorious criminal, he was a murderer, he was an insurrectionist, he was guilty of sedition and he was bound in prison awaiting death by crucifixion. It was a capital crime he had committed. He was the one guilty of treason, not Jesus. So, Pilate thought that if he were to put Barabbas next to Jesus, and offered to release one of them, the Jews would say, "Don't release Barabbus! Release Jesus!" But it backfired upon him. They said they wanted Jesus crucified (Matthew 27:19-23)!
So they gathered a band of soldiers, stripped Him and put on a scarlet robe on Him, placed a crown of thorns on His Head, and a reed in His Right Hand, mocked Him by bowing down and saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” They hit Him on His Head, spit on him, and led him away to be crucified. (Matthew 27:26-31).
You and I deserve that spit. We deserve the nails in His Feet and Hands. It was OUR sin that He bore, NOT His. It was OUR place He took on the cross. We should have been there NOT Him! We are the guilty ones, we are like sheep gone astray, turned everyone to our own ways. We are the rebels. OUR iniquity has separated us from God, NOT His. The message behind all of this is because of Jesus’ amazing love, He died for us! He did it for us. He became sin for us, so we would not have to pay sin’s penalty . . . eternity in Hell!  John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

The wonderful peace Your Presence brings,
Is truly, an amazing blessing!
As a gentle river, flooding my soul,
Peace came in, when I gave Christ control!

Amazing peace, way deep down inside,
When I allowed You, to be my Guide!
No turmoil nor strife, does my heart know,
Since the blessing of peace, You did bestow!

Amazing peace, You did give to me,
You set my heart and soul so free!
When I turned my all, over to You,
My whole life took on a diff’rent view!

Your Presence within, gives wondrous peace,
From sin’s bondage, my soul found release!
Such amazing peace, that’s here to stay,
What a blessing, an awesome display!

Amazing peace, as a river flowing,
Peace as a breeze, on a hot day blowing!
Thank You Lord, for this awesome blessing,
Peace from You dear Lord, so amazing!

This amazing peace, comes from You alone,
Without You Lord, it cannot be known!
This peace is mine, for eternity,
Only You, dear Jesus, hold the key!

AN AWESOME FEELING . . . Aug. 2001 Message

Such a fantastic peace floods my soul,
No sadness this hour, will take its toll.
Such a close bond, I feel with my King,
Ne’er have I had a better blessing!

Closeness between God, and me alone,
Such a great feeling I’ve never known.
Ne’er has joy like this been in my heart,
I pray this feeling will ne’er depart.

Tremendous joy this closeness provides,
For I feel Your Presence, in me abide!
I truly love this closeness with You,
I wish it would come, each day anew.

This feeling comes from Your wondrous grace,
Sin’s burden, far away You have chased.
This awesome feeling, makes me glow,
A blessing indeed, this closeness to know!

Inexpressible closeness that I feel,
Seems that my whole heart and soul it heals!
For this awesome closeness, I thank You,
I know it comes from Your love so true.

I know this closeness, infrequently,
But soon I’ll know it, eternally!
My sin that blocks, ‘twill be no more,
For I’ll ne’er sin again, on Heav’n’s shore!

The Cross of Christ was a place of shame,
But for that purpose, our Saviour came.
That Cross was a place of self-sacrifice,
And the work He accomplished did suffice.

The Cross was a place of God’s mercy,
God sent His Son, to die, for you and me.
That Cross was a place of pow’r, complete,
The sins of us all, it can delete.

The Cross is a place of atonement,
Jesus’ Blood, alone, is sufficient.
That Cross is where Christ did intercede,
My friend, Christ Jesus is all we need.

The Cross is a place of great promise,
Giving us the hope of Heaven’s bliss.
That Cross is a place of justice sure,
Righteousness promised by Christ so pure.

The Cross of Christ is where we must go,
To avoid the verdict of Hell below.
Kneel at His Cross, Christ will cleanse your soul,
And will grant you Heaven as your goal.

An Open Door

Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.(KJV)

An open door stands, wide open to you,
Will your faith allow you, to walk thru’?
Or will you turn away, because of fear?
When to the Promised Land, you are so near?

Fear or faith, which will it be for you?
Will you back away, or walk boldly thru’?
The Promised Land, is on the other side,
Where we can in peace and comfort, abide.

Your enemies, God shall expel from your sight,
When we trust God in faith, He makes things right.
The Promised Land, God says we can possess,
If thru’ that open door, we do access.

That we love the Lord God, we must take heed;
Trusting Him in faith, is our greatest deed.
Backing away in fear, taking the wrong path,
Does sadden His Heart, and brings on His wrath,

Going thru’ that open door, brings good things,
God opens His warehouse, of grand blessings.
To turn and run away, is a bad mistake,
Fear causes you, the Lord God to forsake.

Eyes of faith, eyes of fear, which will it be?
Have you e’er considered, eternity?
Faith in God brings you, to the Promised Land,
Fear brings only Hell, God’s reprimand.

An Open Road

Before each of us, is an open road,
As we journey to, our eternal abode.
Sometimes the road is straight, with light to see,
Other times it’s so dark, with misery.

Some time our road leads, to a mount, so high,
It is foolish, on our strength to rely.
The rougher the road, the more help we need,
‘Tis wise if we would follow, where He leads.

Rocky ledges, so slippery and steep,
On the ridge of a canyon, wide and deep.
Many times we don’t know, which way to go,
Choosing the wrong one, could cause great sorrow.

‘Tis pleasant when our road, is smooth and straight,
But far too often, that is not our fate.
At times raging rivers, we’ll have to cross,
Not accepting Christ’s help, would be great loss.

We know not, what the road ahead might bring,
It may be sadness, or we may want to sing.
That road is important, to you and me,
Consider: it leads to eternity!

Each of us journey, on an open road,
As we travel, to our eternal abode.
Are you traveling with Jesus, in His light?
Or are you on Satan’s road, dark as night?

The narrow road leads, to Heaven’s glory,
Where we will then have, life eternally.
Keep off the broad road, that leads just to Hell,
For there for e’er, with Satan you shall dwell.

Trying His best to keep His children from wrong.

Long ago, ‘twas a man called Saul,
He persecuted Christ, with his all.
Near Damascus, where he would arrest
Those of ‘This Way’; he had a great test!

A great light from Heaven blinded him,
He fell to the Earth; things were so grim.
“Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?”
Saul knew ‘twas Christ, in his agony.

From that day on, Paul made a ‘U’ turn,
Took a stand for Christ; this he did learn.
‘Twas beaten in stripes above measure,
Christ was his only hope and pleasure.

In prison more frequent, in deaths oft’,
Living for Jesus was hard, not soft!
Jews, five times gave him thirty nine stripes,
Stoned once, and beaten with rods thrice.

‘Twas thrice in a shipwreck, in the deep,
So weary, often he could not sleep.
Hunger, thirst, fasting, naked and cold,
Surviving it all, for Christ he’d behold.

Perils of water, robbers and Jews,
But nothing changed his Christian views.
Perils in the city and wilderness,
But words of Christ, he would not repress.

As Christians, how do we fare today?
Are we strong like Paul, and Christ obey?
Do we live the life Christ wants us to?
Or are we ashamed? me and you?
